Gano Tavern

Thought I should write a review since I've been here a few times over the past couple of months and no one has written a review on this place in a while. I've had the pizza, grilled chicken salad and a few different sides. The pizza is always a solid choice but it only comes in one size so either bring a group or expect some leftovers. Having said that, I've finished this pizza with only one other person but....I love pizza. The grilled chicken salad is REALY good. I'm not certain what the chicken is flavored with but my tastebuds love it. The meat is always seasoned well and it's never over cooked. Salad comes complete with lots of fixins which is better than lost places. The bartenders and servers are all nice and really personable. The outside area is spacious and so is the inside seating. I typically sit at the bar most places but I've sat in each area here and always get great service. Check this place out, it's a bit hole in the wall and but not but they've not disappointed yet.

I passed by the Gano Tavern multiple times on my way to work. It is in a very odd location, but probably helpful for the surrounding businesses. I found it had: Great service. Nice patio. Live music. Fair price for beer. Decent wings. Overall a good experience, but one my visit the menu was limited to just pizza and wings. Watch out if that is not what you are looking for.

Well here is an update. Stopped in for Saturday for lunch and to watch the UC vs Indiana game after shopping. Happy to report that the wings are back to giant size. Chef Charles did a wonderful job. This is a great little local treasure.

After hearing my Friendly Stop friends talking about Gano Tavern a lot, I had the chance to try it today on my way back from West Chester. Amazing flame-grilled burger, cooked just as I ordered it. The onion rings weren't great, but were definitely good. Service was excellent. The iced tea had a slight raspberry taste, which was nice.The one negative is that an 8-ounce burger is mighty big. I think a smaller option would be well received.

Thought we would try this place based off of reviews. Great atmosphere and music. Nice cozy welcoming place. We were let down by the food. Expecting a gourmet burger, not a premade patty. Also the cheese used on the appetizer was nacho cheese sauce. I wish I could give it more stars but the food could be a step above. Great evening though. Live music and bartenders and staff were awesome.

A little deceiving from the outside, but a great place to meet friends and have some great American food. Great burgers, wings were just right. Tha staff is friendly and on point.The live music was excellent," Angela with Pete and Kevin" played lots of great oldies.

It's a bar. It's a BAR! It's not a pub, not a grille, not a sports bar (thank you!), not a nightclub. And it's not Applebee's, so don't bring the kiddies.It's a bar with a small menu of bar food... burgers, fries, rings, and the infamous fish log, which is delicious and enormous. So big you can order a half log if you prefer. And a new addition, three soft baked pretzel sticks for 4 bucks ($4.50 if you want to dip them in melted cheese....but trust me, I'm from the home of the original soft baked pretzel-shaped pretzel: skip the cheese and get some spicy brown mustard instead. YUM!)Great friendly laid back atmosphere, full of regulars but welcoming to first timers too. Cheap buckets of Bud or Miller in cans, Bud/Miller lite on tap along with Yuengling. You'll feel like everybody's an old friend, patrons and servers, in no time. The search and download jukebox is here (I guess it's everywhere now) but a dollar a song. :( I hope to get a chance to ask the owner if there's something he can do to revise that.The crowd and vibe is assuredly 35 and beyond. When I was there it seemed like there were a lot of people from the 1970s, like me. (You know, the coolest generation?) So depending on what circles you currently move in, this may or may not be the place for you. But if you like it, I know you will LOVE it.

A nice neighborhood bar and grill. The fish sandwich was pretty typical fare for a place like this. OK but not outstanding. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices are in line with other similar establishments. I may stop back to eat outside in warm weather. Free parking in their lot.

The food and service were outstanding. For a small restaurant, the music was a little too loud.
