Love City Barbeque. Restaurant is well taken care off by the employees. It's nice to sit down and employees like Alexis come around and make sure everything is good. You can't go wrong with the pulled pork LOLO, corn pudding and cornbread! Great selection of foods and desserts.

Nice and cool on a hot summer day, music vibing too. The gal that took orders this day was friendly and very helpful. The food was out in just a few minutes. I learned this visit that you can sample other meats. I got a sample of two that I didn't order and they were a couple bites each. I ordered the turkey and sampled the brisket and the bama chicken. The chicken was surprisingly juicy and flavorful. My only suggestion is that they come out and wipe off the tables more often.

If you're looking for some quick and delicious down south-style barbecue, I would highly recommend City BBQ. Arriving on a sunny Sunday around 5:20 pm, I pulled into a well-maintained parking lot with the sight of patio furniture and umbrellas providing shade. With easy parking and even a drive-thru available, I walked in and was greeted with smiles immediately. You can see the LED menu and a full staff working behind the counter in different stations. After carefully searching the menu and asking plenty of questions, I decided on ribs, collard greens, corn pudding, and a pulled chicken sandwich.I had never been to this restaurant before, and after my many questions, a manager named Nathan took notice and offered samples to help me make my decision, which I thought was impressive. I sat down at a high-topped table, very clean, and was able to observe the drink station and barbecue sauce station to set me up before my food came. I opted for the sweet tea and lemonade mixed, which was absolutely delicious, and some extra original sauce. By the time I returned with my drink, my food was meeting me there as well, with the manager Nathan dropping off the food and making sure I was all set before carrying on to help behind the counter--once again, impressive and attentive. After a quick prayer and a glance over my food, I dug right into the collard greens with pork. They had a small kick of acidity and weren't too salty. The ribs were falling off the bone with smokiness and a light glaze. The corn pudding was warm, sweet, with plenty of corn, and the chicken sandwich was soft and tangy with a delicate sauce mixed in with the pulled chicken.Price: $27.50No complaints here, and I'm actually excited to try them again!

City BBQ has consistently gone downhill over the past 18 months. Today, I ordered the kids BBQ turkey sandwich with baked beans as the side and a kids soda. When I brought it home to my son, he asked "Dad, why is my sandwich and the beans so small?". You will notice that the picture in the menu has two slices of smoked turkey, which is my son's favorite meal. Today, there was only one small slice. In addition, the side item is in a much smaller container than the last time we ordered. It is one thing to push "shrinkflation" on an adult, but to do so on a kid, and future customer, is unforgivable.

Got the 2 meats, 2 sides. Had brisket and jalapeño sausage, mac & cheese and salad. The meats were very good. Meal was large enough for 2.

It's been 7 or 8 years since I last dined at a City BBQ and it was up in Columbus and I was impressed. It was great BBQ and not something I expected in Ohio. Last night I had dinner at this newish location in Cincinnati and can see nothing has changed. That was great news but I have two problems with City BBQ. First is that they don't serve combo meals so everything is a la carte. The other is that they aren't in Texas! This chain restaurant serves excellent BBQ and residents of Ohio are fortunate to have such access to it. I ordered the 1/2 chicken ($13) with corn pudding ($3) and baked beans ($2) as sides. With tax and a soft drink my bill was $22 which is a little high price wise. However, when I saw the SIZE of the 1/2 chicken it looked more like a turkey! They say everything is bigger in Texas. Well that's not true in this case. Where do they find chickens that big? Seriously it was massive. But that's only half of it. It also tasted very good being juicy and flavorful. I couldn't have asked for more and if you gave it to me I couldn't have eaten it all anyway. The beans had brisket meat in it and was delicious and the corn pudding was oh so satisfying. I loved both side dishes. With the two pieces of garlic buttered bread it was well worth the cost both quantity and quality wise. They have four sauces available and my faves are the original and sweet sauce. Like I said this location is fairly new and attractive both inside and outside. It also has a nice covered outdoor patio for dining too. It was another great City BBQ meal for me. I am a fan.

We've visited quite a number of City Barbeque's over the years and this is one of the tidiest stores we've dined at. Store is new'ish so very clean and tidy. Folks working here were super nice and informative. I ask questions, they smile and answer. We order or normal pound of brisket(50/50 of point and flat), two sides and the lovely Mrs likes the sweet test they offered at City BBQ. My only issue anymore is just how much this is costing nowadays. It used to be a $25 meal three or four years ago but now it's closer to $40 so makes coming to any city bbq more of a treat than a norm. People running the store were very friendly and the food was tasty though so that's a plus.

After seeing this place after driving by a few times, I decided to give it a whirl. I'm going to separate out by item what I ordered:Fries: 4/5. skin on, perfectly salted, maybe a touch undercooked, but I prefer a softer fry.Mac and cheese: 1/5. Very disappointed. No flavor cheese sauce over elbow macaroni. Would never get again.Sausage: 4/5. Great smoky texture and flavor with a slight spicy flavor.Brisket: 3/5. Perfectly average brisket. Not too dry, but no wow factor for me.Pulled pork: 3/5. An average taste. Nothing special here.If you're "craving" bbq, nothing wrong with stopping here. However, you could do better other places in my opinion.

Sure, it's a chain but don't let that stop you from good food. For me, they have the best fried pickles in the Dayton area. The meats are always flavorful and juicy, and then they have several sauce options depending on what BBQ style you like.

I love good BBQ but find some places get the flavor and smoke right, but the meat is dry. City BBQ does both just right. Their service is fast and the gentleman at the order counter is always so friendly. He literally makes my day when I go in to get lunch. Good array of sauces from mild to wild and plenty of small cups to try them all. I generally get the baked beans as a solid choice. Potato salad is good but I prefer a mustard base usually. Hush puppies are also good. Who doesn't love fried bread balls? They do them right. Crispy with soft center and always hot!Join the Rewards club and get $5 off and some free sides.
