I would consider this a hole-in-the-wall Mexican Restaurant, and they are almost always more authentic. This is true for this place. I got a Carne Asada Quesdilla with a side of refried beans and enjoyed the to the last bite. Plus they served my favorite Jarritos Mandarin! While the sore was clean and well lit, the service was friendly but lacking in speaking and understanding English. No problem for me though, I will overcome anything for great food!

Great tacos! We had carne asada, el pastor, chorizo, and chicken tacos - each one was delicious. As far as tacos in Springfield, the best we have had so far by far. The horchata was delicious and sweet and we also had guacamole which was good. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon. Service was quick and we had the nicest waitress. We went between peak hours and it was already bustling quite a bit so I'm sure during dinner and lunch it would be popping.

AWESOME new QUICK, delicious, waaaaaaaay off the beaten path Mexican "fast food" restaurant. Hard to categorize, tough to find (it's on the right side of the Burnett Rd. shopping center, perpendicular to the main line of stores) but VERY worth checking out!! Mexican comfort food doesn't get much better and more AUTHENTIC than this... Two wonderful women from Chiapas in S. Mexico will take your order (there's a menu card with what they offer, no pricing, which I think they REALLY should add...) and prepare it for you while you wait. I ordered two ENORMOUS chicken burritos and two mole tamales to go (try them, they're AMAZING!!) took them to go, and we ate like ROYALTY for under $20.00 last night. Pictures soon!! There's limited seating, I think most orders are to go.... This place, as well as a few other semi "hidden" taco trucks that are starting to appear in the "field of springs" are definitely worth a try!!! Soooo much better than what you'll find in some of the decent, but repetitive local Mexican restaurants/chains that are fine, but so geared to gringo tastes!! I'm determined to get back to El Comal soon, and won't rest til I/we sample one of EVERYTHING on the limited, but WONDERFUL menu!! P.S. Dust off that high school Spanish, if you've still got it, but it's not DIFICIL at all to make yourself understood when the food es MUY DELICIOSO!!! :-)

Went in to order take out and was not able to get a vegetarian burrito due to lack of peppers. Settled for chicken burrito , chicken nachos and ordered a carne steak taco and chorizo taco.Time took about 10 minutes and was handed a bag. Got home and was missing the tacos, the phone number on the receipt did not work, the phone number on Yelp did not work. The food was less than average, overly salty chicken and stale chips for the nachos. My wife took 2 bites of the burrito and could not eat it.
