Charlos

Was excited to stop by for lunch after seeing their billboard advertisement and they did not disappoint. They serve great, fresh food that is thoughtfully prepared. The portobello mushrooms were amazing and enough for two lunches. The catfish po' boy was equally tasty and generous. The bread was soft, vegetables fresh and catfish was fried perfect. Can't wait for my friends and I to meet there for dinner next month. Great job, Charlos!!

Laid back atmosphere with good food and good beer! If we were local we would frequent this place! We will be back when we are traveling through!

Simply amazing and delicious. Food and service were excellent. Stopped in on a Monday night staying downtown and not a lot of options to choose from.

The prices were very inexpensive but the portions are small. I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was more like a slider. The chicken was not very big and i was as surprised. I would rather pay more for heartier portions. The home made chips were really good. Service was slow but very friendly. I would return but choose different options or get appetizer.

These egg rolls were amazing!!! Had the chicken salad as well and my son had a delicious burger!! A great place to try!!!

Was looking for a different place to try for dinner on a Monday...we had been to Charlos for lunch a few months ago and decided why not especially with half price wine on Monday ‍‍....we had the strip steak with Au gratin potatoes and it was delicious! Fried green tomato appetizer was very nice as well! Extra crispy panko green tomato with pimento cheese!...the fried chicken was also excellent especially the peppercorn gravy !!

I don't know what it is but Charlos has it. The food was great! I've been coming to Springfield for 20 years and this is the best food I've ever had here (even beating out the family cooking). There's no draft beer but I'm finding out that Ohio is not lacking for quality beer and Charlos has beers from several local(ish) breweries. The kitchen has their stuff together, man. The presentation and flavors were top notch. The plating was basic but matched the decor of the interior. I tried a little bit of everything and nothing was a miss. I know I'll be running clean up on whatever my kids order so I just got the Nashville chicken tenders as a main plate and I quite enjoyed them. I appreciate that my server indicated that some people think that they're hot and get the sauce on the side but I'm a big boy and I can handle the sauce directly on the tenders. Everything tasted great! I'm here for ya, Springfield. If you build it, I'll spend my money when I visit.

Was in town for a show and yelped out this gem. We all got something different, and most everything was amazing. I had a burger and sweet potato fries. Burger was great, 9/10. Fries were average, 6/10. Paired it with a Blake's cider, can't ever go wrong with a cider. Boyfriend got the catfish po'boy, added the Nashville hot sauce to it. Devoured it, rated it a 10/10. Friends got the brisket egg rolls, 10/10. Nashville chicken, 8/10. Mac and cheese, don't waste your time. And pierogis, 9/10. Even though the restaurant was super small, and limited seating, food still took a minute to come out, but was definitely worth the wait. Service was fantastic. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful meal here tonight. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They were very good, mainly because of the tasty pimento cheese & red pepper sauce. For my entree, I had the fried catfish. It was very good as well. It was served with more of the red pepper sauce, cheddar grits & steamed broccoli. For my husband's entree, he had the brisket served on a bed of macaroni & cheese. It was excellent. The restaurant had a very good vibe. Very trendy & also classy.

We wanted a place halfway between Dayton and Columbus to meet our son. Charlo's was perfect! We were seated immediately around 11:30 on a Saturday morning and started with the fried green tomatoes and Nashville hot chicken appetizers to share. Chicken was good but the fried tomatoes are served with pimiento cheese and red pepper jelly...the combination was a heavenly mix of crunch, creamy, and sweet spicy! I would order it every day. We also had the catfish po'boy (very tasty with yummy tartar sauce), the fried chicken sandwich, and the Cobb salad with a scoop of chicken salad. If you like chicken salad, you will love theirs! I am so happy we found Charlo's!
