Don & Marty's Corner Pizza & Carryout

So I ended up in Jeffersonville Ohio for a couple days. For reasons I won't disclose, I had to walk nearly a mile and a half into town to eat at this place, and I'm glad I did.This is your typical rustic historical rural "downtown" neighborhood. Not a lot, but enough for outsiders and local Town folk to get by.The woman who owns this place was super nice! We engaged in quite a bit of meaningful banter, and while she was preparing my food, I decided to scroll through the walls covered with family pictures, news articles, awards, etc. Very homey feel, the way that all these corporate businesses now should operate.I ordered a hot supreme Italian sub, hot wings, and fried mushrooms. If you're in avid reader of my reviews, you know that I'm serious about my carb intake, and I get really pissed off when I splurge in a place wasn't worth my discipline. But this place?TOTALLY worth it.Hot subs, are hard to find, unless you're going to these corporate and franchise sh**boxes of fast food pander. It was super nice to get a local "down home" type cooked fare. That super italian, even though it doesn't look it from the pictures because it was a bad angle, was something I would eat once a week every week. Super good. The hot wings were also really really good, not sure the type of breading they put on it, but it was definitely unique, and the fried mushrooms were bomb!Upon conversing with the owner, learning the fate of that small rural town, with all these big conglomerates and major companies coming in to build their plants, and warehouses, is really heartbreaking. These corporate executives are expanding beyond big towns, and are starting to litter these small important historic rural towns with their construction. I even heard a few customers coming in talking about it with her.I didn't ask, but I pretty much assumed, the alcohol situation is zero. But they do have pool tables and a jukebox, and with my mom living in zanesville, and for us owning a small local bar/pub/restaurant, I would guess this is where a lot of the common folk come to gather.Even if you're not walking, and you're driving like a normal human being, and you want to stop in and get freshly prepared pizza, wings, mushrooms, and whatever I also have the offer, I would definitely recommend taking the time to stop in here. If I'm ever back in this area, I will definitely be going back again!!

Decent place , friendly people. just a little shop on main street. It was late in the day, I was on a road trip, and was craving a pizza. Thought. I'd try local , this worked just fine. thin crust but tasty, and lots of good cheese. not that cheap franchise crap. if your in town, and just want so e solid pie,this is the place.

This place very friendly small town people. The pizza is great for the area. Could have better crust but toppings are not spared!! Sides are OK but could make better at home. Subs are good if ate right away. Other wise the get mushy. I say 3 1/2 to 4 is OK for this place!

Pretty darn good Pizza. I kind of wish it had regular crust but they do not short you on toppings.

the best pizza around. got 10 xl pies for a party and the was done perfect. and prices were great. and the quality u can't beat. good job girl. they are loving them..

Great food great service just wish the online hours and days matched. Love ordering when we're able to but disappointing when it's not open but shows it should be.

This place has the best food ever... the ones that run it are great. NEVER a disappointment. If I order out it's from here always... Yall Rock

Nice little hometown pizza place. Only thin crust but lots of toppings. Also serve lasagna and spaghetti. No cheese is spared....on pizza, spaghetti and even the salads....the owners must have grown up in Wisconsin!! Pool tables and free juke box with country and 80's selections.
