More authentic than just about anywhere else in the Natti. Especially regarding seafood. They have an amazing selection (and great pricing) on lots of seafood dishes. The non seafood is good- and basically what I prefer, but seafood is the focus and what most Latino people tend to order here. Everything I've had is great, and definitely think you should try- especially for seafood.

My husband and I were on the opposite side of town to pick up his car and I thought why not try some place brand new? We happened upon El Barco and it was definitely worth the stop. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly host and as soon as we were seated we were given chips, salsa, and a really good cheese dip. The interior was very clean and organized as well with a fun nautical theme. The menu is a little different than the usual Mexican spot, but it was fun because of that! We both ended up getting the California burrito, which was delicious! It had three different sauces on it, which was nice because there were so many flavors that it almost felt like more than one dish. It was super big and we honestly probably could have just shared one, but I love having leftovers so it was okay by me! I also had their margarita, which was HUGE and super good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and everyone was wearing their masks and social distancing, which was nice to see as it seems like that is getting lax at some places. The price point is just a little bit on the expensive side, but for how large the portions are, I didn't really mind. I'd definitely give El Barco another visit. Wonderful food and friendly staff!

I give it two stars just because the young male server really tried his best. The restaurant looked a little dingy, music was loud.. couldn't hold a conversation without shouting, food was ugh. I had a seafood plate that should've been hot and it was mixed with a decent warm temperature with a sudden bite of cold. My utensils had crust of leftover food. Paid over $50 for 2 meals that we probably took a few bites of and left instead. Didn't want to risk salmonella.

First visit to this new restaurant (in the location that used to be Mi Familia) that highlights seafood like it's served in Mexico. Best Shrimp cerviche I ever tried. The burrito with green sauce is like a delicious chicken rice casserole wrapped up and with a beautiful sauce. We tried the shrimp and chicken fajitas which were delicious and plentiful, though the accompanying plate of "fixings" was too skimpy for the generous amount of meat, peppers and onions on the sizzling skillet. Tortillas were good but not house made. Also tried tacos Pastor and carnitas taco. Fine, but nothing unusually great. Service was wonderful. Seafood selections on the menu were impressive. Disappointed that there were no fish tacos except tilapia, which we don't eat. Chips were ok but not great. Salsa was fantastic. Food that we saw go by was pretty. Presentation is great, in general. Definitely will return often.

4 diners in our group. Three of us ordered burrito poblano and 1 order of tacos. Our waitress carried out 2 plates (with potholders), 5-10 min later brought out mine (pictured) with a pot holder. Another 5min for the tacos. Not sure why the need for the potholders I blew on my burrito and it was ice cold, so I touched the plate cold . The portions are huge, however it was not edible. Tacos were lacking in heat as well. Place was empty sans one guy at the bar I just got a to go box so I could heat it later tonight

Customer service amazing depending on who's there cause it's inconsistent. Ambiance cool. Complimentary chips & salsa not good at all the first time i visited, but the were good the next time, so hit or miss. Ended up ordering a seafood stuffed pina loca that came with rice, salad & fries lol. The fries were actually decent but odd pairing with the dish. The rice was really good & spicy. The pina loca was cool too. Not the best I've had tho. The portion size was huge, definitely could share it. The margaritas were okay not the best. Also went for taco tuesday. not the best specials, but i did appreciate the karaoke show. Also tried seafood pasta that was okay at best but didn't seem like real crab meat so i picked that out & the quesadilla i tried was nasty af too. Good hit or miss depending on who is cooking. Overall, I would return, but look forward to trying other mexican spots.

I've only been here once and it was for carryout. Food was good and portions were very large. I had pollo loco and my husband had a burrito with ground beef. Gave us a large bag of chips which went well with the queso cheese we ordered. When I first looked at the menu, I was ready to look elsewhere. I don't know any Spanish and not an adventurous eater octopus, beef tongue, etc). I like traditional americanized Mexican food such as beef or chicken tacos, burritos, tostadas etc. If you look at the menu closely, you will see some of this. Didn't see ground beef on the menu but I asked and they had it. Not disappointed. Would return again when in the area. I live about 35-45 'minutes away otherwise I would visit more often.
