This park is awesome! They just reopened with new equipment and our kids absolutely loved it. The climbing areas, slides, and rope swing were the favorites.

I've driven past this so many times, that I finally convinced the hubby to stop. Of course, it was the evening before 4th of July, people were marking their spots for the morning's parade, so it leant an air of Zombie Apocylapse to the area, but I digress...The Fort Thomas Tower Park area is gorgeous. It's got great big green lawns, A huge play ground for kids of all ages to play on, including some contraptions that you'd probably see on those Ninja Warrior shows. Trust me Playgrounds aren't like they were when I was a kid. This was fantastic. And several different groupings for different ages. There are hiking and bike paths for everyone to enjoy, and a park shelter too. This evening it looked like they were setting up that area for the next day's activity. I can tell you that I love this small town... even when it looks Zombie'd out.

The park has nice trail, and you can decide whether you want to make it easy or difficult. The small stream beside the hiking trail is mostly dry at this time, so you actually can walk down to the bank of this little stream and sit on their many rocks. There are several people are playing with their remote control vehicle and make the toy car to climb the rock or hill or go down the hill, it is quite interesting to watch. When we get out of the hiking trail, there happen to be a show going on, so it is quite interesting to watch. Overall, i had a good visit there.

A solid community park. It is spread out across form various veteran's services. Unlike many other parks in the area, this park has a multitude of tennis courts. Even on weekday evenings these courts can be hugely popular. There are a mix of paved and nature trails. Nature trails are relatively well maintained. Paved trails are the sidewalks around and through the park. There are several geocaches in the area. Covered shelters are available. There is a sign up about them having to be reserved Spring - Summer. Summer is a great time to catch free shows/concerts at the amphitheater. The Northern Kentucky Orchestra is know to preform as part of a free summer series. Make sure to bring your own chairs/blankets. A couple of playgrounds are on the grounds. One is located off /near the tennis area. Another playground is closer to the tower. Both are in good working order. There are bathrooms located next to the playground across from the tower.

This park is often full of families enjoying the playground or one of the many free concerts in the amphitheater. The park is clean and parking is ample. I have most experience running and walking the trails. I have yet to fully explore all the trails but have enjoyed the many hills and twists through the tall trees. The three covered picnic areas are fine for lunch or dinner eating. You can reserve them for a full day from $25-75 depending on the day. I think they have grills but don't quote me on that.I have not played on the tennis courts (6 of them) but have seen plenty of people using them.A sand volleyball court is available too. There are two basketball courts. The tower was built on the military reservation of Fort Thomas in 1890 and stands 102 feet tall. I am almost positive that there is no way to legally get to the top unless you are really connected. The abandoned houses that Cindy mentions are a bit of an eyesore and a prime example of the slowness of the government. You see, they are on the National Historic Register and cannot be torn down even though they are in need of serious repair and could be sold for major $$$. The houses were formerly for the Army and have all kinds of government red tape attached. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2014/08/29/fort-thomas-military-houses-developer/14824891/

Located at the site of the Fort Thomas Stone Water Tower, this area encompasses over 85 acres of land and has a huge playground area, ball fields, sheltered picnic areas, tennis courts, an amphitheater, restrooms and more. The park area is nicely landscaped and contains walking and biking trails. There are also basketball and sand volleyball courts. To use one of the shelters, you must make reservations through the Ft. Thomas recreation department.

This is a wonderful park right in the heart of the city of Ft. Thomas. The playground is fantastic with newer equipment, soft mulch to cushion falls and lots of different sized slides for kids of all ages. Our kids have a blast here. The shelter is also newer and in great shape. As much as we like the playground area, we may enjoy the hiking trails around the park even more. The Ft. Thomas Tree Trail in the back of the park is fantastic. If you have young kids, it's a perfect distance to hike, wear them out, but still give them a great feeling of accomplishment.

Fort Thomas Tower Park has a lot to offer. A large playground for the kids. Plenty of picnic tables. Sofball fields and large open fields to play football. Wooded trails with beautiful views. Lots of wild deer. A cute little museum and more. The mess hall can be rented for events and is pretty large.I usually come here for the concerts. The ampitheater is put to use every summer. Fort Thoms puts on what they call "mini concert series" and holds concerts almost on a weekly basis. This basically leads up the main event at the end of the season. Which is the Merchants and Music Festival. And it's a pretty big deal. They take over the entire park for this and it's a great time. Tower Park is a great community park and the locals love it!

I discovered this great little park today over in Ft. Thomas. Unlike the other reviewers I haven't done the mountain biking but it sounds awesome. The great things this park has going for it? - Super super clean! - Great picnic area and shelter - HUGE playground with a ton of different things for kids to play on- A great little softball field in the back- Trails The negatives, well there's really only one. For some reason when I walked back to the back by the softball fields there was a huge government seized circle of properties that were taped off with caution tape and were scary as heck. They all looked abandoned, not sure what's going on with that, but overall it's a nice park!

Tower Park's namesake is the 102 foot tall Stone Water Tower, an 19th century remnant of the U.S. Army's barracks in Ft. Thomas. Today, the tower serves as an emblem of the city's rich military history. Tower Park is a popular spot for family picnics and church outings because of the numerous outdoor activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The park contains six lighted tennis courts, four sand volleyball courts, four shuffleboard courts, two basketball courts, and four horseshoe pits. The shelters are often reserved on the weekends, so plan ahead and make your reservation for the park board.
