This stretch of land offers widely varying topography and plant life. An array of paved trails and manicured gardens circle the place, but a wildflower sanctuary and some more rugged terrain exist towards the edge of the property. It appeared that the park required a parking fee at least some of the time, though it didn't seem to be enforced while I was there (maybe it's a Memorial Day-Labor Day situation?). Regardless, the $10 for a car would be a pretty good deal. There was a kid's garden that looked nice and which costs extra. One can walk into the gardens from nearby footpaths as well, though there did not seem to be any access directly from the residential neighborhoods nearby.

We were driving cross county and stopped to stay in the area. We needed a nice, long walk before resuming our trip, and found out about this place. It is beautiful! I am super jealous that we don't have a gem like this nearby. They have excellent walking trails, both paved and unpaved. The gardens have a huge variety of habitats, as well as a lot of cool things to discover. There were plenty of people walking around here on a weekday morning, so I can tell lots of people love this garden.

So surprised I have yet to review Glenwood Gardens. Glenwood Gardens is part of the Great Parks of Hamilton County system. A parking pass is required. Year long or day passes are available for purchase. Parking is located towards the front of the park. Paved and nature trails lead visitors through forests, prairies and wetlands. This park is great for allowing children to experience the different eco systems they read about in schools. We always see lots of birds during our visits here. While the shade of the forest is a welcome reprieve on a hot day, the sun of the prairie can be relentless. Make sure to wear a hat, and bring sunscreen. True to it's name, there is even a traditional garden area. There are plenty of areas for picnics. This park is also a popular spot for photos. A whimsical children's play area is a favorite with younger children. Pre-COVID, many children's classes/workshops occured in the children's area.

Glenwood Gardens has been such a lifesaver for me during this Covid crisis. I walk there Monday through Friday mornings. Seeing all the changes during each season has been exciting and I have gotten to know the people who work there. You can't imagine how much they do to make this such an amazing place to be. If you haven't gone to the Children's Garden Discovery Center, then you are really missing out on a gem. You should go even if you don't have children, but if you do, it's a must - fairy garden, vegetable garden, miniature trains, huge metal dragon, etc. One of the ponds off the top loop has water lilies that bloom for about two months! We've seen turkeys, deer, rabbits and a myriad of birds. There are herons that nest there and one day we even saw an eagle!!! This place is a real treasure!

the first time we came here there were no one at the gate so we got in free but paid to get info the other side. I like playing with my camera on the other side ..you pay in the building that has gift shop. The have the gate locked so i gather thats the only way in. In that section they have a cute kids area with miniaturize train, huge fake tree that looks like something from alice and wonderland, lovely flowers and fish ponds with loads of dragonflies. they have a cute dragon with with glowing eyes near the fairy garden area. Cute area for kids of all ages. My fav area is the marshy pond way in the back that has lots of frogs and dragonflies.this time there was some all the gate so we had to pay to get in .. they do accept credit cards. I think it was 5 for the day or 14 for years pass because we live outside the county. I think it was around 5 each to get in the side we came to see. they give you a sticker to put on your shirt. to be frank i don't know if this is on a honor bases .. didn't seem like anyone was monitoring it.on the other side that you don't have to pay extra .. its a big paved loop to walk .. huge mature trees ... lovely peaceful place.

Fun place to enjoy nature and kids have plenty of things to stay busy. There's a huge tree house, trains to see, and a place to create/learn about different animals and insects. You did need a Hamilton County Parks pass to get in or you can buy a one day pass and there is admission into the gardens. Admission into the gardens is $5 for ages 2 and up.

There are so many great parks in the Northern Cincinnati area but Glenwood Gardens is one of the best! It's surprisingly large and has two or three main trails, though be aware of which one you choose because the longer ones can be a bit brutal in the heat with a noticeable lack of shade on the trail. The main overlook is stunning and would be great for special event photos.

One of my favorite parks in Cincinnati. It has 3 wonderful loops that, when combined, get you a little over 3 miles. 1 is entirely paved, 1.5 are gravel, and half of the third loop is in a nicely shaded trail. The three loops offer a wonderful variety of running/walking options and this park is never very busy. Super bonus: no bicycles. Only runners, walkers, puppies, and nature enthusiasts. And not to jinx it, but there is a wonderful quiet reverence that everyone assumes once they are in this secret garden. Seriously, no one is ever obnoxiously loud.A great place to bring the kiddos for the gift shop/kids play area-though the hours are limited. If you are looking to rekindle your romance with Mother Nature this summer, this is the place to do it.

Such a cute place for little ones to explore the outdoors. My 4 year old loved the treehouse, gardens, pond and train display. It's a great place to expose little ones to nature at the same time teach them about gardening, insects and plants! There is a trail you can hike down or even have a picnic.

Several gravel walking paths and some natural paths as well. Enjoyed a 2.5 mile walk around the meadow and inside the woods. Lovely views all year round!
