Chappy's Bourbon and Bites

Located on Main Street, downtown Milford which has been an up an coming hot spot for dining and and boutique shopping. Chappy's offers a place to hang out with friends, host a decent size party or just want to catch a game on TV. For alternative entertainment they have one pool table, Large Jenga game, Dart and a giant Connect Four game. If you no longer want to sit at a bar, you can venture to a sitting area located in the front of the bar. Also, there is outside seating as well. Great variety of bourbons such as Wild Turkey, Four Roses and Makers Mark. They also have a great selection of draft beers as well. They do have a food menu. I didn't see anyone ordering food so not sure if it's delicious! Oh and one more important detail to mention. You will find public parking conveniently located diagonally to Chappy's. Definitely would visit again.

I love going to Chappy's to watch games, have a drink and hang out. Everyone working there is always so nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend stopping in.

The staff was as unpleasant as the food was. We also watched as the musical entertainment, who had already set up and had people coming in, was asked to leave without playing or getting paid because the bar hadn't maid enough money earlier that afternoon. Your money is better spent somewhere else. Go somewhere that will treat you like they actually want you there.

Oh Chappy's! You are such a good local bar. Nothing pretentious. Not even the bourbon... which very well could be.You can play some pool, take over the juke box (like we do!) or, just hang at the bar and talk with friends. It is an easy-going kind of place.The menu was being re-vamped when we visited. So, I don't want to review something that won't be available anymore.However, we have purchased a flight of bourbons and went with the flavored assortment. My fave was maple flavored. I also get Woodford Reserve. I don't care for the "burn" and Woodford Reserve was mild.Chappy's does have bands come and play. It will get loud because the band is "right there". There isn't a stage or a different room. Hopefully, they can stay competitive with the new brewery and a "soon to be" distillery down the road. I like the low key vibe, but they may need to step up their game. Upgrade and refresh the place and do a little bit of marketing (differentiate with bourbon).

The last time we were there, we were the only ones in the whole place and I felt so guilty because the bartender was also the cook. It wasn't a great experience and we didn't stay long. Total dive.

Have Alex make your drink. This is my regular place and they have the best old fashioned as well as many other mixed bourbon drinks.

Worst experience at a bar we have EVER had. Bartender was too busy showing photos on his phone to the locals to fill our beer glasses that sat empty for 10+ minutes. Then charged us for at least 4 drinks more than we had. When I raised a question about it he just nodded his head. What was a nice little after work bar turned into highway robbery. Sad.

Love Chappys! Good hometown bar atmosphere. I can appreciate a good dive bar, and it's really the only one in Old Milford. Cheryl is great. Dog friendly.

$11 for 2 (12 oz) domestic drafts..nope. your bar ain't that cool. Too many other places to give my hard earned cash to.

This review is true and is coming from someone who has more bourbon in their basement than this place. The place has an "aroma" to it and when I walked in I felt like John Taffer from "Bar Rescue" was going to be following behind me very soon. I order a draft beer-which was about 45 degrees warm that I sent back for a bottle of bud lite. My friend ordered a knob's creek bourbon. We ordered the loaded cheese fries to start and were planning on making a nite of it and getting more food and drinks but the fries arrived and I counted, yes counted 32 French fries with a touch of cheese and about 25 bacon bits. Bottom line, this place sucks and needs updated badly, cleaned and a new theme. Very lacking in all areas.
