What a cool little gem. The Cozy Cottage in the heart of Bellevue. The Cozy Cottage is located in one of the historic buildings on Fairfield Ave. We were originally turned on to Cozy Cottage when my brother gave me some Savory Cracker Seasoning. Folks it doesn't get any better than this. Ummhumm. This little shop has about everything you can think of. Covered wall to wall with great quality and a lot of local items from art. toys, fashion, snack and dip mixes scarves. You name it they might have it. You have to check out The Cozy Cottage in Bellevue. It's a perfect fit in the historic up and coming area. I believe The Cozy Cottage has been there a long time. This was my second visit. Super friendly clerk. Interesting when we arrived to get our Savory Cracker mix no one was in the store. Not a real concern since it is located in Bellevue which is one of the towns left today where they could pr leave your doors unlocked and keys in your car without worry. In comes the clerk with a warm cup of local coffee from the coffee shop across the street. This place will bring you back to simpler times. We chatted for around 15 minutes and bought a few more dip mixes. I can't say enough about The Cozy Cottage. I will pass the word along and definitely be back again. No doubt.

The Cozy Cottage has alot of super cute stuff. Mostly kids stuff. I don't have any kids but I think I would appreciate this place if I did. They have Melissa And Doug toys and puzzles. American Girl Doll dresses. Little kid accessories. More learning base items for kids like placemats with math on them. Outside of the kids stuff they had a bunch of cards for Easter. They had cookie cutters, tea towels and also some locally made food. Like Olive oils and soups and beer bread. The lady running the place was super nice and welcoming. She was nice to my cousin Jack too and I really appreciated it. I would suggest going to this place for small cute gifts, at home decorations or things for your kid or anyone else's. Also, it may not be a cottage but it is cozy in this store and it smells super good.

When in Bellevue we almost always stop here for unusual and modesty priced gifts or cards for friends, family and of course ourselves. Service has always been warm and friendly. The two blocks of Fairfield Avenue are a treasure trove of shops and restaurants. There is free 2 hour parking along Fairfield Avenue and side streets.

Food is just okay. Front desk staff are mostly rude, but they also look completely overwhelmed and confused. Wait staff has always been nice. LOTS of people there. The only thing on the menu that I have enjoyed is the steak appetizer bites. Have had a different entrée each time I've been there and all are okay, but for the hype would think it would be better quality.

Cozy Cottage is filled to the brim with handcrafted items. One can easily find something for all the women in their life here in one stop, from doll clothes for the little girls, to monogrammed initial trinkets for young adults, and cooking supplies, jewelry and lotions for the mature ladies. I bought a magnetic picture frame with a couple of ceramic letters to attach to it for $15.00. The letters are sold individually, which lets my creativity soar. They're 90 cents a piece, so if you just want some for your fridge, you can pick them out without bothering with the photo frame (although, the frame is pretty cool.) There were also some unique, vibrant flower barrettes at the front of the store. One was orange tiger striped with a gemstone center. These easily could have been American Girl Doll accessories, but they were well made and looked stylish enough for me to wear. Also, they were only a couple of dollars!Just a bit of what the shop offers: - Locally-themed notecards and postcards - Letter magnets, keyrings, and wine stoppers - Handmade notecards - Jewelry - Soy candles - Baskets - Heartland Herbs dip and cheeseball mixes - Iced wine mixes - Lotion bars - Handmade cornhole bags - Doll clothes and accessories for American Girl DollsThe owner of the shop is very friendly and passionate about life in Bellevue. Anything you want to know about the town, such as, where to grab a great sandwich or brunch, she can point you in the right direction. If you're looking for some crafty gifts for yourself or a loved one, cuddle up with the Cozy Cottage.

There doesn't seem to be any unifying theme to the Cozy Cottage, other than most items are hand-crafted by local artisans. From American Girl doll clothes to replacement cornhole bags to hand-made stationary and gift bags to soy candles, this is a perfect place to find things that large department stores just don't carry. Looking for Mother's Day gifts, I knew I found a store that would have that special present that said "Hey, Mom. Look, I didn't just grab something from the check-out line at Kroger."I picked up a few scented soy candles (cucumber and melon and clean cotton) made by Auntie Y's. I bought one for myself so I could test them out before giving them and I was so pleased with the aroma and how smokeless the candle burned. For only $5, the candle was a bargain compared to store bought scented candles of the same quality. As I was getting ready to pay, the owner pointed out one her favorite skin care products, The Body Bar's Lotion Bar. Encased in a metal container, this locally-produced lotion is applied as if you were washing your hands with a sudless bar of soap. The oil rich bar is rubbed along your palms, fingers, and cuticles (or anywhere else that need moisturizing) for a rich, replenishing skin treatment. The scents were amazing; my favorites were White Tea and Ginger, Mandarin Mimosa, and Be Delicious. When my mother opened her gift, she was so impressed that I had gone that extra mile to find these unique items. Thank goodness there is a place like Cozy Cottage that carries them.

I love the Cozy Cottage! It's a great place for unique and thoughtful gifts; from things for the kids, to dips and recipe mixes, to wooden signs, they have a huge variety. The thing I love most about this store though, is they are the only place I have found that ALWAYS has my Hot Maple Toddy Candleberry candles and tarts in stock!
