I attended an event at Fifty West Production Works. More specifically, their Brew & Que event. Great Lakes Brewing and Fifty West collaborate on a beer every year. The partnership is celebrated with a barbecue. The food itself, for this event, must be made by the Fifty West Brewing Company restaurant/ chef. It is on par with the food I have eaten there. The food was plentiful, and we ate way too much. Many of the side dishes were on the spicy side. Macaroni and cheese was creamy. The Slopy Nancy was a surprise. It was one of the vegetarian options. A mix of quinoa, chickpeas, carrots, and other vegetables, it was filling, a little spicy, a little sweet, and went well with the brisket. I wish I knew the recipe. It would be great as a Thanksgiving side dish. The brisket was tender. The desserts ( brownies and bread pudding,) were decadent. All items were made with quality ingredients. Based on what we ate, I would look forward to going to this event again. Maybe I should have started with the beer, as this was brew and Que. A wide variety of brews were available. Some where on the traditional side. Others used less common ingredients like sweet potatoes, and Buddha's Hand. It was an interesting mix. I really enjoy seeing creative beers at events like this. The sweet potato went great with the barbecue. It became very bitter when consumed with the desserts. The people who work the event were awesome. They all remained upbeat and positive the entire event. They interacted with the attendees when they could. Towards the end of the event, they were definitely able to do this more. They seemed to be enjoying the event as well. Production Works is a great space for such an event. While it was crowded, it did not feel overly so. In terms of crowdedness, it felt like going to any Brewery on a Saturday night. I think they capped the event at a good number. There was enough room for people to move around, and enjoy themselves. People were welcome to walk around the grounds. A couple of fire pits were set up outside. Later in the evening, they were particularly enjoyable. There's something about sitting outside with a wood-burning fire.

I've a confession: I've never made it into Fifty West's actual brewery. I know, I know. I love beer. Craft beers specifically. I am an Eastsider. I can't really make an excuse for why I haven't hit the brewery itself...other than I really, really love their Production Works. The production building and the main brewery sit right across the street from each other. The production works has a slightly smaller list of draft selection, but you get the added bonus of the great outdoors with the open floor plan. I've stopped by here a few times after work with my dad to enjoy the weather and watch the volleyball games that are going on.Their food menu is limited but looks delicious. I'm definitely thinking about coming up for lunch sometime soon. I also think it'd be the perfect place to catch a beer and quick meal pre or post ka-brewing.Eventually I'll make my way across the street over to the actual brewery. I'll probably do it when it's cold. There's no reason not to come over and enjoy a pint and watch the games going on. Or pet the dogs. (They're allowed here.) Yay puppies!

This is a fun spot that offers a variety of entertainment, beers, food, and seating. We came here on a night when volleyball was going on, as well as a special fun run put on by Lululemon. In addition they even had trivia night taking place, and a special happy hour for the "Adventure crew" upstairs. Despite all this busyness there was still plenty of seating and service at the bar was prompt. I had the watermelon quencher beer which was awesome. It was refreshing without an overpowering watermelon flavor. There is some limited food options from the new "Roadside grill", however we did not eat. I believe outside is still dog friendly.

We went here after a friends birthday run, and planned on having some beers and burgers. I ordered the Zinzinnati and my husband ordered the West Virginia. Both were tolerable (we weren't going to send them back), but not good. My zinzinnati tasted really bad - maybe it was the fermented mustard or the sauerkraut that I just didn't like the taste of, but there was hardly any meat...I couldn't tell there was a beef patty on it. I had to ask if there was a burger or if it was just the goetta. The redeeming part of the burger was the pretzel bun. My husband had the same critique - hardly any burger patty on his, and he got a double! We aren't stingy people - I work in The restaurant so I'm quick to give grace because of COVID or new chefs or whatever. But this didn't seem like an overcook or something. The Zinzinnati burger is simply not good flavors together. The fries were pretty good and the fry sauce was okay, too. The two stars are for the pretzel bun and the root beer.

50 West Production Works is a regular stop for us. We load the dogs in the car, park at Little Miami Golf Center and take the short walk to Fifty West Production Works. Dogs are welcome, there's always a good selection of beer -- I'm a fan of the Coffee Please Nitro Stout and Paycheck's Porter -- and the outdoor grill turns out GREAT burgers, sandwiches (the jerk chicken is fantastic), wings and salads to enjoy outside in the sun or at the tables inside. With sand volleyball and the cycling and canoeing events 50 West hosts, it can get busy but it's a fun, buzzy atmosphere.

