My husband and I took a little road trip from Indy today. We planned to go to Wick's in Winchester for a slice of their famous pie, but my husband found Everett's Place on Facebook, so we decided to stop in for lunch. From the moment we stepped inside, we were treated so warmly. We ordered their two lunch specials, meatloaf (yum) and hamloaf (double yum--trust me!). They were each served with the most sinfully delicious cheesy potatoes, corn, a homemade roll and a drink for $8.95! Quite a bargain for an awesome plate of food. The building it's in is a meticulously restored department store that's attached to an old (still operational) movie theater. It just added to the already charming ambiance. We will definitely be back! It was worth the 1.5 hr drive from Indy!

My mom suggested this place after an appointment with our doctor. It didn't look like much, and she isn't known for her dining suggestions, but it was all excellent! I had the Ham-o-Rama and tater tots and both were excellent. My sister had broccoli cheddar soup and raved about it. She liked it so much she didn't even offer us a taste. The macaroni and cheese that my mom had was fantastic! All three of us agreed, which is a minor miracle on its own.

Short and to the point, Everett's is wonderful, go and enjoy!! Tables are decorated as the holidays change. There's a balcony you can climb up to, if you would like to eat up there! The food is homemade and wonderful, with many extras to choose from! The family atmosphere can't be beat, as well as the family who cooks, serves, and waits on you! Just go, you'll not be disappointed!

Really beautiful building... I love the stamped tin ceiling. I bet it was a hotel once upon a time.I stopped in for lunch and had a quiche lorrraine. it was very tasty. The crust was flaky and buttery. Health food it aint. The muffin that came with it was really nice, too. I'd like to come back and try and sandwich and their pies... This is a great place for a light lunch if you're in downtown Winchester.

Since being sold in November, my coworkers and I have been in a handful of times. The last several times, it has taken almost an hr to get our food. We're talking a salad and the hot special, which is already made..just plate and serve. The restaurant was nowhere near busy either. Today, we went, and waited an hr for our food. There were a few tables with about 6 people at each ahead of us. I then requested our food to go bc we had to get back to the office. The owner handed us our food, and it was missing items. Our order was the hot special ( grilled cheese, cup of soup, side salad, drink, and a piece of quick bread.) And a chef salad w French, no cheese.) She then put the items in the bag, and I thought we were good. Get back to work..nope missing a side salad. My salad was missing some stuff and had the wrong dressing. We call them up. I drive back..they add the missing topping and give me dressing and I get the side salad for my coworker. The owner gives us a $10 gift card and apologizes. All is well. I come back and start eating when I notice my salad has cheese under the top layer. I didn't notice it bc they dumped it from a bowl to the takeout box. She even repeated the no cheese part when I came back in!Hope I don't get sick, since I have a complete dairy intolerance. It'll be a while before we go back. If they can get back to serving sandwiches and salads in a reasonable time frame, then we'll go back bc they have some tasty items, but I don't want to waste my entire lunch break staring around the restaurant and then having to take my salad back to the office anyway.

Love Everetts! Located on the square of Winchester. Small downtown vibe, great spot for lunch. A little pricey but the quality of food for the $ is still a win. Their pulled pork sandwich is a must try! Pork is hand pulled by the owner herself. Great little bakery items as well.
