They are under new ownership after being closed for a year. They do accept cash only at this time, but are working to get internet lines installed and credit card machines.Employees are wearing masks. My favorite thing from the past is the Mountain Dew Coolie. This is a combination of slush mix, ice cream and Mountain Dew syrup, it is not actual Mountain Dew soda but a syrup. I was so excited that they are still featuring this! I anxiously waited and sure enough... It was just like I remembered. The restaurant now features Coney dogs and some other basic food items. I've included some photos of the new menu. They've done some repainting and some updates at the restaurant. Come give the new owners a try! And remember you've got some new items and lots of the original favorites. Glad to see them back in part of the community. They are a true classic in Connersville.

The girls that work here are VERY VERY busy. This is the place where most of connersville visits at least once through each summer. The Best local ice cream storefront in connersville.

Dairy Twist is a Connersville institution, so I have no real complaints about it. They have a ton of different kinds of hand-dipped ice cream to choose from, and a huge variety of shakes, "Flurries" (think DQ Blizzards), the afore-mentioned Coolies, and other assorted goodies. The summer-only operation is frustrating, but it is a nice, tanglble transition from winter to warmer weather ("The Dairy Twist's open! Summer can't be too far behind!"). It's also nice for nostalgia's sake that the interior of the place hasn't changed since at least 1982.However, if I were an our-of-towner, I'd be pretty turned off by the consistently sullen service from the teenage employees and the filthy dining room. Being a hometown girl, I can overlook these things, because I know the ice cream's worth it. But seriously... someone needs to tell these girls to smile and wipe up the tables.

Oh, Dairy Twist. You would get 5 stars if you didn't insist on your ridiculous policy of only being open during the summer. Seriously, go to Dairy Twist and get a coolie. Coolies are magical slush-type things with soft-serve ice cream blended into them. Heavenly! My personal favorite flavors are cherry and Mountain Dew (sounds strange, I know) so I have to recommend those but, you know, I'm sure the other kinds are good too. Every time I'm home, a trip to Dairy Twist for a coolie is a necessity - as long as it's between the months of, like, April and October, or whatever they consider to be reasonable months to be open. Yes, Dairy Twist.

Cherry Coolie- that's all I have to say. kidding aside this is a nice family run ice cream stand, very little dining room but it's just ice cream! it could definitely use a face lift on the exterior and interior but who cares it gives it some character that a shiny new cold stone creamery definitely doesn't' have. the line out the drive through is usually wrapped around on summer nights so be prepared to wait!

Great, rich and creamy ice cream! We were the only ones in line, so service was not a problem. It's in an old building, it wasn't exactly dirty, just kind of an old, run down building. Had the chocolate dip top w vanilla ice cream, a step above DQ flavor if you ask me. It's a lot like Ritters, but better because of the chocolate dip top option. Would definitely return!
