I love Mexican ice cream shops. This shop is located in a small strip mall with an adequate private parking lot. I love the places decor. It has ice cream cones all along the walls and ice cream cone shaped chairs. They have a small dining are where you can enjoy your treat. They have ice cream, banana splits, bionicos, elote, and other delicious treats. My sever did not know much English and I do not know much Spanish, but we made it work. I would suggest understanding what is on the menu before you go though, so you have a better understanding of what the items are and can make a better selection. The ice cream in the coolers are marked very nice and are very easy to understand and read.I ordered a scoop of ice cream in a cup for me and a scoop in a cone for my little. At a total of almost $7, I think the ice cream was a bit on the pricey side. Especially considering what I got.The ice cream was ok, and had a decent flavor to it. My main issue was that it was slightly freezer burned and had ice crystals in it giving it a rough texture.Another issue that I had there, even though not with the business directly, was that a woman had her dog in there and it would not have been as bad if she had gotten her ice cream to go. But she sat and ate it there. I am not 100% certain, but it did not appear to be an ADA issue. It was not a huge deal but my little is hesitant around dogs which made him a little uncomfortable.Any way, this shop was teetering between a 3 and a 4 start review for me, but I felt that it was closer to a 3 than a 4. The ice cream was good, but compared to many of the other similar ice cream shops, it could not meet that standard.I would probably try this place again, if I was in the area, but it would not be my lead off.

Paletas are my new obsession and Frida's is why. Now every time I come this way I have to stop in for mango, coconut, and banana Nutella paletas. Notice that I didn't reference any of the dozens of paletas with chile? Yeah, there's a reason for that. I thought I was a no limit soldier because I like Tajín on my mangos. Turns out I must be your run of the mill gringa because I tried the watermelon with chiles and I could not feel my lips for like 20 minutes after only 3 bites because they were spicy! I'll just stick to the delicious pure fruit options thank you. In Frida's defense, she tried to warn me but I didn't listen. As for the just fruit options, so delicious 10/10! Creamy and chunky with fruit (for the cream ones). Like nothing I've ever had before. The inside looks like a fairytale I've cream shop. I wish I would have taken more pictures. Definitely IG worthy. So if you are ever at the Greenwood Mall and you want something delicious to cool you down I HIGHLY recommend popping around the corner on Madison and grabbing a paleta.

I stopped by here for the first time the other day. You cannot see inside from the parking lot windows are kind of covered which is ashame because inside is really cute decorated. They have seating and u just go up to the counter to order. I got there and there was no one around I was the only person there. I thought someone would come out from the back and help me. Well I stood there for a long time and finally had to say hello as to calling someone to help and nothing. Kept hearing someone doing something in the back. I had to yell out again hello and nothing i almost walked out of there. I was going to say hello again when the lady finally came out to help me. Didn't even apologize for me having to wait. She was pretty serious like if I was interrupting her. I asked for a raspado well she said they didn't have any at the time it was around 3pm oh well then I just went with an Agua Fresca pepino with chia it was really good. There's plenty of parking in front of the store. Might come again to give it another chance, I love supporting hispanic businesses hopefully there's better customer service next time.

A new place in Southport that has Horchata?!? I'm sold! I have been so happy since this place has opened. They have different kinds of horchata and any flavor of ice cream you could want. This is a hidden gem that I can't wait for people to find out about! It's super easy to get to and parking out front.

An absolute treat for the southside! Delicious frescas, homemade paleta (popsicles) and ice cream. With so many flavors to choose from, there is truly something for everyone! The staff was so friendly, the shop was meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. We cannot wait to come back and support small, local business!