This is a great place to hang if you want to grab a drink with some friends or even just watch the game. It is on my favorite places to go in the summer, as they have several volleyball courts right outside of the building. Rumor has it that they even have their own entrance to the Little Miami River. They do you have food here at 50 W., but if you are in the mood for some pizza, there is a local pizza shop right next-door. You can also go across the street for some fine dining. This is located right off the bike trail, toward the beginning of the bike trail in Newtown/ Mariemont. It makes a great summer hang out, but it's even an awesome place to go when the temperatures are cool! You can bring your dog inside, as well as watch them brew their own beer. Parking may be a little tough, but you can park in either lot to the right or left of the building. There is a small parking lot around back, but the parking lots next to the building might be the better option.

Honestly, I was really hoping to like this place, seeing that the company seems very involved in the outdoor scene, but I was extremely disappointed in the service, the drinks, and the food. The only redeeming quality of this place is that it is a great venue, and it's nice that they have a small little boardwalk that goes out to their 6 volleyball courts--4 of which were closed on the day we went. I'm not sure if I've just been to too many breweries lately, or if the Cincy microbrewery market is just getting overpopulated, but the beer here was extremely average. Compared to many other breweries I've been to, the bartenders were also not very interested in the drinks or the beer and there just didn't seem to be that passion I usually see in microbreweries. On top of all of this, we were sitting behind the owners while sitting outside at the patio and we heard them complaining about customers--and not the typical complaints. One customer asked if they would be open on a specific date and once the customer walked away, the owner/manager said "pshh how would I know??"As for the food, I ordered the nachos. These were very average quality--in fact, I'm pretty sure they just bought the salsa and guac from Costco. The chips had some seasoning sprinkled on top which was good, but the chips were extremely stale.Overall, I like what 50 West is going for, but I really think they opened up just because the brewery scene was is a hot market. There's not passion for beer, passion for people, or passion for food.

This is not our first time at Fifty West Production Works. We attended last year after we had a couple of brews from their first location and decided to drive across the street and try it out. It was great then and a year later we are back. We called beforehand and asked if they are dog friendly. They are!! So excited that our Frenchie can join us. When we arrived, we noticed a small change to the place. They had a stairway for additional seating up top, a large volleyball section and a small grill for small bites if you're hungry. Love the set up and the cozy feel to this place. It's so laid back and plenty of seating! Great selection of beers as well. My go to beers for the summer is the Doom Pedal Witbier. I also tried Vicino Red Ale for the very first time. Love the hints of caramel and very refreshing! My Mr. had the West Sixth G.A.B.R. IPA and the Staycation Sour Gose which I had a taste from his and loved them! What a great experience and will definitely be back again. I think Fifty West Brewing is underrated. I don't find a lot of their beers in restaurants. Most are Mad Tree or Rhinegeist which both are good but I would like to see more of Fifty West.

The number of breweries in the greater Cincinnati area keeps growing all the time, that's definitely true. But there's one number you should keep in mind when it come to great local craft beer. 50, as in 50 West, located in beautiful Mariemont. I've been a big fan of their product for quite a few years, even before their massive expansion in taking over the former Hahana Beach. They really put some impressive work into the place, turning it from an "okay" beach-themed bar and grill into a great, laid back, brew destination for drinkers of all kinds. The building itself is very open, housing much of the brewery's brewing and production/canning, so you can see where all the magic happens. Cozy up to the bar and have yourself a pint or even a flight of epic goodness. Outside, you'll plenty of seating and a number of sand volleyball courts. 50 West is all about active lifestyles and all-around fun. Along with making great beer, 50 West offers bicycle and canoe/kayak rentals, so it's a destination you could practically make a whole day our of. Hungry? Why not try some goodies from Roadside Grill? Serving up light snacks, wings, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and gyros, you're sure to find something tasty.Sure, the sheer number of breweries around is quite astounding, but definitely keep THIS number in mind for more than just great beer. And bring your four-legged best friends along because 50 West Production Works is also dog-friendly. Bring the whole family and enjoy!

Came here during COVID. Was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Beer is decent, ambiance is super casual. There wasn't much in terms of mask enforcement. We ordered food, it was affordable and tasty but the order pick up process is tedious and unorganized (we didn't get texted until 78 minutes after placing order that food was ready, and we had to just go to the pick up prematurely to keep checking in in case it was ready). Not a fan of this being an open spot to bring kids, but I'm sure post covid all be fine and well. Food is cheap and so is the beer so I'm sure this place will stay open and busy for the locals that like to frequent it.
