Gobbled up 2 of their sugar cookies. As someone who is not a sugar cookie fan this is a BIG compliment. The softness, yet wholeness of the cookie (doesn't break) with the firm creaminess of the icing is a wonderful combination in flavour and texture. It's also not very sweet, which is lovely!

This may sound odd... but I found this bakery because of Christ Hospital! My mom has been a transplant patient for close to three years so we've been at Christ 4 times per month (more once she got the transplant plant this year). We saw these delicious looking star burst cookies on the counter. We gave them a try and have been hooked ever since! The base is like the softest sugar cookie- with a short bread taste. The burst on top is butter cream with sugar for crunch. We love them and now have been ordering from their cute shop in reading. They are so kind with great service & and we will continue to get these amazing cookies for every occasion!!

Do you love cookies? Well, ok. Duh. We all love cookies. This locally owned, all female-powered shop is definitely worth a visit. Aside from making amazingly delicious, 2-bite cookies in the most tantalizing colors and flavors, they're also going to greet each guest like a dear friend. Check out their website if you need a custom order of colors. I'm not that organized, so the grab and go bags are perfect for me. These ladies are great community members and have been supportive of nonprofits and extra special fundraisers. Thank you! I love taking a cheerful little bag as a thoughtful gift or a thank you. They're always appreciated. And, they're nice and small, so you don't feel so gluttonous! Pro tip: they're small, family owned. Check their hours before going to make sure you don't leave empty-handed.

I have not had the pleasure of visiting Firecracker Bakery in person, but purchased the mini burst cookies a few times at the Vintage and Made Market. They are little bite sized butter bombs with a large dollop of not too sweet frosting topped with sugar crystals. The cookie and the frosting just melt in your mouth for a not overly sweet but delightful little treat.

My mom bought a package of their burst cookies for me at Joseph Beth Booksellers (where the cashier said they couldn't keep them in stock.) I have been searching for these cookies for years!!! They are just like the tea cookies from Grote Bakery I ate as a child. They are utterly delicious and the bag was all mine. There is a ton of icing, which I love, and a sprinkle of sugar on top for a satisfying crunch. And the cookies are super soft. I cannot wait to visit the bakery itself.

I stopped in while in the area. So glad I did. It's a small little shop, mostly a working bakery. One of the ladies welcomed me and showed me to the grab and go area where they had 5 different variety options. I got 4 different bags for $20. My family loved trying the different flavors. The size of their burst cookies is perfect! The cookies are cute and yummy! I'll be back!!

I was first introduced to the cookies that Firecracker Bakery makes at a friend's house. They were so yummy! I'm not a huge fan of icing, as it can easily seem too sweet, but this icing I really liked. The flavor was very fresh, so I went to visit the bakery today. Lynn, the owner, is young, vibrant and very personable. It turns out the bakery got it's name because Lynn was born on the 4th of July! She makes cookie cakes, cupcakes and cookies. It was there that I had one of the best Carrot Cake Cupcakes I've every eaten! Of course, she grates the carrots herself and makes sure everything that she makes is to her high standards. She also offers an option called Pizza and Pastries. It could be for a birthday party for younger kids, a teen party, or team building - really, it could be for any age. The first phase for the group is that on site there will be a pizza station where you are supplied with a pizza crust, sausage, cheese, and sauce so each person can create the pizza to their individual liking. While the pizzas are baking, the younger ones can decorate a to go container in case they have leftovers. Lynn also can talk to them about being a business owner and seeing if any of them have thought about that as an option. I was my daughter's girl scout leader and it seems like a perfect activity for them, too. The second phase is cookie decorating. Starting with a chocolate chip cookie cake, Lynn can show them how to use cookie cutters to make individual pieces and then how to decorate them with different colors of frosting. Who wouldn't want to do that? You won't be disappointed with any of their offerings.
