My wife and I dropped in on a Sunday night recently and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. There were multiple rooms to eat at but we choose the bar as service is often better there in most restaurants. We split two appetizers the OTR Wellington were like mini Beef Wellingtons except done with locally sourced sausage. An excellent dish with a flaky puff pastry, delicious. The Fried Green Tomatoes had a beautiful jam which mixed well with the savory fried tomatoes. We split the Wedge salad, which the restaurant was kind enough to split for us, I never would have thought a ranch dressing would work with blue cheese but it worked out well. This was an ample serving more than enough for two.The ambience was beautiful with contemporary bar which worked with the space.

My dinner date with the Mr. at Five on Vine was surprisingly quite good! The ambiance and decor was dark, woodsy and romantic. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful and I'd love to be seated on the opposite side the next time we dine there. For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes which were crispy but I found the topped bacon a bit too thick/tough. Less radicchio would've worked as the accompanying sauce was a bit lost and quite unmemorable. The cornbread, as expected from other reviews, was phenomenal. It's quite large and could easily be shared among 3-4 ppl.For the mains, we shared the truffle fettuccine (with a side of grilled garlic shrimp), Amish chicken, and cheddar mac & cheese. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. Husbae enjoyed his shrimp but does wish the tails were removed before plating. Although tasty and creamy, I would skip the mac/cheese next time as the fettuccine more than enough. But, the clear winner of the evening, was the Amish chicken. I have never had such flavorful chicken in my life. It had a smokiness to it that elevated the dish and the side of kale panzanella with croutons soaked up the broth from the chicken beautifully. We ordered the carrot cake to go and enjoyed it at home. It was moist and flavorful albeit a tad too much cream cheese frosting. Overall, we had a lovely evening at Five on Vine and will certainly dine here again.

Absolutely amazing dishes. I have been several times now and the food and service are always a 10/10. Another perk is the most comfortable dining chairs! I ordered the espresso martini to drink and it was hands down the best I have had.

We dined here to celebrate Valentine's Day, and this place blew all expectations out of the water. Service, ambiance, and food were exceptional. I usually take pictures of our food to include in my reviews, but there was no shot -- the food was gone in a blink. Cocktails were unique, refreshing, and delicious (When Pigs Fly, Moneypenny). We shared three mains -- cioppino, truffle fettuccine, and filet mignon. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor, and came out piping hot. Finished the meal with the hummingbird cake, which was a huge portion -- not too sweet and went perfect with tea. We will absolutely be back, excited to try the rest of the menu.

Of course we had to come back again and I am already dreaming of our next visit. No two dishes are the same but the oysters are our favorite and we will always get them.

Stopped in for an early dinner at Five on Vine in Cincinnati, Ohio, and had a great experience. I tried the cold smoked shrimp cocktail, which offered a fantastic twist on a classic dish. Additionally, the peach salad was fantastic - fresh, and flavorful. For an entree, I got the shrimp stuffed with crab. It consisted of the shrimp wrapped around a crab ball swimming in an oil based sauce. Delicious. The ambiance of sitting on the patio was relaxing. I love a good patio with a cocktail and unique food.

Fantastic meal and service at Five on Vine. Started with the OTR Wellington and they were unbelievable. You got 5 or 6 large bites of it so you definitely got your moneys worth. The chicken pot pie was only available as a special and it was a nice modern twist on a classic. But in my opinion, the vodka rigatoni stole the show. Make sure you add the meatballs though, as they were incredible!

Our server was fantastic and had great recommendations! She was very attentive to our table and made sure our waters stayed full. The place has an indoor and outdoor seating areas. We sat inside near a window so still had a nice view outside. Started off with a dozen oysters that were shucked to perfection! Came with the fixings to flavor them to your liking. Next the cornbread! This is a flavorful, melt in your mouth style of bread that comes with honey butter. Absolutely delicious and highly recommend trying!

Spent 24hours in Cincinnati for date night and decided to try the Five on Vine. The star of the show was the caesar salad. I wish I had a photo to share but I devoured it before even realizing I forgot to take a photo. The dressing was perfectly salty and had a rich umami flavor, the spin on traditional croutons with salt and vinegar chips instead were crispy and a nice touch. We also had the artichoke appetizer and coconut shrimp (which I also don't have photos of ) the artichoke has this amazing lemony remoulade atop but weren't fleshy at all; the lack of heart and fleshy portion made them they quite disappointing. The coconut shrimp were large in size and included more than I was expecting but in my opinion were nothing to write home about. As far as entrees go we ordered the pork chop and the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were buttery and delicious and the pork chop was perfectly cooked. The accompaniment of the braised greens, spiced carrots and apple chutneywith the pork chop balanced the salty with a sweet touch.
