Canal Street Arcade and Deli

Arcade games, a great beer list and delicious sandwiches makes this a must visit. We stopped in a couple times during our last trip and really enjoyed ourselves. The arcade games are fun and the sandwiches are so so good. Freshly made and generous portions.

Wait...amazing sandwiches, full bar and arcades? Yes please! I love me a good sandwich and when the sandwiches aren't skimping in the meat department, that basically seals the deal. Add in some delicious cheese, toasted and buttery bread, Canal St. Elevates your typical sandwich experience into a glorious satisfaction with every bite. So much so I'm salivating as I'm writing this review.A staff member recommended his top two sandwiches and I opted for both. I tried a South Paw, which had a bountiful amount of cheese and meat. Paired with a crunchy bread and bbq sauce, each bite made my taste buds dance itself to the next bite until I realized I devoured the whole thing wanting more.the bbq sauce wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and the meat, cheese and crispy/buttery bread really helped keep the flavors all balanced. The other sandwich I tried was the Summer Jam, which also was a very enjoyable sandwich. I love me some pesto and these sandwiches couldn't be more different in terms of flavor but equally as tasty! While enjoying these delicious sammies, I got to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. As for the rest of the staff, equally so. Next time I visit Dayton, I know where I'll be visiting again :)

Super cool deli / bar / pinball joint! Great unique food and sides with a lot of both carnivore and vegetarian options! Really cool vibe and nice staff.

I love a good sandwich and they have some solid choices while having a good beer and playing some video games. It was nice reminiscing about all the great music I've seen at this place and it still had a fun vibe.

Pretty chill spot!Good food, lots of games, all retro, limited seating, and parking is weird but otherwise pretty cool spot. Bar with a full array and a bunch of pinball if you like that.

This joint is outta sight - awesome and stellar cool, can you dig it? It is truly a bar, deli, and arcade under one roof. Five stars for every aspect of this experience:Bar- comfortable seats, purse hooks, friendly fast service, local craft beers, IPAs, plus old favorites. Full bar. Barmaid was very customer focused and cheerful. Happy crowd. Prices about right for downtown. There's tables if the bar is full, as well as a comfy raised seating area with couches. You can order your food either from the barkeep or at the deli counter.Deli- amazing huge sandwiches, dazzling variety. Something for every taste. Hot and cold. Breakfast all day. BOARS HEAD meats which you can also purchase sliced and believe me, I got some roast beef to go. We each had the Polish sausage 'Kraut Rock' style. Delectable and the fresh baked sub roll was very special. Arcade - man what a blast to see and experience so many game machines! I think there were nine pinball machines, plus an assortment of classics like Defender, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, auto racing, and more. There's a change machine to get quarters for pinball (as well ad for the parking meters). You only have to pay for the pinball (75 c) - the other games are free!I look forward to coming here often, and you should, too.

Stopped here for some sandwiches, my first experience here was on a bar crawl and I heard great things about the sandwiches. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and helpful with answering my dad's many questions about the sandwiches. He got The Champ and I tried the Italian. My sandwich was good but I think the next time, I will definitely get The Champ, it was pretty tasty. It is a cool spot with arcade games, drinks, and good sandwiches so I will be back for sure.

Decent selection of pinball games and a good bar, plenty of beer and good service. I'd recommend this place for a little break from your day

This is a bar/deli/arcade all in one. I have come here several times for take-out lunch and once for drinks at night. The lunch options are pretty decent. The prices for sandwiches are all around $9-10 but they have very generous portions and amount of meat. I got the italian sandwich which was pretty standard. They gave a lot of meat and there were different ingredients like banana peppers and roasted tomatoes. I have also had the other options which were always a satisfying choice for lunch. The arcade area is cool and they have free games as well as some coin/quarter games. Overall it is a very casual vibe with good selection.4.5 stars.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff,one of my favorite places. Made friends, great music,something for everyone. Can't forget the food.its a must to get.love this place.
