Seen quite a few changes over the years. (The brewery scene is not what it was). Seen staff come n go. We went through a lean time where the food just wasn't worth going as often. BUT NOW the food is awesome n we're back w a vengeance!!! Have a great time w the bartenders as we always have. For us it's nice to be back home!!!Thanks Kenny n Brady for fixing things! Do yourself a favor and visit! There's something for everyone! CHEERS! JC"

I had the sautéed seasonal fish with crab. It was the perfectly sized portion with a nice presentation. The rest of our group enjoyed their selections as well. The old fashioned was tasty. There was quite a big selection of teas for my husband. We were too full for dessert. Maybe next time!My only minor gripe is the charge for valet parking. I'm of the belief that when you are at a fine dining establishment, valet parking should be free (with a tip, of course)."

We ended up having salmon, fried cod with panko crumbs and fried cod in standard breading. Service was ok but their menu is now more sandwiches and burgers and soups. Didn't expect for dinner."

It was the hash browns. She brought that to me shortly after that. Kept coffee refilled as i dined. Good food- eggs over hard, ham slice, hash browns, sourdough toast( i can't find that often!). Choice of creamers for my coffee, and she brought a small bowl filled with them. She brought ketchup for the hash browns when she served them without having to ask. Orange marmalade was great on the sourdough toast. She also brought me an extra spoon when i asked, as the one I had I was using for marmalade, needed one for coffee. I dined on a Saturday morning after a busy work week, felt like treating myself."

Tiffany D. "I came to The Phoenix for two separate events. One was for The Best of Cincinnati and the other was for their 2nd Annual Breakfast with Santa event. The Phoenix is perfect for events as it is huge and spacious. It has tons of rooms and different floors that different events can be hosted on. The Best of Cincinnati was a good event. It was a foodie event filled with tons of samples and giveaways from the best food places in Cincinnati. It was a cool and nice way to see what companies are here as well as enjoy some old favorites. The Breakfast with Santa was super cute, small and fun! Apparently it's their second year and they had a better turn out. You have brunch with your kids/family sitting with others you may or may not know, and have a buffet style brunch. After each family gets to take a picture with Santa. The kids can color, decorate sugar cookies, and have a little group time with Santa. Group time consisted of questions from the kids as well as story time. It was perfect for my 2-year old and my husband as it was good family time. We all enjoyed ourselves. Our daughter was the youngest but she interacted well with the older kids. They were sweet to her and everyone had a good time. My only complaint about the brunch or suggestion rather would be to consider an omelette station and waffle station next year. Everything was served in a warmer and some items like eggs and waffles aren't good in a warmer. They get dried out. A person manning an egg and waffle station would have been perfect. The cost is $30 per adult and $18 per child. It is a little on the pricy side but it is fun. I would also say with the price a manned egg and waffle satiation is a must. The other good perk is they do let you take goodies home. There was tons of sweets leftover from the brunch station and they allowed the guest to take some of the goodies home in to-go boxes. Pretty cool! Overall, it was a fun family experience."

Jayme H. "I've only been to the Madison Theater once and I was there for Tape B, an EDM artist whom I love, and the show did not disappoint. The theater is located in a nice area with many bars and restaurants nearby. I stopped in a brewery and dive bar before heading there and all were in walking distance. The line to get in moved fairly quickly and once inside I went straight to the bathroom and then to the bar to grab a drink before settling in. The restroom was small, but not terribly unsightly and the bar was also small with pretty long lines. Nothing too crazy to report there. I'll also add that my ticket was around $40, which was cheaper than the other two venues I recently saw the same artist at in other cities in Ohio. That's a win. I would definitely describe myself as a pit girl so I made my way down the stairs to get front and center for the show. The sound and production was all really great. All in all, I would totally catch another show here if an artist I love happens to be playing here that I can't catch in Columbus."

Only a few people in he restaurant since it was late afternoon. Prices were very reasonable. My son and i each ordered the 4 strip and 2 side meals. The specialty of the house is chicken. They also recommended the waleye sandwich and reuben. Cheese stick appertizer was amazing. They are either mozzarella or pepperjack. They are the fattest ones i have ever had. The waitress said they are a specialty as well. The restaurant is an old barn that used to be a party hall. Sweet tea was super sweet, very Southern. Great service. Lots of televisions with sports."

Gloria Z. "Loved every detail of this experience. My dining zone encompasses a huge geographic area, spanning at least four counties (kind of like the Cincinnati Elite Squad territory). I've been to many different places in the past two years, and I make bold to place the P&P in the top five.First the atmosphere- a very real-feeling homage to the Prohibition era. Floors are wood, walls are brick, seats are leather, lights are low and have an early 20th century look. The whole place captures this vibe. No televisions except for a flat screen on a far wall running silent shorts of 90 years past. Jazz, ragtime and other popular music of the day was in the background. I felt transported back in time and I loved it.Service was excellent. Hostess, manager, server were very polished, soft spoken and professional. Our waitress was Shelby, who answered questions, explained menu, made suggestions and checked on us in a timely manner. All the serving staff were in an understated uniform of beige shirt, dark pants and a butcher apron. One of them was sporting a newsboy cap. Their appearance and comportment added to the charming old time ambiance. Speaking of appearance I'm glad we dressed up a bit. It felt right. You want to put on a bit of the Ritz here. The cocktails! Don't come here for Sex on the Beach or a Jaegerbomb. They haven't been invented yet! Have a Manhattan, Gin Fizz or my choice, the Giggle Flower. Sweet and ladylike but with a subtle punch. The cocktail menu is intriguing and fun. The food! They start you off with a dish of house pickles, nice crunchy garlicky little half sour slices. A refreshing change from a bread basket and great if you are cutting carbs. I had the Red Light Chicken and Waffles. Amazing. Chicken so moist, breading crackly crisp and flavorful, waffle thick and eager to soak up the Cajun maple drizzle which was a perfect spicy-sweet balance. My husband had the Southern Gump, I tasted the thinly sliced sausage which was delicious, and the grits, infused with scallion, were so creamy almost like polenta. He would not share any shrimp. I liked the crisp tender texture of the Brussels sprouts, another nice alternative to the ubiquitous flash-fried/glazed prep that is everywhere. It could stand some more seasoning however. The slaw was light and crisp and went well with my dish.Hope to return very soon!"

