El Canon Mexican Restaurant

We were passing through and stopped in after a long week of camping. At first glance we were worried about going inside, but after entering, we were genuinely surprised. The atmosphere is great, the decor is fun and the music was good! Our server was very attentive and the speed of service was excellent, our food came out piping hot, and was very flavorful. My family of five were very happy. I would recommend this place 100 percent. Pleasantly surprised!

This is one of the best restaurants in our area. We are in a very small town and we are blessed to have this wonderful Mexican restaurant as a part of our town. The wait staff is exceptional. They always take care of us no matter what time of day we are there. The food is outstanding. I always get the Santa Fe and my husband always has the tacos. I cannot tell you what an amazing group of people this is that run this place. Please come and visit and then take a walk through our small town and look at the beautiful murals.

Amazing food people and atmosphere!!!! Service was quick and always came to check on us !! Friday night Margarita pitcher is just what we need after a long work week !!

Better than average Mexican Food. The Wait Staff are very friendly and food is served quickly.

The food here is, by far, one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. I get fajitas, or Tacos carne Asada, and they're always flavorful.

We were visiting Cousins in Ohio (we are from Kansas) and decided to take 2 of them out for Lunch. We had tried the El Canon in Washington Court House and wanted to take the Ladies somewhere they had never tried before.We were seated in the middle of the Restaurant and given Menus. We placed our Drink Orders and was brought Chips and Salsa. They didn't offer the Taco Plates at this location -- so we were a little disappointed. Hubby ordered a Carnitas Plate, one Cousin got a Stuffed Baked Potato, another Cousin got an Enchilada Plate and I got a Cheese Enchilada & Bean Burrito Combo with all Beans and no Rice. Let's just say that the Quality of the food did not compare to the other Restaurant. Both Cousins wiped their plates clean! I sent my Burrito and Beans home with one of my Cousins for her Dinner (she hates to cook!).Anyway, the Server was Polite and He refilled our Beverages. I am not so sure that we would return.

Food greatService most the time great depending on how many servers are scheduled.Need to lower the thermostat or get A/C fixed it's been exceptionally warm in there recently.

Having come from California and having visited Mexico multiple times, I can tell you that this is not authentic Mexican food. This place relies too much on salt for flavor. I eat here once or twice a year when it is someone else's idea. There is nothing on the menu that resembles the real deal. And that is sad. Surely someone there knows a decent and authentic recipe? I always ordered tacos because they are hard to mess up. But this last time, the "ground beef" did not resemble real ground beef. The same "beef" was used in the taco salad. What is that stuff?

Food is good. Service is good. Ambience is ok. I've been here several times. Only once was I disappointed.

The food here was very good and the service was great. I had mixed fajitas, which were the best I have had in a long time. I will definitely stop by the next time I am in town.
