First Wok

Terrible food! I ordered cashew chicken. Not sure what sauce it was in! The dish must have had at least 1/3 of a pound of celery! They could've used some onion or water chestnuts instead! The service was quick and the portions are large but I will not be reheating it. I also will find another Chinese food restaurant.

First Wok is the kind of strip mall Chinese place you expect to find. They're busy filling orders for the rag tag of Americanized Chinese food everyone seems to enjoy.The one redeeming quality about this place is that their portion sizes for dinner are always large. I typically make two meals of one order.I've been here several times and while I'd say they're mediocre, they're consistently so which makes them more reliable than other Chinese take out places in this part of town.If you like your Chinese to be the usual stuff you see like Kung Pao chicken, sweet & sour chicken or general tso's then this place might be worth a look on occasion.

I've only sampled a few dishes here. Most of the time I'm chowing down on their simple buffet for lunch since it is so close to my work. $4.25 for buffet isn't bad. Sure there is China Garden just down the road, which has more variety but they are also more expensive. There is usually 2-3 main dishes in addition to crab rangoon, egg rolls, soup. Nothing here to write home about, but for the money it is hard to find fault. The one dish I do recommend is their tofu family style, which for $5.95 with white rice or $6.45 with fried rice is quite a deal.

I use to always stop over once a week for their lunch special which is a good portion of food and an egg roll for less than 6 bucks. Really good food and deal for your money

The worst Chinese restaurant in Forest Park, we ordered take-out on 12/09/16 for a dinner treat that turn out to be nasty and burnt; we order the roast pork Lo-Main with a large wanton soup and picked it up from the restaurant that evening. When we got home the soup was awesome but the roast pork lo-mien had bit and pieces of black and silver burn ashes in it. We called the restaurant after our findings and ask for the Manager to put in a formal complain and she hung up on us 2xtwice and finally got thru and the young lady told us she was the manager/owner and she was going to talk with the kitchen about the matter but never offered us any sort of apology nor even ask if we wanted a refund or a replacement; she just indicated she would talk with the kitchen - then I ask if I could bring back the entree and she said, "what would I do with your food except throw it out." I found that to be rude and she was very nasty and unpleasant and hung up on my husband. - So, if your reading this review - save your money and avoid this restaurant like the plague unless you don't mind burnt food, nasty service and uneatable take-out :-( - You might want to drive a short distance and go to Lee's in Fairfield and see "Benny..."

Just received my delivery. Food was good, but you couldn't tell that they had stapled container shut. So upon opening it, staple went right into my finger! Use tape or something because that really hurt!

Kind family owned restaurant the food was fresh, quick to serve, and the place was clean. It's like any other fast Chinese food joint so I got exactly what I wanted for a good price after the long wait at the bmw

Not good for dine-in. Tables were cramped, no ambiance to speak of. No table service. Food was only so-so; below average for Chinese fare. Good portion size for the price, but too many other negatives. Would not go back.

I always oder from them once a week, love their shrimp lo mein with white rice. Try this dish large proportion, food is always hot for pick up.

This is the absolute worst place to eat. First I would like to say they are way over priced. For 3 people it was $28 but if you drive down a little farther a total for 3 people is $17. They are under a new ownership and it is horrible. I ordered the general Tso's chicken and there was a piece of black hair cooked into the chicken. And when my mom went back to get our refund there was a bug crawling on the counter. The guy working at the counter when my mom called he never told me mom to bring the food back only the receipt with her when she got the refund, so when she went in to get that said " you need to bring the food" who saves chicken with hair in it so my mom threw it away!! NEVER GO THERE!! We are calling the board of health