Rachel R. "So this place can totally give you the wrong vibe, at all times throughout the night. It's almost like it's not sure what it wants to be... which makes it great!!When we first got there a little after 7:30 on a saturday night, and as soon as we walked in we wondered if we were at the right place, and if being in jeans, no matter the heals or dress shirts, if we were grossly underdressed. One of the hosts told the other a table number and we told him we were just looking for the bar. Around to the right he directed us, and as we turned the corner, the thoughts we had at the door grew stronger. but we found some seats at the bar, and the bartender immediately put our mind at ease. The show doesn't normally start until 8:30 but they're trying to get started sooner especially if there's a lot of people here. So we ordered some drinks, and then discovered they have Buckets, or as the bartender put it, "buckets of booze" that were themed to the place as well. We ordered a Heading for the Border, that was like a giant margarita, and under $17 dollars, and totally worth it. The drinks are reasonable, and it seems the crowd really picks up after 9-9:30, and you realize there's people from all walks of life here. Old, young, classy, normal, it doesn't matter. The pianos are positioned right down the middle of the place with the tables/restaurant on one side and the bar, with some stage side seating on the other. There's some really nice private rooms in the back for parties, gatherings, and what not. There is also a seperate smoking room to the left when you first walk in that has doors on it and windows so you can see the stage if you need to take a smoke break without going outside, or invading anyone elses breathing area. I definately want to give this place a try for a late dinner and stay for the show sometime. They play a bunch of different music, and if you really want them to play a song, tip them nicely and they'll get to it sooner. And it doesn't seem any song is too new, too old, or too wierd for them."

Some well know NKY landmarks show up in miniature. Boone County Distillery, and the Florence water tower are part of what is represented. Scoops are available if your ball finds it's way into one of the water features. Along with mini golf, there is also a golf course, driving range, pro shop and snack bar. Driving range had some obstacles, targets set out. Snack bar offers various snacks, drinks and pizza. A youth golf team was sharing a selection of whole pizzas. The snack bar provided paper baskets for the kids to eat out of. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. Plenty of parking. Parking is both infront of World of Golf, and along the sides."

David C. "Anyone would be hard pressed to find another municipal course in SW Ohio (or anywhere) as picturesque and well managed as this entire operation (owned by the city of Springboro, I believe). The course boasts 4 levels of tee boxes on some of the prettiest land to be found around this area. There are lots of hills, swales, water holes, and it's immaculately groomed and challenging enough from the back tees to test even the pros. There is a stream running alongside maybe 6 or 7 of the holes with water that's so crystal clear you can see carp, minnows and bass on the prowl as if it was an aquarium. Lots and lots of mature trees, some of them specimens, line the course on numerous holes. There is a generous fairway landing area on all but 1 or 2 holes, where they pinch it in so much that an iron off the tee is the way to score. Big greens on every hole except #15 (wicked!)The restaurant and lower level bar and grill are A-ok also. There's a solid pro shop with much Heatherwoode branded gear; a nice changing room with lockers and showers; and plenty of water coolers on the course. Every time I play here, all facets of this operation run smoothly. The practice range, the putting green, and chipping areas are first class and then some; you have to see it to believe it, so impressive. Many private clubs can only wish their operation looks and plays like this one. Check out my picture of the new ball feeders on the practice range that actually tee up your practice balls automatically. WOW, I tried it and it's amazing. Why didn't someone think this up a decade ago? OK, I'm going golfing now."

Carolyn B. "We had my son's wedding reception here. A couple of things were disappointing for me. When all the guests arrived, they were supposed to have two bartenders and there was only one which meant out guests had to wait in a long while just to get their first drink. Their sound system is only good if you want to have a dance party there. Many of my friends said that they could not hear my speech as well as some of the other ones. I ended up having to send them a written copy of my speech later. While the speeches were given, they did not turn the music completely off. Then when the music played it was so loud that many our guests couldn't have a decent conversation. The final blow was that they ran out of the buffet food for a table of three very very dear couples. Very embarrassing. They hobbled something together but that is inexcusable especially since they said that they usually have so much food left over that they donate it. You can't do receptions over again."

The indoor ambience is more like a clubhouse than a bar, of course. But the outdoor veranda is gorgeous! We sat outside overlooking the course, drank cocktails and beer from plastic cups, selected good food (for the price!) from a basic menu of burgers with chips ($5),grilled cheese w/chips etc. Great casual, weekday evening with friends! With one week left on the certificate, I was disappointed that I couldn't fit the Saturday buffet in my scheduled and ended up there on a Sunday night. Luckily I didn't go out of my way to make it on a Saturday night because there is no longer a Saturday night seafood buffet. The restaurant is at the marina, which seemed appealing, but there is no view at all, which was disappointing. The food was good, I got the Sunday special - 12 oz prime rib for $15 and was happy. I wouldn't mind trying the Saturday night surf and turf sometime. I was a bit surprised that on a Sunday evening at 7:00pm we were the only customers. I don't think anyone was even at the bar.
