The prices have gone up a lot. They're charging $5 for a kid scoop. It was $10 to get my two daughters a kit scoop each. I can buy 2 gallons of ice cream at the store for that price. They have all the stuff, all the tables and chairs, the kids games, a brand new patio outside. It's the same ambience. The workers are the same. They have no control over the prices.I don't know if I'm gonna be coming here this year again. There are other options that cost a lot less and have at least the same selection and atmosphere. It's a shame too.

A summertime mecca in Troy. It's almost always packed, and is a very old-fashioned hometown Americana kind of place that neighborhood kids bike and walk to, and little league teams visit to celebrate victories or clear their minds after a hard-fought loss. The building and seating are very well maintained, and the decor is cute. Everything is clean. Even though the building is on a main road there is seating inside the old garage bays so you can sit with your kids and feel ok about it. The servers are sweet and try very hard to do a good job. It's fun to watch the girls transitioning from first-time employees in early summer to handling large crowds very efficiently within a few weeks. Every time we've visited, the owner is on site, so I'm sure that helps. We have always gotten the snowballs. They aren't quite Louisiana style, in that the ice isn't wispy-thin flakes that pack together like snow & melt immediately in your mouth. They are like what I had growing up in Ohio, which is small, hard crystals of ice, very crunchy, and there's a large puddle of syrup in the bottom that you have to keep stirring in. Still, very refreshing, and the syrups are good. I haven't had one yet, but they have an item called a "quackwich" that is a locally baked donut filled with ice cream. It sounds amazing. Parking is always an issue, but there is a gravel lot about 3 houses down the street that runs between Walgreens & Ducky's.

Best place for cold treats in Troy. It's a cool looking place. This is an old gas station. It has an indoor seating area. The prices are not bad. It seems to be one of the few independent ice cream places in the area. It has a pretty cool theme, making it pretty unique among ice cream places. This building used to be a gas station. It has an indoor seating area in which used to be the garage. There's all kinds of equipment, which kids will surely be interested in touching. It has a window but there wasn't anyone taking orders from it. There's a door next to it that leads you to the counter, and you can order there. I had a watermelon Snow Ball. This is about $3 for a medium size. It's like a snow cone. They give you the option of putting ice cream on the bottom, which is an interesting way to eat it. Good place for eating ice cream. Indoor seating area is pretty roomy. The parking lot really sucks.

Great ice cream but customer service, not so great. An employee jumped 6 people to help her own family. When she got to our order she didn't listen whatsoever, messed up our order because she was to worried to continue jumping over people to help her own family.

We stopped Saturday for malts. We both ordered a vanilla double malt. It's was malty and delicious! Price was about $5 and I'd say it's worth all of that. The service was fast and the place is clean. There are games for the kids to play and chairs to kick back in while you enjoy the desserts.I'd recommend it, we will be back! There are many more flavors for us to explore!

It's ok. If you want small town Americana this is a great place to go. Fun way to enjoy a hot evening. But the ice cream itself is pretty run of the mill soft serve. I haven't tried their donut stuffed ice cream sandwiches yet so maybe I'll update this when I'm brave enough for what looks like a massive sugar hit

Important; this business is seasonal, so pay attention so you don't drive there and find they are closed. And that would be a real shame because Ducky's is a lot of fun! You cannot go wrong with a custom-made glazed donut with delicious ice cream INSERTED INTO IT. Don't miss it opportunity to get a Quackwich because I guarantee you, you won't regret it, and you won't find it ANYWHERE else.

I wanted to try a Duckys snowball since that is their specialty. Mine was yuck. It was late in the evening and I think that it was just not solid soft serve and the slushie machine was more water than slush. I ended up throwing mine away. However, my friend got one of the scoopable flavors in a waffle cone and loved it. I will go back but not for a snowball treat.
