We hosted our wedding here in September 2019. It is a beautiful venue with a very accommodating staff. Bill Thomas was a pleasure to work with. He is very creative, innovative and always there to answer any questions. I was an out of town bride so I trusted Bill and the team to ensure our special day was executed flawlessly. He helped make our Pittsburgh Cookie Table sparkle with black and yellow accents. It is a stunning ballroom with golf course views and large windows. They have a getting ready room for the bridal party where we had hair/makeup and enjoyed quiche and fruit as we were getting ready. Our day of attendant was wonderful - very sweet gal and helped with any wedding day nerves. They have several wedding packages available for you to choose from. The packages vary depending on what type of chairs you would like, what entrees you would like to serve and different types of alcohol. Bill also helped arrange the lighted ceiling swag and gobo projector.

The service is horrible. My sister had her wedding reception here. Our table forgot to be served. When we finally flagged one of the 3 employees they had for us, we were served. Each meal was horribly proportioned and luckily they accidentally made too many children's meal, so we at least had extra food.We asked for more dinner rolls and when we got them, they were hard and stale.I waited at the bar for over 15 minutes before being served, the bartenders were poorly trained and did not know how to operate their credit card machine.I told her to hold on to my card in case I wanted more. I returned later and again, after waiting 20 minutes this time, nobody knew where my card was or the waitress that took it. Eventually she was found and I got my card back.If you're golfing; it seems like a great place, if you are planning to rent it out for an event, I would highly avoid it.

Great food and even better service! Everyone at the club make you feel so welcome. They are one of the most family oriented organizations that I have ever belonged to. We love to take advantage of their onsite baby sitting service.

I went there for a Christmas dinner with my grandmother (because it was her husband's country club) years ago. Ordered some scallops that I would have loved had I not realized it was smothered in hollandise sauce so I just ate my salad. My grandmother insisted I order something else so she waved a wait staff over and I just asked for lobster bisque soup. 30 mins later it came out with most likely 10 tablespoons of salt compliments of the chef. I realized at that point it could have been spitted in also and didn't eat it. So didn't bother after 4 spoon fulls. It wasn't just slightly overly salted it was nothing but salt in a orange colored soup. First (and last) time I learned the lesson to NEVER send food back and piss off the chef. Also the last time I ever ate there.

What!? No reviews yet for the DCC? My experiences, the 4 or 5 times I've been, have been so lovely. The food has always been delicious and the dining areas and gathering spaces are very cozy. There is outdoor seating spaces, but I've only ever been in December when there are roaring fireplaces and Christmas decorations. My inlaws have taken us here on several occasions over the years and my husband said that as kids they had a fun time with the activities available. We went today after a funeral mass to gather with friends and family. The hall/rooms we had were beautiful and the food was fantastic. Not sure if you have to be a member to rent for events.Would love to be able to post pics, but only have close ups with family. If you ever get invited to go, don't hesitate and if you are looking for a membership, lucky you! One to tour, for sure.

REVIEW OF GOLF ONLY: Dayton Country Club has a beautiful Donald Ross designed golf course (1919) that was updated in 1961. The layout stretched out might reach 6,400 yards but it is challenging at 6,200 which is members' tees. First, it is self-contained so you'll only see homes on the perimeter holes and not inside the layout. Love courses like this. Tight! If you like course management as a strategy, Dayton CC is perfect. Every hole has a decision to make from the tee. Several hard turning holes with dramatic 2nd shots (No. 9 falls down steep hill; No. 14 twists uphill; more like them). The Ross crowned greens places a premium on iron accuracy. Bring your short game because you'll be chipping. I was thrilled I chipped in once from behind the green, downhill - runaway but IN! My play day found the course in immaculate condition, long rough that complicated any effort to succeed with a 2nd shot. Speedy, sloping greens for sure. Dayton CC is old-school, scenic, and loads of golfing fun for purists. Very good players might find it can be overpowered. But they'll love it for it's history anyway.

I went golfing here a couple of times and the course is not bad. But the last time I went golfing here I accidentally left my water bottle here and I came back a day later for it to find out that it was gone and I later found out that the person that stole the water bottle was a worker that works there which is ridiculous and I was never able to get it back.
