"Tacos". There is nothing Mexican about this Mexican restaurant. This place is Taco Bell waitresses and booze. Take a pass.

Had a wonderful family dinner here last night. Five of us, with excellent service by Emma. A first time Chimmichanga was super meaty. The Quesa dip was delicious (if salty) and a big dish.. best if 3 or more folks dining. My Fajita Bowl with chicken one of best I've had for two reasons: the just shy of chargrilled small chicken chunks and the char roasted red bell pepper strips AND the nice oiliness, as sometimes these bowls are kindof dry.

So couldn't wait to get back for some food and drinks with a Bad Juan. We get to the table and have salsa spilled on us. No one came back to help clean us up. We order our drinks and they are not even close as they bring out shots as part of our drinks. We then go one step further and order food. Mine was a chimichanga with ground beef. Purely no flavor and nothing special. My wife is vegetarian and orders a veggie bowl only to be served crusty old rice clumped together and finds chicken in her food. Then the bill comes and they expect us to pay for her food that we sent back and just said no thanks on anything else. The waitress was nice and said she was just starting there , but everything else was not Elsa's. Menu was different etc. I could've went to Taco Bell or Victors Taco Shop and been so much happier , just no Bad Juan. Not going back to this location, and not sure how the other locations are.

Our waitress did what she needed to do to get our order and that was it. I questioned her about the seasoning in our dishes and her answer was that she had no idea and did I want another bad Juan? So .... we probably won't be back, not because of the service , even though it was far from being great, but because of the food. The cheese dip and the meat in our dishes all seemed to be seasoned with what tasted like "old bay " seasoning powder. You could definitely see it in the dip and tasted it through out the other items we had. The food was just not what I remember it being.

This Elsa's has gone way down hill. Dirty and smelly. We couldn't get anybody to acknowledge us let alone seat us. I'll get my Bad Juan fix at the Far Hills location in the future. No bueno!!

Go to the Elsa's on Far Hills for better service, great food, no waiting, more tables and No Masks! The Dayton mayor is imposing ridiculous rules for business. And Elsa's on Linden Ave is complying to the max with rude management. Remember when there were non-smoking sections in restaurants? Like the air doesn't circulate in a restaurant?? Same with CV19. If you are fearful just stay home and order food in. If these dictates seem unreasonable- call your Congressman and your Mayors office. Keep America Free. PushBack

Absolutely terrible! First: waitress seemed upset if you did not order alcohol. Second: staff refused to disclose ingredients even though we asked out of an allergy concern (turns out the concern was validated by an allergic reaction!). Third: only 2/6 entrees were correct. I was the only one to send the meal back and the second attempt was even worse! Save yourself the trouble and go to the chain Mexican place up the street; it will be the same price or cheaper and MUCH better quality.

Elsa's never stops to impress... the food is wonderful. The bad Juans are amazing and we will never stop coming back.We drive 45 miles from Cincinnati to go to Elsa's South just to have dinner, it's that good.
