Been a few weeks, as we happened to stop in when driving through. I would call it a taproom... with good food. The beer selection was on point, and that's always a good start to a good review. Our party of 4 ordered two personal pizzas, and two different styles of hamburgers. The pizzas were ate without complaint and the burgers, although messy, were also very delicious. Service was all at the bar, so it was pretty quick. Not as quick as the food came out, though! Pretty simple seat yourself set up, but it totally worked especially since they night we went it was pretty slow. If I ever found myself in Piqua again I would stop by for round two!

Hands down my husband and I's favorite brewery. There's a wide variety of beer on tap for just about any palate. Lights, darks, sours, ciders, you name it. Unique, delicious cocktails too!Food is great as well -- it's a big menu with new features all the time. And a super friendly par staff!

As a scratch kitchen you cannot go wrong when the food is locally sourced! Excellent customer service coupled with delicious fresh food makes this place a keeper for the community. As a community partner, Crooked Handle has provided incredible support and we so appreciate all they do.

Update2-pendingI will pop in later in the week to double check that the problem has been resolved and convert this back to a four star rating.I like it when people that have problems address them quickly and well. It looks like a great local place. I love that kind of place.Update:The bathroom is five unisex stalls feeding into a room full of sinks. The bathroom stall, at least the first one, doesn't lock at all. You could send a kid in there and not realize they're in a place where a drunk man can walk in at any time. I'm not OK with that. Original:Arrived around lunchtime on Sunday. There's only a couple of folks in. They had some music going. Looks like the city is building a splash pad a little bit east down the sidewalk from these guys, and there's some construction barriers up.Came in and it had a sign saying seat yourself, and then we also go up to the bar to order, they don't have folks come to us. We figured out what we wanted and went and placed our order. My sweetie was surprised and disappointed that they did not have unsweetened tea, and they did not have Coke zero. She really prefers one of those two.My younger three were splitting an Eddie pizza. My older is getting a avocado burger of some sort. My sweetie is getting a Cobb salad with their vinaigrette. They say they make everything from scratch so all the sauces and dressings are made in house. We'll see how that goes. I ordered just a regular burger. They call it a classic. For the most part it's about 20 bucks a person before the tip. Their machine wants me to give them a 25% tip, when there's no actual weight staff coming to take my order. To me that's really strange and a little bit pushy.I tried to get a sample of their imperial Stout, but it's sold out last night. It means people like it.They have a restroom set up where there's a big room of sinks, and a half dozen of what are basically closets with a toilet. I don't like it for kids. I very definitely don't like it for kids in an environment where people have or may be drinking. Not family friendly. Classic sandwich was really a double cheeseburger. It was very nice. A little greasy, but that comes with the terrain. Properly done. House chips were nice.My sweetie says the Cobb salad with grilled chicken was a really good salad. She got house balsamic vinaigrette on that too.My oldest says hers was pretty good. It's much better than fast food, it's real beef, it's real ingredients. She gives it an eight out of 10.My second one down says the pizza is really good. She says it's super cheesy, we got the Eddie, and when you put it in your mouth it's like there's an explosion of different flavors. It came out hot but not too hot for the Littles.Personally I think it was a bit pricey. Prices for everything including stupid high. Five years ago that burger would've been just as delicious and cost me eight bucks instead of 16 bucks. That's true of any restaurant right now. That doesn't make me any happier to pay it. The people doubling their prices, they didn't double my salary while they were at it, so this is a lot harder to pay. (even if my salary did increase, I'd pay more of it in taxes, so I get to keep less of it, and Benjamin Franklin says it's not about what you make it's about what you keep.)this wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't amazing. If somebody invites me here I'll join them but I think I'd rather look around and try new things, other things.

Service was great! Food was awful. Very overpriced for what you get. One of us got the grilled chicken Caesar wrap and it was the bulk chicken you get from factories- spongy. Chicken tenders were stringy and overcooked. Spent $160 but would've been $60 and higher quality back home in Charlotte where breweries are on every corner.

I really want to give the Crooked Handle more than 3 stars, I just can't. It has a potential for a 5 and maybe I just went on an off night. The location is great, plenty of outdoor seating, love they have a water cooler where you can help yourself. Love the local music playing, the Cornhole, the fast pass line for beers and checkout only, love the blue beer collab with the Dayton Boat club. Service was quick too, considering there was 7 of us. I was impressed. But I think all these things I love lead to a high expectation with the food and when you get a $16 bison burger, with a pretzel bun (love that they have that as an option) and it's sub par, it's a big downer. Especially since bison isn't a common item, if your going to have something unique deliver, it needs to be a home run, not a single. And the sliders, you get two sliders that are seriously the size of a half dollar, it's just another downer. The slider is small the bun is small, and there is no love put into them, they just sit there on their try to be laughed it. And then you laugh at yourself because you gotten taken $10. Literally for those two reasons, two bummers is a full star I guess so half stars don't exist on Yelp. I could give 3.5, but I can't. I really want to like this place, but with cost going up everywhere I'm more mindful of how money is spent and we aren't going out as much. Good luck Crooked Handle, I hope to go back and try some news things, your pizza did look good.

We decided to try this place since it's new and I love beer. The beer is great, the service at the bar is very slow and that's where food and drinks are ordered. You grab a food and a beer menu, find a table, decided what you want then go to the bar to order. The beer comes first, they text you when the food is ready. There are no waiters. The kitchen is fairly fast.We started with sliders that came with chips. Quite good actually! Chips were even house made. Yum!I went back to get a second beer and after a 10 min wait, I decided I didn't need another beer that bad.Next the pizza was ready. It's on the same order as frozen pizza heated up. We asked for a pepperoni pizza, no pepperoni was on the pizza. Crust is plain, sauce is plain. Cheese was good.I'll go back for the beer but not the pizza.

A great addition to piqua where there's not many choices. The atmosphere is nice and there's plenty of seating options inside and out. You order at the bar and your food is brought to your table. The menu has something for everyone appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pizza and wings. We get a couple things each and share so everyone gets to try different things and there's always leftovers to take home. They make their own chips for the nachos which were good but they could use a little salt.
