In Cincinnati, while visiting Findlay Market, a friend said I should hit up this Cuban place for a good sandwich. I heard positive things about the food and the owner from two people who live here. There is not much seating here. There are a few stools, but they are not that comfortable. My older mother couldn't sit on them. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside. Luckily, it was nice and we were able to eat across the street outside the market and grab a beer at the external bar. We grabbed a mix of food items. The El Cubano was delicious and filling! I couldn't taste the mustard too much, but the meat was well seasoned. The bread is crispy and soft all at the same time! I would definitely get another one. The empanadas exceeded expectations. We had one chicken and one beef. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy! The crust on the empanadas is flaky but soft, very well done. The beef was more savory and a little less juicy than the chicken. They both tasted great. We had green sauce, which helped make both even better. The yuca fries were the best I've ever had. Skinny enough to not be too gummy or dense. I only wish I got more. They were delicious in the green sauce. I'm not sure if the sauce was for the yuca or the empanadas, but it was phenomenal on both. Prices were decent. Staff was friendly. The food didn't take long. I'm not sure about other Cuban food in Cincy, but this is pretty solid.

Amazing food prepared fresh! Bold, delicious flavors are VERY good. Small seating area inside, and some sidewalk tables available. Dishes are often presented with flowers for an unnecessary (but appreciated!) flair. The sandwiches are perfect in flavor, texture, temperature, freshness. Just go get something, ANYTHING, from this place, you will not regret it. Delicious!

So incredibly delicious. Stop by if you're in the area, and you won't be disappointed. Cubano and flan to start the day was pretty perfect! I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Delicious Cuban sandwiches. I always get them in Miami and these taste just like the kind you get down there. This sandwich also nails down the ratio of bread to meat and cheese well, it's not too meaty which I liked. They also use real Cuban bread and not some other kind that I see at other places. The Yuca was also fried well, sometimes it can be undercooked but that's not the case here. The sauces were also good. I didn't care for the taquitos, those didn't taste like the kind I had in Miami. Overall the food was great, but one thing that happened was when I picked up my order I walked out only to find out they didn't have the Yuca I paid for. I came back in, and they realized they never put the order in. They didn't acknowledge the mistake and just said to wait.So they had to start to fry it, which took over 10-15 minutes. They didn't rush it either. They saw I was waiting but the yuca was finished and they still let it sit out for a lil bit before I got my Yuca. By that time, my Cuban sandwich was already cold, and anyone who knows how to eat a Cuban sandwich properly is you have to eat it straight out of the press while it's hot and the cheese is melted.

Authentic Cuban food at reasonable prices. The food was hot and delicious and made fresh after ordering. The place is located in OTR across from Findlay Market. Nestled so well you might miss it when you drive by but it's definitely worth a stop. This small shop has a few spots inside but plenty of outside seating and is perfect for a nice afternoon lunch. The staff were nice and engaged us in conversation while preparing our food. They answered questions and told us the history of the pictures located around the restaurant. This was a delightful experience for even the skeptical eater.Tips to make your visit a success:1) Not just sandwiches. The Yuca fries and Tostones were amazing and a must try when you go for a nice side or pre sandwich tasty bite.2) Get a dessert. Not to be missed is their Tres Leches cake or Flan. Save room for dessert and you won't be disappointed.Cuban sandwich shops have come to Cincinnati try Chacabanas today.

Chacabanas serves amazing Cuban food. Have stopped by 3 or 4 times for a Cubano and yucca fries. Oh, man, this is authentic. We bring home and throw half a sandwich and 3 yucca fries in the air frier and enjoy. One of my favorite spots in Cincinnati.
