"My sister took advantage of the deal where you can rent the facility for your own private event on certain nights for approximately $300. I'm not sure if this is just something they've been offering due to the pandemic or not but the kids had a great time!! We had 13 kids there (family and a few friends) and there was plenty of room for them to run and play since they had the place to themselves. I believe ice cream was included for the kids and we paid extra for pizza and pretzel bites. The adults enjoyed hanging out at the tables while the kids played. I appreciate the opportunity for the kids to get to enjoy places like this in relative safety when they offer the private events. A great night all around."
"Recently attended a baby shower hosted at 611 Gathering Place. Plenty of street parking nearby and very easy to get to on Harrison Ave. We loved the eclectic vintage furniture and decor that really transform this space and make it stand apart from other "party room" type spaces. There was ample tables and counter spaces to serve food and host activities. Our primary complaint was the AC. If the AC was running, we couldn't tell. We didn't really have hot food aside from 1 crockpot, but with about 40 people in the space, it was quite warm inside. There are curtains that go partway across the storefront windows, but they only provide some shade and do not assist in keeping the room cool. Lighting may need to be improved because it would be a bit dark without the natural sunlight, but thicker curtains to help block the afternoon sun would be an improvement!"

"The Backstage Event Center is locates across from the Arnoff Center and above Horse and Barrel (door adjacent). I attended an after party for the Heart Mini here that was sponsored by my work. The space is open and inviting. I'm not sure what the capacity is but if definitely felt like if accommodated a decent number of people without cramping us together. The floor was perfect for dancing and the bars were easily accessible. The catering quality was good. We had three different types of sliders (pulled pork, ham and cheese, and veggie) all were good. They had an excellent selection of cheeses and the desserts were petite and fantastic (perfect size for trying a few). The Mac and Cheese was good but maybe a bit garlicky. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The service was friendly and efficient. This event center is definitely worth a look!"
"This course is absolutely beautiful. They keep this course clean and maintained. The guest service was helpful and the course offered great play. The greens were cut well and gave great play. I would recommend this for any golf outing."
"Such a nice and clean please! The bartender was very nice and pleasant! Good prices on alcohol, good selection as well. Nice fire pits on the patio!"
"This past weekend I attended a wedding at Carnegie Hall and it was wonderful. The hall is super nice and the location was perfect for a lot of us coming in without a car. I lived in Cincinnati for 4 years and I never even knew that the Carnegie Hall in Newport existed. I attended a friends wedding and they did both the ceremony and the reception inside the hall. The staff working here were super friendly and nice and very accommodating to everyone who was in attendance. The upstairs is where the wedding was at. The room was a little warm, but it was big enough to hold about 100 people. They did a very nice job with the set up of the chairs and the alter for the wedding. The sound system in the hall was great. For appetizer hour it was downstairs in the entry way. The area had two big rooms and a center room where the bar was set up. The food at the wedding was typical wedding food. It was good but not great. Overall I had a wonderful time at this wedding. I would for sure attend an event here or plan a wedding or function if I lived in town."
"I have SO many good things to say about this place. First off, I live a couple blocks away from the Leapin Lizard, so any chance I get to come here, I won't pass up. I've been here for dance lessons, various events, but this past weekend I came here to see a friend's bellydance show (I love that this space hosts such a broad variety of events). Don't come expecting some fancy-pants venue. Leapin' Lizard is definitely rough around the edges, but is filled with character.I came to the show with my friend's husband and we stopped back at the bar to grab a drink before the show. My friend ordered a whiskey sour. The bartender told us that she was waiting for the sour mix to be brought up but that she would walk the drink over to us when it arrived (in a very busy event), how cool is that!? The bar staff was SUPER friendly throughout the event and it definitely made an impression. I can't wait for the next chance I have to come back!"
"The service was great. The restaurant was open air. It was about 85 degrees but the fans kept us cool enough. The outside chairs were comfortable. The food was even better. We had just come from the Spartan race our group of six was starving. The soft pretzel with cheese was delicious. We ordered their undecided fries and we devoured them along with the homemade ranch. I hade the coconut shrimp basket it was great.Everyone else had a cheeseburger. We will make our way back to this place."
"I was faced with waiting at CVG for two hours and decided to take myself out for a drink. It was a $16 uber ride from the airport, which I think is a fair price. Airpopped tater tots go well with a pint of Yuengling's."
"This a great event center with an amazing view of Cincinnati. It's definitely pricey, so be prepared. But this place has plenty of room if you're looking to have two hundred guests. There are great kitchens to make it easier on your caterer of choice."
"We used the Lyceum for our wedding in July and I would recommend them to anyone! The venue is beautiful. It has several rooms that you can use for a variety of purposes - we used the patio for games, whiskey tasting in the library, cake display in the sun room, and dinner and dancing in the main hall. They have a 'getting ready' area upstairs that is newly-renovated and to die for (think movie-set makeup mirrors and lights)! Cindy and her team are fantastic! They made everything so easy. We were able to get in early and set up - which is huge for the borderline perfectionistic bride who wants to do everything herself. I almost can't believe how flexible they were!! On top of all that, the Lyceum allowed us to work with whatever vendors we wanted. Again, unbelievable. We could chose our caterer/bakery, bring our own drinks, work with any band, and bring in specialty providers. In addition, most of the vendors we spoke to listed the Lyceum as one of their favorite places to work. Since they have such a great working relationship, I had to do significantly less coordinating. For example, we used the Glendale Florist and I didn't have to do anything beyond deciding on flowers - they coordinated delivery and set-up times! Whew! It's also worth mentioning that Cindy was great at making recommendations. From the layout of the rooms, to linens, she allowed us to leverage her expertise - most of us will only get married once, Cindy does this 20+ times a year! The pricing is great as well, it's itemized and you know where your dollars are going. I didn't feel duped - which is wonderful. If I had to do it all over again - I would choose the Lyceum in a heartbeat!"
"I hate using the phrase "hidden gem" because it's such a cliché, but it's the only way to describe the Lucky Turtle! This speakeasy is hidden behind a liquor store and an Arby's in Finneytown, and it is one of the chillest beer and bourbon bars in Cincinnati. They have an amazing draft list (23 beers on tap, many of them local and seasonal!), 60+ bourbons, and many more beers in bottles/cans. I was there on 4/20 (lol) and they had the Wanna Get Rye red IPA with CBD from 50 West, plus cool drink specials like the Stone + NOFX Punk in Drublic can for $3. If you're looking for rare/unique beers and friendly, knowledgeable bartenders, this is your place. The inside is no frills. They have a few games, darts, and a small outdoor space with corn hole. But this place is more about the drinks than it is about the decor, and I appreciate that."

