DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! I decided to live here because the floorplans were decent/spacious and it was the cheapest I could find downtown. Well, that was a mistake. Please take the time to read through my experience and note that this was all only over my SIX MONTH LEASE!!! Within the first month of living there, it became clear that there were mice living in my kitchen. There were drippings in all of the drawers, all of the cabinets, and also in the space under the oven. Unfortunately for me, this also meant that there were drippings in all of my pots/pans/utensils, etc. I felt like I couldn't cook or eat at home because everything was contaminated. I let them know via email, and they sent the maintenance man to clean up the drippings. He said he would set traps where he thought they may be. Well, weeks, if not months, went by and I still had mice. Even worse, I realized they were not just confined to my kitchen, but were also in my living room and bedroom. I found a dead mouse in my dog's water bowl. There were drippings all over my living room carpet and on my living room window sills. One night, I spotted one scurrying along my bedroom floor. At this point, since the apartment wasn't doing anything, I took things into my own hands. I bought traps (both live and kill- and you need to understand that I'm an animal lover lol so that was hard). I caught multiple mice every night. At this point I INSISTED that the apartment seal up my cabinets where they were coming in from. They FINALLY did so because I was threatening to move out/cause a scene. I paid for traps myself and also spent countless hours scrubbing the apartment myself. My entire apartment smelled like pee and I paid to have my carpet cleaned MYSELF.Fast forward a few months. I get a note under my door saying that my dog needs to be evicted because they have no record of him on file. Well, that was BS because he is a service animal and I had to send in lots of paperwork to prove this. I also needed to bring him into the office for the staff to meet him before I could even move. So needless to say, they knew I had him. I forwarded them the emails I initially sent them with all of his paperwork and there response was pretty much, "Oh, we had your paperwork in the wrong spot, oops" but then they continued to say that someone had complained about him barking and subtly implied they still wanted us gone. (I didn't mind because my lease was almost over and I had no intention of staying after everything anyway.)The final straw was today, more than a month after I moved out. I received a letter from 4th and Plum. I expected it to be my security deposit. Instead, it was a letter telling me that I owe THEM money because they replaced my carpet after my departure. ARE YOU SERIOUS? lol. I mean come on! YOU were the ones who didn't do anything about the mice and let them continue to invade my space and urinate/defecate all over the floor and cabinets. NO WAY AM I PAYING FOR THAT CARPET REPLACEMENT. Absolutely not.2 other minor complaints- I didn't have parking for the first few months until I got off the waiting list, and I had to keep feeding the meter. It sucked. Also, my neighbor smoked weed nonstop and it always flowed in through my vents (I personally didn't care about that in itself, but in conjunction with all the other issues, it got annoying). So, like I said, do not live here. This place is a nightmare.

I have been living at "The Plum" (my moniker only) since November. The prices for a loft and parking in downtown is quite reasonable, especially when you consider the space that you get for the price. There hasn't been any problems with hearing other people's business, as the walls are quite thick (the building used to be an old parking garage). And the leasing agents have been very helpful so far. Finally, the maintenance is top rate. The few things I've had to file maintenance requests for so far (most minor; one major) have been handled in an efficient and professional manner. You can't ask for much more than that.If you are in the market for some fine downtown living, this is the place for you.

A great place to start off at living downtown, close enough to everything but far enough to be quiet

Great Space for an even greater price...Right in the center of Cincinnati. The parking fee is the cheapest I have heard about since moving up from Alabama. Friendly staff and a great location

This is one of the best managed and safe apartment complexes I have live at in a long time. All the front office staff were always courteous and professional.Any issues I may have had (which were very few) they helped to address and correct if not the same day, then the next day including weekends. The maintenance crew who I got to know over time were always on point and busy.My apartment itself was kept up very well. If I were to ever return to Cincinnati I would easily move back into this complex.A huge thank you to the front office and Megan for aways making me feel welcomed.

The only good thing about this place is its location. About a 10-15 min walk to fountain square. The area is really quiet with nothing going on, which might be a positive or negative depending on what your preference is.Everything else leaves much to be desired, especially if you are considering a short term rental (e.g. for a summer internship at P&G), I would recommend staying away. The worst part is the behavior of management -- I found them to be rude and felt that the business model was geared towards taking advantage of short term lessors. I have lived in rentals before and never have come across such blatantly impolite behavior from the rental employees/ management. Treat your tenants with more respect! The buildings are also really old, dark, and dank. There are better places to live in downtown, and I would recommend staying away.I have communicated with P&G about this place and recommended they warn incoming employees from staying away.
