The food is like you went home and mom cooked dinner...delicious. I've never had a bad meal there. The people that work there are as sweet as can be and know all about the food and Specials.Always clean.

I gave this place a five star rating because of the mom and Pop small town feel it has when you walk in. They really embody that southern western charm. Super nice people. Everybody gets graded services, impeccable and each one of the wait staff can have a full on conversation with you, instead of just being passive, the food was pretty good. I had a turkey sandwich and a soup even with a 15 person table on the back they were able to accommodate the other few guess prices were not bad at all.

Good lil family-owned breakfast/lunch/dinner spot... Kind of has the "hole in the wall" vibe, but the service was great and the food was good. They give you a ton of food, especially for the price, so go hungry - $10 for breakfast and I wasn't hungry again until dinner time. No customer price gouging going on here.If you want a good meal at a fair/reasonable price, check out FFD&R.

Simple, no frills service with good food. Went during the evening midweek and enjoyed quick service in a quiet dining room where it was nice to be able to hear the conversation at our table without difficulty. It's seat yourself and we enjoyed being able to eat right next to the TV to watch the evening news just like at home. Everything came to the table exactly as ordered and the portions were large and delicious. They serve breakfast all day and they have daily specials. We will definitely be back!

We spent a couple of days in Dayton exploring the area. Our first morning found us very hungry and came upon this adorable diner on the web. The service was prompt and the food was delicious!!We came back for lunch and the French Dip was amazing!!!

I was a bit skeptical pulling in, but I'm glad I stopped in. The food was good and so was the customer service. I had the Fiarborn burger and fries with a slice of cake. I would stop in again if in the area.

Will never eat at the Fairborn family diner again! We have never had a problem before but tonight left the worst taste in my mouth! I mean the food isn't even the greatest to begin with. We will just start there. I ordered the shrimp basket. The waitress says to me "with fries or onion rings" which confused me because the menu clearly states WITH onion rings. "the onion rings are fine" I said.We eat get the bill and I notice she charged me extra for the onion rings?! So we walk up to the register and speak with the check out lady who I'm 100% sure is the owner and I tell her that I noticed I was charged extra for the onion rings to which she responds with "Yes the onion rings are a GARNISH if you asked for extra you get charged"Now I want y'all to look at this menu and tell me WHERE it states the onion rings are a garnish I'll wait.."I did not ask for extra. I told her I'll take the onion rings" this lady snatches the receipt out of my hand looks up the waitress and proceeds to scream for her and question whether I asked for extra or not because evidently in her eyes, I'm a liar. She comes back and says "she asked you if you wanted fries or onion rings and you asked for onion rings and got extra but I'll take it off" I pay, leave a tip, and we walk out to the vestibule. They have toy vending machines there and of course my daughter ask to use them. As she's getting gum balls I overhear the owner and the waitress talking MAJOR shit about me and how "people are just miserable" I'm miserable for questioning why you overcharged me?!What's MISERABLE is your terrible customer service! Whats MISERABLE is only 3 out of the 5 unit vending rack is working AND stole my daughter's quarter! What's MISERABLE is the paint peeling off the side of your building! What's MISERABLE is the stained ceiling tiles! What's MISERABLE is the mangled vertical blinds! What's MISERABLE is your wobbly tables, sticky floors and dirty seats. I wanna be clear that I would have had no problem paying the 1.25 if it actually made sense but for it to NOT be clear on the menu and extremely misleading of the waitress it's all principle at this point.

Nice waitress but very unfriendly mgr cashed is out. Didnt even bother to ask how our meal was because he knew we were dissatisfied. Greasy fish sandwich and fries. Obviously needs grease changed in fryer. Watery and mushy Cole slaw. Baked potato and club sandwich ok. Dirty floor and bathroom. Very run down inside and needs a thorough clean. On top of it all they allowed some guy to come in and try to sell candy for a questionable kids organization. Not good. Will never eat thetr again. Please call Chef Robert from Restaurant Impossible for help! Sorry.