Came to Jump!Zone Florence for a birthday party that was being held for one of my children's friends. There are several party options. Options include your party being in a private room or at tables near the inflatables. I'm glad they chose the tables. There isn't really a way to watch the kids play from the private rooms. All the children had a great time jumping on the various inflatables. They are intricate and exciting enough to keep elementary school age children interested, and yet easy enough for preschool children to have fun. Children of all ages are allowed on the majority of the inflatables. There are two inflatables that are specifically reserved for children ages 5 and under. These are off in their own corner. That area also has a couple toddler sized climbers. A couple of benches are in that area for parents. There are a few prize machine and claw machines. Not an arcade, just a handful of machines. I didn't really see kids using them, even from other parties. Jumping was enough to keep kids busy. Outside food is not permitted. Jump!Zone has partnered with Danato's pizza. Food is ordered at the front, and is brought back to your party once it is delivered. Snacks and drinks are available for immediate purchase. They did allow the party we were with bring in their own cake. I would recommend checking with the establishment before doing so. Just to be on the safe side. A sign out front notifies guests that gifts are only allowed to be brought in if a birthday party has reservations. For sanitation reasons, socks are required for jumping. Socks are available for purchase if one comes without.

I hosted my sister's bridal shower here and it truly turned out better than I could have expected! At first we had a slight hiccup in communication with working with their hospitality department, but the GM and assistant GM more than made up for it. I worked with Natalie after that and she went above and beyond. She was there for every question and concern I had. She was there on the day of my event and was so hands on and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff! From helping me with communication on road closures and traffic with Pride falling at the same time and day as my event, to setting up and breaking down, she was there. The Garden Room came with the patio and it was the perfect place to bring together my vision of a summer garden party. We had the perfect amount of food from their brunch options and add ons and it was delicious! We also still had the inside room to keep the food and utilize before we went outside for the brunch. Amazing time and super grateful to Natalie and her team!

