SERVICE was EXCEPTIONAL - very friendly people and super attentive.MENU (attached) is more 'drive-in' food (burgers, sandwiches, fries) than diner, with all-day breakfast PLUS one daily 'diner' food SPECIAL (ham w/sweet potatoes, chicken & dumplings, beef hotshot, etc)(caveat: biscuits & gravy are handmade, but only served until 11am, despite all-day breakfast, and often sellout early).PRICES are very reasonable for the portion size. MEAL: pork tenderloin sandwich and mushroom Swiss burger were good. Fries were tasty but onion chips were far better and a recommended upgrade.OVERALL: very good experience and will definitely return to try and sample those famous biscuits and gravy and visit with good people

Hit and miss- but mostly miss. We go about once a It has a diner vibe in the front and a big, open room in the back. The black table cloths leave black marks on your arms. Pretty patio area. It looks like some effort goes into the decorations- definitely a woman's touch- but then the higher vents on the wall are filthy.No baby changing area in bathrooms. Service is usually slow. Lori is the exception

Perfect diner! Lori the owner is a fabulous cook and business owner. From the moment you walk into the diner, you are welcomed with a friendly hello or two from the owner and employees. You are encouraged to seat yourself and make yourself at home. Lori's biscuits and gravy sell out fast daily -- do get them and get their as early as you can. I was visiting family and we literally ate there every day. So grateful a family member checked reviews and found this diner. It's not fancy -- so dress comfortably. It's a diner. It's the perfect diner. The food is amazingly delicious coupled with a friendly atmosphere. Everything is homemade. Lunch is delicious too. And Lori's desserts are all homemade as well. Lori even went out of her way to prepare a huge pan of homemade macaroni and cheese to take to a family feast! I didn't have to cook anything!!!!Go, eat, enjoy and repeat!

Stumbled across this diner when we were real estate shopping. We were seated immediately & our server quickly brought our drinks. I ordered the Dagwood burger with the salad bar while hubby got a single cheeseburger with fries. I helped myself to the salad bar & our food arrived before I finished my salad. The salad bar was pretty good as salad bars go. Our burgers were good. The fries were delicious! I'd go back just for the fries. We were too full to try their desserts but they looked decent. They have daily specials that are $7.25 which is a fair price in this day & age of inflation. The service was very friendly & the owner took time to chat with me about the daily specials.

Great diner! Good salad bar. Enjoyed the cod and the French fries were perfect. The service was friendly.

If you are looking for a great down home experience this is it. The atmosphere is what you would expect, the food was decent, the best part? A salad bar! With chili. The pies are made in house, no mass produced pies here. If you are looking for a solid no frills meal at a great price, this is it.

We have been going here more often related to not cooking as much due to a remodel. I have been impressed with the daily specials-- which are all home- made. I craved their lasagna after I had got the first- better than a few Italian restaurants I have been to. Today's special was Fish fry; fresh Cole slaw, hush puppies ( have a little jalapeño flavor, corn kernels, and red pepper flakes-- not overpowering), and fries. My son wondered where they got their fish from because he said it was delicious and it was. Forgot to add, their daily is special is around $8

The salad bar is always fresh and it has hot chili and vegetable soup everyday. I've tried several of the daily specials and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and service makes you feel welcomed!

My wife & I went to Dixie Diner about a month ago.We'll definitely be back!It's not at all fancy, but feels very comfortable. Their menu has a decent variety, and service was excellent. I've got no complaints at all about the food we had during our visit (a bit rare for me!), and I look forward to trying other stuff the next time we go back.As a 6' 2" male of the species, I like being comfortable when I sit down at a restaurant. The bolted-down seats on either side of the tables were NICELY spaced. I didn't feel cramped at all. This was a very pleasant difference from the KRAMPING my wife & I experienced at Koffee Kup Diner in Miamisburg.Good food, at a fair price.

Food is good, service is excellent, ambiance typical diner, prices very reasonable! Best value and flavor ever
