What a great gem of an Italian restaurant- and I have high expectations as I lived in Italy for a year.We were staying across the street and we were so impressed that we ate at the restaurant two days in a row! The arancini are excellent! The Pasta was very tasty as well. The side salad was a very generous portion. Where do I start with the pizzas???

I recently moved to Fairfield and was looking for great restaurants nearby because my experience of Fairfield is that it's filled with mediocre chain restaurants. My family went to Caruso's last night for dinner and I was thrilled. I wish I had know about this place years ago. It was wonderful. The food was fantastic. I would have travelled a great distance to eat here had I known about it. And the drinks were fantastic too. We had the raspberry margaritas and a cappuccino martini that were exceptional.

This is a decent modern Italian restaurant. I thought it was going to be one of those Old World places that has been around for generations, but I was wrong. (The original location is like that, but this location is less than 10 years old.). The music is definitely more clubby than Dean Martin too.The arancini were OK. They had a weird taste which we attributed to the garlic ranch on top.The gnocchi were pretty good and the bolognese sauce was quite tasty. However the tattoo of gnocchi to sauce was way off. If I lived in town, I would have taken the extra v sauce home, make some penne, and had 2 more meals out of it.

I really enjoyed eating fresh pasta at this place. I wanted to try both the Alfredo and tomato sauce and he was able to recommend a chicken parm with Alfredo pasta. I will say the meal was great. I hope they expand on their menu, would like to try different sauces and dishes but overall it was a great experience.

The food is good but a bit higher in price the. I think is standard. The pizza was a little overwhelming on the blu cheese but overall good. At $12 the veggies were WAY overpriced. I would say they should have not been over $6.00 for the portion. Food cost on that was maybe $2.00 (and that's being generous) so a $10 up charge seems excessive. Bread should be included at every restaurant that is at this level. Or at least 1 set should be included. Would have loved to have a side salad but I believe it was $11. Again, a bit overpriced so I did not order it. The server was efficient so, nothing to speak of there. We asked for a regular table in our reservation but was sat at a high top, worked out okay as well, but just not what we requested. I would not return if I am paying. If someone wants to treat me to dinner, I would go back, but it's not a first choice. It's also a bit loud.

We went to Caruso's once again for dinner as the last time everything was superb. Service was impeccable and attentive. I will admit delivery was a bit slow. Having said that, I will give that a pass as this is a scratch kitchen with orders made ready as ordered. Our food was delivered, all at the same time and piping hot. I had Rigatoni Diablo which was delicious. Although the menu says this item is spicy I did not find it to be overly spicy. My wife and son in law had Lasagna and were pleased with their selection. My daughter had Spaghetti and Meatballs which looked very good to me. The Pasta was cooked perfectly "Al Dente". My overall impression, once again. is this restaurant knows what they are doing.

Dined at Caruso's on Friday night and returned two days later for Sunday dinner. Taylor waited on us on Friday and she provided excellent service. Most pics were from Friday because we largely ordered a repeat on Sunday. I snapped a pic of the margarita pizza app from Sunday. Sam served us on Sunday and again we received excellent service from him.Caruso's is a solid choice for a reasonably priced Italian dinner. They offer a full bar, which we enjoyed.I was thrilled our family agreed to return for Sunday dinner. Yes, I ordered the exact entree (gnocchi Bolognese) as did Mark (fig and pig pizza). On the return, I asked for a double order of the gnocchi (and extra bread) so that I'd have leftovers for Monday lunch. There was nothing left on Monday! Bread service is fantastic. No pic as I think I hit the 10 photo limit. Add some marinara. You might want more butter as you'll eat lots of bread. It's delicious bread no matter where you are but, I recommend it and I'm a bit of a bread snob.Hubby ordered shrimp scampi first time and chicken parm second time. Both were well-received. Lots of apps first time: arancini, fried/toasted ravs, and meatballs. All were good. We enjoyed the donuts and tiramisu for dessert along with Sambuca as after-dinner drinks. The bar has seating, high-top tables, nice music and booths. There is standard seating. It appears that when the weather is nice there is outdoor seating. It was too cold for us to enjoy it.Yes, I'll return next trip to #cincy

Service was excellent but the food was average. Charging for bread is different considering most restaurants don't. Understand the bread comes from a specialty vendor but it isn't anything special. One of our party ordered the Minestrone soup but it was more of a bean soup. My shrimp scampi was OK, three shrimp and peas and noodle combination which is different. I have had better. I think Caruso's wants to advertise to being upscale Italian but we found it average at best.

I've been here three times now, so I can definitely say that this restaurant is absolutely amazing!! Inside the round building (the shell of the old Spinning Forchetta restaurant) it's comfortable and spacious. The servers are timely and very efficient. When I hosted 17 friends here one waitress almost single-handedly took the orders, brought the food, busked the table and even, by request, took pictures of us from 3 of our cameras. One interesting wrinkle was their new policy on the bread. It's not gratis anymore. You pay a minimal charge for it, but then they bring enough bread for the entire table, and refill it throughout the meal as needed for no additional cost. And then there's the food: It seems very "old school" here. It's not the Americanized Italian food we're accustomed to -- it's much much better. For example, the "fig and pig pizza" was a visual disappointment to me: it didn't have tomato sauce or cheese, and the flattened round of cooked dough in front of me didn't even have the traditional mound of ingredients on it. But once I dug in I experienced the most flavorful mouthful of food I've had in my life (no exaggeration here). Yes, it was more of a flatbread than a pizza, but it was a sophisticated combination of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors. In fact, with only one exception, each dish I've had here has become my new favorite taste. The toasted ravioli appetizers, once cut, absolutely oozed with green (!!!) cheesy goodness. The Pappardalle Mushroom Ragu was tender and savory. The lasagna was a cheesy surprise -- instead of layers of noodles it consisted of a single lasagna noodle on the top and bottom, with a thick pie-like ricotta filling in the middle. And Rick's Spicy Sausage Pizza had a wonderful spicy zing that danced on your tongue. All topped off by the epic carrot cake, that had an unexpected spicy taste to it -- I think it was a good hit of cloves, topped by a perfect cream cheese icing. The one dish I didn't like was the salmon, as I thought the fish was dry. But they graciously agreed to substitute spaghetti for the risotto on the menu, and the "blush sauce" on it made up for any irregularities with the fish. All in all, a real treasure of a restaurant I'll return to again and again.

Business brings my husband and I to Ohio for a week. With that, while he works I have the pleasure of scouting "what's for dinner?" On this particular evening he wanted steak and I wanted pasta. After some time scrolling reading reviews and choosing this spot based on the food pics. I chose this Caruso's Ristorante & Bar. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and asked if we had a reservation and no we didn't this was Nov 21@ 6pm we had no wait and were seated right away. We had a great waiter and great food. See below what we chose from the menu.
