Genki Ramen Izakaya

Newly opened, a decent spot in the Oakley area across from the Kroger parking lot with a decent amount of parking and inside the seating is spaced out enough with some booths and table seating.The service has been good during our visits and you can find sushi, Hibachi and rice dishes, along with the Ramen offerings. Taste wise, the food has been flavorful and one the warm weather hits, there is also outside seating available as well.

I've ordered take out before but this is my first time coming in person to this location. Came in a Friday night after a work happy hour across the street at Madtree. It was not too busy and we got seated right away. There is also parking in front and the side so easy to park in the strip mall plaza. I ordered the curry chicken katsu Don with a spicy Japanese yellow curry sauce and my friend got the Shoyu ramen. We also got the Takoyaki appetizer. This was my first time trying Takoyaki. It was cool to have the shaved bacon bits on top that curled up from the heat. They are octopus filled dough balls and were very flavorful and delicious. I really enjoyed my curry chicken katsu Don meal but wish there was more Japanese curry as it was too little for the amount of breaded chicken and then is so plain. I really loved the curry as it was spicy and just the right amount of spice to enjoy. It is a curry that tastes like an Indian/Japanese fusion curry and is thick and hearty. There should be some other garnishes and sauces to go with this dish but it was still good.The waitress was very efficient and friendly. The food came out quickly as well (as we were starving after a few drinks across the street). I will definitely be back to try the ramen as my friends ramen bowl looked so delicious and smelled amazing. I want to be back to try more of the menu items.

I'm personally not the biggest fan of Genki Ramen but I will rate it based on merit.The ramen and gyoza were very well cooked and prepared. Everything was super tasty! Service was amazing and quick! Couldn't ask for better!I always appreciate that Genki Ramen is very clean and well maintained.Based off the service, quality of food, and maintenance of the restaurant, I think this location deserves five stars for this interaction. Keep up the good work!

All the ra ra about the ramen is confirmed- it is eggcellent!! We got the miso and tonkatsu ramen and the hot sake and green tea. The miso ramen was flavorful and the service was so quick. I love the ramen mural, it's so detailed and colorful. The restaurant is fast casual but very comfortable and clean. Perfect for rainy dates or takeout.

My husband and I needed snack while we were out running errands. I had ramen at Genki before, so I knew it was good. This particular visit, we tried the okonomiyaki, the chicken karaage, and the spicy garlic edamame. I would happily eat them all again, but the star of the show was the edamame. We loved the spicy garlic! The restaurant was clean and the service was good.

Genki Ramen is a go-to favorite of mine! The food is always delicious and I always get one of the teriyaki dishes, but this time it was a bit saltier than usual: it was still pretty good though! My parents got the Miso Ramen and the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen. The both said each of their ramen was especially tasty and has become their now favorites ! The service was good, fast, and reliable and our drinks were never empty. The music selection was well chosen and the staff was very friendly. I'll always recommend Genki Ramen for good food!!

If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would. It's in a large shopping complex and the inside feels relatively new and generic. Not a huge place but we went for lunch on a weekday and got a table right away.We got the okonomiyaki and soft shell crab for appetizers. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen for my main course. The soft shell crab was quite saturated in oil and not super flavorful. The okonomiyaki was mostly soggy as well. The spicy ramen had a decent spice but was a bit too salty.Overall, if you want ramen and you happen to be close by, this would be an okay choice. Not sure I would seek it out though.

WOULD EAT HERE AGAIN! Let's start with clean atmosphere simple small dining in area. All food is served fresh! My favorite was the chicken curry katsudon. But we also had the octopus balls, spicy chicken ramen and I had the genki ramen that was spicy but it was so good. We also had the gyoza. The service was so friendly and fast she was personable too. Food is tasty as expected generous portions. Idk why I only left 4 stars before.

This restaurant is very accessible and clean. I find the decor and siding in the bathrooms, beautifully clean. The times I have been here I have been greeted and sat promptly. The food has also come out quickly.I have shared the ramen bowls and ordered appetizers. This has been a great opportunity to experience multiple dishes. I recommend ordering the salted edamame over the garlic, spicy edamame, because with the ramen, and in this case, pancake appetizer, there ended up being too many bold flavors, and several options with sticky sauce on top. This would've provided more balance to the meal and I think I would've enjoyed it more. The ramen was very flavorful and well-balanced. It had a very strong beef bones flavor that I wasn't quite prepared for, but it was not lacking. The balance between broth, noodles, vegetables, and protein was excellent. I did prefer another pork bowl over this one simply because the flavor was more for my palette. The pancake, which I was thrilled we ordered because I enjoyed it so much more than I would've ever thought, was something the waitress recommended, who was absolutely lovely by the way. I would to order this again, however, I did prefer it with some of the sauce removed. Can recommend!

This is by far the best ramen place I've been to my entire life. I've been to a lot of ramen places but nothing compares to Genki Ramen Izakaya. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. I got my food. It smelled really good. I took a bite and it did not taste great but AMAZING! It was very warm and flavorful and made me feel like home. I would 100% bring my friends and family here next time.
