Really kind of small, appreciated parking right next to the building though. We were the only ones there other than workers, which was great during the pandemic. Not a TON to see, but there's enough and some interactive displays for kids. We lasted about an hour. Probably a one time only sort of thing, but we are glad we went :)

The new Fire House Museum is open to the public. When you walk in the first thing you see is old firetrucks just don't TOUCH. They have a fire truck cut up for kids and adults to take pics in. It was very nice to see all the history of Cincinnati firemen. They have 3 floors of history of firemen to see.

As a historian with experience working in museums and a parent I'm of two minds. Overall, I think this place is wonderful, minus a few things that, honestly, are a struggle for lots of museums. The space isn't huge but super well curated with plenty of space to wander around and look at everything from different angles. However, the exhibit is way too text-heavy. As an educator, I get the urge to share as much as possible of the information we are so excited about. Except, boards with columns and columns of text, often in the firmst of timelines -- literally the very format that made most of us hate history in school -- are not the way to accomplish that. There may be people who have the patience (likely no one under 25) and the time (likely no one bringing a child) to read it all. But overall, being more selective and arranging the information in more creative ways would make this fascinating history a lot more accessible. That being said, the museum is great for kids! I brought my three-year-old, who, like many kids, is super into fire trucks, and the visit was a huge success! Between the beautifully maintained historical fire engines, the one that visitors can actually climb into, and the rescue scenes, this museum is really engaging. Hours later, my child is still talking about everything we saw!

A couple of days ago I took my family to the Cincinnati Fire Museum for our first visit. My grandfather was a Cincinnati Firefighter so it's a bit surprising that I never visited the museum before, at least not to my recollection, even though it has been open for at least as long as I've lived in Cincinnati. The fire museum is located in a restored 1907 firehouse, the Court Street Firehouse, which sits at 315 West Court Street. The Court Street Firehouse is a registered historic building, listed in the National Register on July 18, 1974.There are a few hands on exhibits for children, including an awesome modern fire engine cabin with functioning sirens and flashing lights. I couldn't figure out how to get the lights to turn on, but leave it to our two-year-old who had them all flashing in no time.Over 200 years of firefighting history is on display in the Cincinnati Fire Museum. Exhibits include examples of early leather fire buckets that all citizens were required to own and maintain, a massive 1808 fire drum that was used to sound the alarm in the event of a fire, and the oldest surviving fire engine in Cincinnati.Another awesome family fun activity is taking a slide down the fireman's pole. Trey had never done this before, so I had to give him a quick demonstration before helping him take a few slides. We could have easily spent more than the hour we dedicated for this trip. There is a lot of historical information that can take some time to read through. But with low admission prices it is easy to justify a quick trip as well.

My family went to the fire museum today since my nephew wants to be a fireman when he grows up. The museum was enjoyable but the woman working was rude and did not make us feel welcome at all. It made what could have been an amazing experience just meh.

Terrific place! Fantastic displays of Cincinnati history and pride. If you are a Firefighter it is free entry and be sure to bring your Fire Department's patch for them to display on the wall. Great experience will definitely be back.

Great little museum with a lot of historical artifacts. It's well worth a visit. The building itself is an old firehouse with original interior. There are many types of fire apparatuses on display including several fire trucks.

My husband is a firefighter in Felton, DE. We came here before the Pete Rose ceremony at the Reds game. My husband loved hearing and seeing about Cincinnati and there firefighters. It's a small museum, but had great artifacts. We parked across the street and was afraid I would get towed because the museum doesn't have there own parking.

Very very small museum. There were 2 old fire cars inside and one historic fire vehicle, which was interesting. The rest of the exhibition is extremely modest and takes very little time to tour. Perhaps more interesting for small wanna-be-firefighter children. We were glad to have purchased the Groupon, would have been disappointing topay full price...
