Im so glad I made the drive out to New Carlise to try this place. It exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite I had. I could drink the pasta sauce that came with the tortellini. The shrimp and corn chowder had an unexpected sweet and spicy taste to it that I really enjoyed. The shrimp was also perfectly cooked within the soup. The oreo mousse cake was unlike any dessert I have had before. The meal was incredible and their rotating menu makes me excited to try them again.

Well I came back lol still without my husband...guess I'll have to force myself to go again ::eye roll:: lol...we did take out this time. Ordered it through messenger on Facebook and provided a pick up time. Order was ready promptly (they will text you when it's done and I was waiting in the parking lot). The sauce for both the lobster ravioli and the stuffed shells were so creamy and flavorful! The pasta was magnificent and tasted homemade!! We were so impressed! The stuffing for both the shells and the ravioli were plentiful. Franco the Foodie has spoiled us again Can't wait to come back with my hubby--I promise to bring him next lol

The food was fantastic, it's more of a take out kind of place, but there is seating.The service is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Definitely family owned and operated.Rotating menu, so you never know what the specials will be. But there is a always a vegetarian option. Drinks are canned sodas/tea or bottled water and there is no alcohol.

Talk about hidden gem. You have to come out and support this new restaurant which is a hidden gem. Wouldnt expect an Italian chef to open a place in New carlisle ohio . Interesting selection.. very friendly. Will be back.

I'll apologize in advance for lack of photos. We were too hungry and anxious to dig in! Met the family for dinner at Franco the Foodie in New Carlisle Friday and it was spectacular, start to finish. I'm only sorry I forgot to order soup and/or salad and that it took us a year to get there.This place is primarily at take out place but they do have a few tables inside where you can comfortably and quietly enjoy everything. The pasta is fresh, succulent and tender. The sauces are perfect. The baguette...the baguette is the perfect blend between crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth texture and are filled with the perfect combination of garlic, butter and herbs. We tried the Italian Stallion spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed cheese rigatoni and lobster and crab stuffed ravioli. It was all delicious. Best of all, Franco checked on us several times, entertaining our grandson and sharing his story with us. What a treat this place is!The menu rotates and is released on Facebook prior to Wednesday's rollout. I will be watching each week and will definitely be back!

I had been hearing about this Italian restaurant from my sister in law who is in fact Italian and is extremely picky about the Italian food she will eat. After she had repeatedly gone back claiming that her meals had been so authentic, I decided to try it. My friend had a pasta dish which she absolutely loved but I decided to be adventurous and ordered their fish. Good fish is hard to get in our area and I was delighted at how delicious my meal was. This is a small family business and the wife and daughter I met couldn't have been more welcoming. I'm so excited to find this little gem and we will all be regulars in the future.

The food was delicious and with adequate portions.Staff very friendly. Price reasonable.The only aspect I did not like was the sparse service and dining atmosphere. It is better to carry out from here. Dining-in guests walk up to the cashier to place an order. We were served water in plastic cups. Dinner was served in a timely manner, but was placed on the table in covered to-go, plastic containers. We asked for plates, and were provided small, salad sized, porcelain plates. So the food was excellent, but I disliked all the use of PLASTIC for dining in.

The owner and his family are very friendly and accommodating. Went with friends and had the lasagna. The portions were so large we took home leftovers that were great warmed up the next day.Note: get there early to get a seat!

We got the fettuccine and carbonara. Sooo good! The canolis are out of this world too. They are affordable and give generous portions. Some of the best Italian I've ever had. I would post a picture, but I ate it too fast.

Great restaurant. Everything Franco serves is delightful. His coming out to visit when we eat there adds to the experience. Highly recommend.
