Coffee Please

I hade a quick coffee meeting in Madeira and picked Coffee Please as the meeting spot. Easy to find on the main drag with plenty of parking.Inside there was an indy shop vibe and a nice group of patrons. I came in just before lunch so the pastries choices were limited and beginning to dry out. I got a 4 shot latte and that was fantastic. I didn't prefer any lunch items but I'm told they have great sandwiches.So overall I would say this a great meeting spot with yummy coffee.

Staff wasn't very friendly. Seemed like I was a bother to be ordering. The pastry that I got out of the case was literally hard as a rock (it was a muffin so not supposed to be hard). Ambiance was not very inviting. The shop felt empty. Since there aren't very many coffee shops in the area it's hard to compare but it was not somewhere I would go back to.

PUHLEsse im actually only reviewing this to get my pro helper badge they're probably okay but not as good as my masterful homemade lattes.

Mine was a latte, his was an iced coffee.They were both very similar in that they were both entirely milk. (The one of the left is after they charged us for an extra shot)

Been a regular the past year and still love it everytime i come . Good food and drinks , friendly service , and laid back ambiance approach with a local charm .

It's been a good 10 years since I've walked through those doors. I'm expecting the roasted coffee bean smell and it delivered! The taste is incredible- the people are amazing and the customer service is a+

Not sure what happened to the excellent customer service and products that were once offered. It seems so cold and not welcoming.

I had read the glowing reviews and was excited to try this place. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed.We initially passed by Coffee Please, as it had a hand drawn sign in the smudged picture window. A customer opened the door and greeted us with a smile. He held the door for us, and we thanked him. This is important, because that was the only friendly treatment we had received there.My wife and I were not exactly greeted when we arrived at the register. The young lady at the cash register glared at us as if we should not have been there. When my wife asked about the Gingerbread Latte, the woman flatly told her it was sweet and continued to glare at her. Once my wife made a decision, I placed my order for the Dignity (Hazelnut and Caramel Latte). The young lady did not smile, make eye contact, or even talk, except to ask if we wanted a sweet to go with our coffee. We did not, due to her unwelcoming attitude. A customer behind us placed her order and the young lady behind the counter suddenly was talkative and smiling. This was definitely a bad experience in customer service. A different young woman made my wife's coffee without a problem. She turned her head and sneezed while making mine. I was glad she turned her head, but she did not wash her hands and continued making my coffee. I wiped the cup down thoroughly after she placed it on the counter. She wasn't exactly friendly either. In fact, the only friendly person out of this entire encounter was a customer who was leaving.My wife's Gingerbread Latte was very good, with the right amount of sweetness. My Dignity Latte did not really have a taste. In fact, I tried stirring it up, and it still lacked any flavor. Coffee Please offers a variety of whole bean coffee, and have a decent tasting Gingerbread Latte. With that said, I would not be able to recommend this place, due to the unfriendliness of staff and the somewhat dirty environment, (including the floors). There are better coffee places out there.

Worst latte I've ever had in my life. Absolutely flavorless... I believe this place was created for elderly people that loose their tastebuds. My partner got a chai latte & same thing... flavorless & burnt tasting. Ambience is dark and dingy with no pulse.

I absolutely love the creative drink menu at Coffee Please, especially their Andrew's Freeze and quality espresso drinks. I only wish they hadn't started closing at 2:00 instead of 5:00, like they used to. It was always so nice to stop there after school pickup with my teenagers to get a special treat after school, so now I'm not able to visit as often since I live in another part of town and can't usually get there that early.
