The floor is difficult to skate for seasoned skaters even. it's a slick plastic tiling that doesn't connect well leaving areas that will trip someone not watching the floor constantly. And the tiles are grated so falling on them is like falling on a cheese shredder, the skin stands no chance. Also this rink is actually a 3cdc funded project under the disguise of the nostalgic Frisches branding. 3CDC doesn't want you to know they have been trying to eliminate the only indoor downtown rink we do have, they could have put the money into the existing rink, instead of buying new rentals (that aren't even made for the flooring they bought). Save your money and a skin grafting and head to the actual (not pop-up) rink at Cincy Rec. It's $5/entry or free with CRC membership and located at 1710 Race Street with open hours M-F 12-2pm & 5-7pm. Plus your money will go to help programming for the children in OTR instead of padding 3CDCs profits.
