I came to check these guys out for the inaugural Cincy Wing Week. They were parked in front of the Growler stop the entire week for the occasion. I placed my order and ran in to explore the beer while it was cooked order. They were out of a few things because wing week had been good to them, but they had most of what I wanted to try. To start I got the goetta bites. They were crispy and not greasy at all. The inside was flavorful goetta-goodness. On the side was some of the best aioli I have had. Next up was the blueberry buffalo wings. If you know or follow me, I love everything blueberry. EVERYTHING. The wings themselves had a decent amount of meat, but were a little bit fatty. The sauce was for sure a winner with a nice combo of sweet and spice. I love smoked everything, but these perhaps could have used a tad bit less smoke. I finished off the meal with some deep fried cheesecake. I dont know how they did it, but the outside was perfectly crispy (no grease) and the inside was perfectly cheesecakey. I even put a little of the blueberry buffalo sauce on top. YUM! I look forward to finding these guys again to try their brisket mac and cheese which was the only thing I missed out on! Great business, great guys!

Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. We decided to check Cin-Ci-Que out because of Cincinnati Wing Week. Their blueberry buffalo wings piqued our interest. We decided to try both the blueberry, and the golden buffalo. Sauce for the blueberry buffalo is smokey, tangy, and has a heat that once it grabbed hold of me, did not want to quit. We all found the sauce to be too overpowering; on all the aforementioned points. The golden buffalo was much more cordial. It was a sweeter sauce than the blueberry, and was less smokey. Chicken itself was tender. Menu is a greatest hits off bbq favorites. (See pictures.) They offer brisket, chicken, pork, with various sides and desserts. Items that are easy to house in a food truck. (No ribs.) There is even a children's menu. The bbq is not cooked on site. When they run out, they really run out. Cin-Ci-Que resides in the parking lot shared with The Growler Stop and a Marathon Gas station. Plenty of parking is available. Being a food truck, no seating is available. Food from Cin-Ci-Que may be eaten inside of the Growle Stop if you are stopping in there for a drink. The Growler Stop has limited outdoor and bar seating.

I found this truck parked out in front of the Growler Stop in Newtown today so I decided to stop by and check them outIf I could give them a 3.5 rating, I'd generally be inclined to do so, but of course we can't do anything but full stars, and for me it was the value proposition that pulled the needle towards 3 instead of 4. To put this another way - as with most trucks I review, i felt the prices were just a bit too high for the product being delivered. That said, I fully realize that a truck operator would probably tell me that the reduction I'd like to see represents much if not all of their profit margin; and I do get that.so that said, on with the review. Food is pretty much brisket, pulled pork, and wings; with a few sides (including fries, baked beans, and an interesting sounding pineapple slaw) and a couple of fried desserts. they have a nice $1 a wing special on Thursday evening but I arrived about an hour or so too early so I didn't try the wings. What I did try was the pulled pork sandwich which includes an order of fries for $9, and I choose to upgrade the fries to the mac n cheese for a dollar upcharge.I was glad to hear the pulled pork came unsauced, tho by default the sauce is added to the pork when it is finished on their flattop before serving. I was offered the option to have the sauce (carolina/ga yellow gold, red, or three levels of hot wing sauce) put on the side, which is what I went with. It was fairly tasty and decently moist but there were more chunks of pure fat than I generally get with such an item. I'd like a little more smoke (I am quibbling here) but a lot of folks like less, so np. The main problems for me is that the bun was of low quality and slightly stale, and I have gotten a lot more meat elsewhere for a lower price. Taken by itself tho, the pork was pretty good. The mac and cheese was decent. I will give them credit for not cooking it into mush as many places do.....this was toothsome and firm. That said, while it was creamy, the cheese flavor was just barely there.....it was more like mac and cream sauce. Also, oil was starting to separate from the product, so it seemed to me like this had been sitting for a whileService was quick and very polite; and there is plenty of free parking at the Growler Stop locationI do want to revisit this place at a future date as there seems to be some serious potential, but for now, I have to go with a 3.

This was our first experience with their food truck which was parked next to "The Growler Stop" in Newtown. He said that he was all out of brisket and mac-n-cheese. I ordered a kids' size order of pulled pork Bar-B-Que with their pineapple slaw side for my wife. I ordered a Cincicuban sandwich with Bourbon Baked Beans as the side. Once the food was prepared and put into styrofoam containers, I drove 5 miles to my house. My wife said that the Bar-B-Que meat was very salty. The Pineapple Slaw side was over 3/4 all red onion slices with very little slaw. My sandwich came on garlic toast, which by the time it got home was extremely soggy and hard to hold. It was supposed to have a Golden Mustard sauce, I could not taste. I was grateful that I did not order the fried pickles. The bourbon beans tasted like it came straight from a can, warmed, and put into a small cup. In fact they were so watery that I just picked up serving cup and drank the beans. Without naming the brand on the likely bean can, I think the dog on the commercial would be upset with the way beans were served. I did see other patrons getting Bar-B-Que chicken wings and another Cuban sandwich order. but my experience was clearly different from theirs. Guess we will wait for that other Bar-B-Que truck to be open again.
