El Toro Mexican Bar & Grill

For 2,5 stars, I don't see why it was.El Toro looked very fancy compared to the other mexican places we have been. The chips and salsa were better than average, a little spicy and the green salt (it's Halloween, so yeah, it was festive) was good. Service was really good and the ambiance was classic Mexican with a Halloween vibe decorations. If in the beavercreek area, would definitely be back.

Start with the music they played was ok. The food on the other hand was tasteless bland anglicized trash. Orders the Chili Colorado with steak. It was ground beef in tomato sauce. Which they attempted to convince me it wasn't. Returned it and order the refried beans. They were on par with cold old Taco Bell beans.. If you're looking for tasteless food in a nice atmosphere this is your place.

I eat at this El Toro location at least two times per month. I always enjoy their food. However, my one complaint is regarding the time it takes to get the check at the end of the meal. Once the food arrives, I might see the waiter one more time to make sure everything is correct and then they completely disappear. Every single visit I have to find the waiter to ask for my check. It is the only negative thing I have to say about El Toro. The food is always hot, tasty, and delivered fast. But getting the check is ALWAYS a hassle.

1/18/2025 I just went there for lunch today. I will not go back. My regular margarita was so watered down that there was no taste and no alcohol. I complained, and they agreed to take it off our bill and give me another one. However, the second one only had a bit more taste and still very little alcohol. I am very sensitive to alcohol, and after two drinks, I should have been staggering, but still, very little effect. My husband ordered the lunchtime fajitas, which had very little chicken. I got the Speedy Gonzales and it was good. Service was good, but some of the products were not.

Food is good, restaurant is clean and staff is always helpful and professional. Atmosphere is relaxing & tasteful.
