deSha's American Tavern

Came here for brunch with about 15 people for our annual Christmas get together. We sat in the Rookwood Room, which was perfect size for us, however there is no ceiling which allows all of the noise from the restaurant to travel into our "private" room. Food is pretty good and wouldn't mind coming back here next year.

Haven't been here in a lot of years. It is more casual than I remember. We went for new years e e. Men is a lot smaller. We ended up having salmon, fried cod with panko crumbs and fried cod in standard breading. Service was ok but their menu is now more sandwiches and burgers and soups. Didn't expect for dinner.

Well this is definitely a bummer , but like always I will keep it honest. I would have given it a 2 if it wasn't for the music and cleanliness. The service was amazing and this is by no means a reflection on them. Let's start with the aka southern fried chicken. I haven't never in my life had fried chicken while in the south that consisted of a fried boneless chicken breast......and as you may of guessed yes it was dry and hammered. The prime rib pretzel was ok but would not recommend dipping it in their Au jus which was more like a brown gravy. The fries were my favorite part of the meal. If you are looking for a chill bar to hang out and entertain yourself then this may be your place, just eat before you get there.

I came here tonight for a friend's rehearsal dinner. We had a private room in the back which was very nice. We had charcuterie, fruit, crackers, and cheese to start. Entrees were served buffet style, and included salad, pot roast, and fried chicken, as well as Gouda pasta. I don't usually like pot roast but I liked these, and the fried chicken was really crunchy too.Dessert was delicious - some sort of cookie pie but shaped like a muffin, topped with ice cream. I also had a glass of Moscato, which was also tasty.We had our own waitstaff as well, which was also nice.

Easy to get to, easy parking in a large lot, plenty of seating, very nice ambiance, EXCELLENT service and food. Solid fish and chips (2 kinds!) or fish sandwich, good bar service too. Prices are fair and I've enjoyed every meal I've eaten here.

I was very disappointed. My son and I went there on a Sunday late afternoon and our server (Kat) which I only knew from the receipt, acted like we were an inconvenience. I had the Club sandwich which was very good and he had the Kentucky Hot Bourbon which he enjoyed as well. We were greeted when we arrived by the host, but waited at the table a while before greeted by our server. Someone very polite delivered our food. I had to ask another server for drink refill. When we left there were 4 employees at the host stand... none of which seemed to notice us. Overall very disappointed.

Had a great time at deSha's. We had a large party that they were able to accommodate. Service was a little slow, but our waitress was very nice. They did lose one of our orders so they all didn't come out at the same time: The ambiance is very warm and cozy. I got the prime rib pretzel bun and loved it. The meat was very tender and I loved the dip that came with it. We ordered a few apps and they were just ok. I did not personally have the French onion soup, but it came highly recommended by two people in my party.

deSha's has a nice ambiance. The food is okay. Service was serviceable.I ordered a Spinach Salad with Salmon. It was good, but it didn't stand out among other salmon salads I've had elsewhere.My friend ordered the French Onion Soup. I have to say it looked delicious!Given the relatively fancy interior, I feel the food should be better. That said, it's not bad and if we're in the neighborhood... in a pinch, we'd come back.

Good food in a lovely atmosphere. I live that there is a piano player/singer, it feels so old school and adds to the overall atmosphere.Service was a little slow, but we were catching up with each other and not in a hurry so it wasn't a problem for our table. Get the fried chicken, so worth it!

This may sound like an ad but I'm a real customer who is picky and expects consistent food and good customer service. Long time patron here where I'm now ordering to go dinners for the past year every few months and it is consistently good every time! The staff is always friendly when I pick up, food is fresh, delish and always what I've ordered. The butternut squash salad with salmon is our favorite as is the burger with Swiss and onions.
