Food was great. I requested them to remove the cilantro. I order the Lengua Taco Salad without cilantro on GrubHub, and the Lengua Soft Tacos on Door Dash. They dont have the other on the app and vice versa.

A hidden gem! We found this restaurant with the help of Yelpers and their 5 star reviews. They were not wrong, as our group of 7 all ordered different entrees and everyone agreed it was worthy of 5 stars.Service was very, very friendly and helpful. Our server answered our questions and made recommendations.We knew we found a great Mexican restaurant as soon as we tasted the chips and salsas. We were served two salsas, red and green. Both had excellent flavor, and the green salsa was unique, different than any green salsa I have ever had. The chips were delicious, very fresh!Breakfast is served all day, and they have many breakfast options on the menu.I ordered the fried quesadillas, and they were delicious! I also ordered a side of beans, they were very flavorful and the texture was perfect, lots of bean and not just puréed like many restaurants serve.One of my friends ordered huevos rancheros, I sampled and they were excellent.We all agreed that if we lived here we would be dining here once a week.

I knew not to expect a fancy entrance but the inside of the restaurant was good. Lots of tables spread out in a good size room. The food was great. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was huge filled to the max. I loved it. My husband had the fajitas. He loved the flavor. Chips and salsa were testy. Water in a cold bottle is a great touch. Definitely will be back.

Authentic Mexican food. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. Portions were good. Onion, peppers, fresh tomatoes, refried beans, rice and freshly made soft taco shells. Tasty and seasoned just right. They brought out fresh hot chips with salsa to start. The salsa was very tasty and spiced just right. Excellent service. Highly recommend. Very clean restaurant.

Visiting Wright Patterson AFB and this restaurant popped up. Being from texas, always curious yet cautious of Mexican food. Excellent!!!! I had a huarache w/beef. Very generous portions and a good layered blend of beans, meat, lettuce, queso fresco and crema! Yum. Thinking the huarache was small, I ores 2 sopes: one chicken and one carnitas. Very similar in preparation as the huarache, but in a corn tortilla bowl. Hubby had the chicken green enchiladas; again, generous portions. We ended with a churros dessert. Highly recommend!

Did not like the food as much. Salsa seems more like store bought. Liked their guacamole. Service was fast. Ambience was casual. It was ok but not worth the price. Portions were small. This is our personal view as we were staying in Dayton for few days and we were trying new and different restaurants everyday.

Service was OK except waitress did not speak English so we had trouble understanding and communicating. Decor was bright and well lit. The door bell was electronic, extremely loud and high pitched, which was curious since the entire front of house was about 1500-1800 square and all open. Food. Bland, overcooked rice filled everything and I have no idea why other than it is a cheap filler. Four of us ordered two quesadillas (one chicken, one steak), a steak burrito and a chili relleno plate. I have never before been served a quesadilla stuffed with overcooked rice but I do not recommend it. There was very little cheese or meat and it was very bland. The lettuce and tomato was inside as well and the entire quesadilla was uncut. I had to ask for silverware. No salsa or anything else on the plate. The burrito was the same just rolled up and closed. The relleno was flat, soggy and covered in a tomato sauce and the entire plate was inedible. My husband ordered a chorizo taco as a backup to his relleno and the taco was stone cold. We had four sodas, no refills and paid $70 with tip for food that was terrible at best. Perhaps Yelp needs to update this listing as this restaurant appears to have changed hands and names and my guess is the four and five star reviews were for the old place.

Not a good experience at all. Ordered a Chile Relleno meal with beans and rice and a taco. The Chile Relleno was soaked in some type of orange sauce and tasted bad. Beans were not the consistency of refried beans. More like soupy. The rice was dried out. All of it was cold. Other than the rice it was a plate of cold soupy items. The chorizo taco was a very small soft tortilla with cold chorizo. Really a bad experience. Also some of the reviews mention a different name for this restaurant and probably why this place has a high rating. I just confirmed that when I looked at Yelp photos it used to be called "La Casa de Los Primos". Yelp should have to pull these reviews down since it changed new ownership and from my experience no longer a restaurant worthy of 4+ stars. I clearly went on a bad day for the restaurant given Yelp's consensus...nothing about it stood out, from the same beans and rice you can get anywhere to a Spartan decor that does not translate into particularly low prices. My carnitas were under seasoned and surprisingly bland. Minus one more star for the overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals throughout the place (they seemed in a rush to open because of being short staffed).Friendly folks and an adequate meal, but nothing about El Gallo gave me any desire to return.
