Fun place to have a drink and play some cool retro games, for free!!!!! So many beers on tap for very reasonable prices.

Great place to have a beer and play vintage video game. Plus they have amazing new pinball machines Video games are free play and pinball is pay to play. Good variety of local beers on tap. No food but they wool with pizza place across the street to take you order and deliver in. Staff is great and it is open to all ages until 8p. It was a great hang for me and my not quite 21 y/o sons I'll be back

I love hanging out at DK Effect! Awesome games from 80's classics like Frogger, Galaga and PAC-man to all the modern pinball classics. The staff are friendly and they always have a huge assortment of beers on tap. There's truly something for every taste. And, although they don't have a kitchen, you can order pizza and food from a great pizza spot next door. DK Effect is a fantastic hang out in Dayton!!

Food is gr8, service is beyond reproach, ambiance is very reminiscent of a 70's/80's old school arcade joint!

This place is great! It is very nice inside and the staff is great. The bar is very extensive and I lost track of the number of craft beers they had on tap. You can order food from the bar, which is supplied by Gioninos next door. We ordered from the bar and the food was great!The arcade has a great assortment of classic video games that you'll remember from the early arcade games, and best of all, they are free to play! They also have a wide assortment of very good pinball machines that cost 50 cents per play. I played for quite a while on $2.DK. Effect is great fun and I highly recommend you and your friends try it out. It should be packed with college students!

I love arcades. I don't like this one. I play lots of pinball ($1 per game). I put over $10 in the pinball machines at this arcade only to realize that the games are not maintained. Good selection but they played like barf.Pinball: 2 out of 10Also... they play really loud, shrill, awful music in this place. It's difficult to think let alone talk to your friends and enjoy a game with them. The outdoor tables - you are apparently forced to eat any outside food here - are rickety, busted and a bit of a safety hazard. This was all a big turn-off in addition to the malfunctioning pinball machines. Would probably be a tolerable place to enjoy some shoddy pinball games if it weren't so annoying to to be forced to listen to unnecessarily loud music.Ambience and comfort: 2 out of 10I had a really tasty cider. Extra star for that. The coolest thing in this place was the Uncle Fester mod on the Addams Family machine.

DK Effect is another barcade. It uses tokens to play the games. These come free with beer. It's similar to many others of this concept. The games are mostly classics and fun playing. A beer is about $5 for a pint, most of which are local. It has the local breweries including Warped Wing. There's also many others to choose. If you get a beer, you will get 10 tokens. These are allowed to be used in any of the arcade games. Pinball you have to pay for. The arcades include Galacta and Tekken. It has many fighting games, but there are some sports ones like baseball. The games are in pretty good condition. Anyone who likes barcades should come here. It has many games to choose. There's also cheap food on some days like pizza.

Love the atmosphere and craft beer choices. The free video games are a huge plus too. What a unique establishment. If you're hungry they partner with a pizza joint for food, can't go wrong!

Great staff and great selection of craft beers that change fairly often. Free gameplay and at least 15 pinball machines to enjoy.

I was rudely treated by the bartenDee who has a long beard and is bald headed.. I came in with two females and ordered our drinks, when the bartender was being very rude to us about how we wanted our drinks.. When I asked the bartender to get us a lemon, he then reach over and grabbed the fruit with his bare hand! I told him that we didn't want the fruit and he got very hostile and told us to leave! I was shocked but looks like it was because of our race, but he was very disrespectful and threw my card across the room when I turned around away from him to see what the commotion was going on behind me. When I turned around it was my company in a fight with a bar patron. So I'm trying to diffuse the situation, and the bartender calls like 6 guys to surround me. I explained to all of them not to lay a hand on me. As I walked my company out with me making sure they wer assaulted again, the bartender calls more people to join his shouting at us.. This was assault and I will be getting my attorney to investigate this situation....