Cooper Creek is absolutely a great hidden find in Blue Ash. Just absolutely beautiful great place for events or even weddings. I've been here twice one for a work event that was more professional and another for Cincinnati Magazine's Sweet Victory which was more fun and exciting. I must say it works for either event. They have two levels so if you're trying to have something that's more private like a reception before the big event you can do that upstairs and then have a party downstairs. Parking is great too. Their staff is awesome and very accommodating to what you might need. The view outside of the golf course is absolutely beautiful and ideal for weddings - my mom told me this is wear my wedding will be....here's to hoping! Overall a great location!

What a great place to unwind! The staff are very friendly. Lots of TVs and a pool table. They have outdoor seating which is a nice area to hang out. They have a big selection of drinks. They are working on a new food menu but there is an area to purchase snacks if you need something to go with your drink! They also have live music. I can't wait to come back!

The Carnegie Event Center is in the former Newport Public Library. When we took a tour of restored homes last fall, we also visited this building to get our tickets. The building houses the event center's office, as well as a tea room downstairs. There's a nice garden area off to one side and a large event room with a stage on the top floor. I have also noticed a large tent behind the building, also for event use, I'm guessing. According to its website, the center is available for weddings and other events.

I have to give an extra star for all the hard work they are doing to keep this place on the map in terms of every kind of entertainment you can imagine. They have salsa dancing with a live band, DJ nights, burlesque training, drag shows, fashion shows, art/craft fairs, world music performances, and the list goes on.Not to mention they have lots of local artisan jewelry and home decor for sale. The selection is impressive.

"This is another fish-fry restaurant we decided to try since Bridgetown Finer Meats isn't doing theirs this year due to COVID safety precautions. We each got a fish platter and they were delicious, reasonably priced and huge portions! I was only able to eat half of my sandwich (which was delicious cold the next day for lunch!) They provide pickles, tarter sauce and the platters come with fries, another side (we got mac) and hush puppies. I wasn't a huge fan of the hush puppies, but everything else was really yummy. Would definitely come back here for sure!"
"Great place to learn, practice and play. Pretty, well-kept grounds with a fun par-3 course, covered driving range and large practice putting green. Melissa and Larry are friendly and welcoming - always there to answer questions and give some pointers. My high school son has been doing weekly lessons with Melissa, the owner and Pro. They have a great rapport - She pulls in all aspects of the game including the mental side which is so important! They stay in touch about his summer tourneys and customize the practice each week to focus on advancing his game. The vibe around the ranch is always upbeat, casual and welcoming - you'll find people of all ages and skill levels working on their game there. They offer good package deals on driving range and par 3 play and host some cool events throughout the year. It's a very enjoyable place to hang out."
"I came here because I bought a Groupon coupon last year. It took me a year to use it and I really wanted to check out the Saturday night seafood buffet before my certificate expired. With one week left on the certificate, I was disappointed that I couldn't fit the Saturday buffet in my scheduled and ended up there on a Sunday night. Luckily I didn't go out of my way to make it on a Saturday night because there is no longer a Saturday night seafood buffet. The restaurant is at the marina, which seemed appealing, but there is no view at all, which was disappointing. The food was good, I got the Sunday special - 12 oz prime rib for $15 and was happy. I wouldn't mind trying the Saturday night surf and turf sometime. I was a bit surprised that on a Sunday evening at 7:00pm we were the only customers. I don't think anyone was even at the bar. The service was very good. Overall, it wasn't as nice of a restaurant as I though it would be, but I left full and happy."
"was here for a weddingthe backdrops for a wedding are great,, and much nicer than most boring rooms.they even do outdoor locations near a lake.place would also be nice for parties."
"The Cheviot House is absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect place to host my bridal shower. Ming went over and beyond to make sure everything was great! My guest could not stop raving over the space and set up. The Bluetooth sound system was perfect to play music while we ate and socialized. The in house balloon decor was a nice touch to the shower as well as the mimosa bar provided by the in house mobile bar service. I can't wait to host my next event here!"
"Driving through Green Hills you probably wouldn't even give this place a second look. You can't really see it from the trees and it sits behind everything else in the area. I went here for the first time for a wedding reception & it was really nice. The place was decorating beautifully, it was the perfect size and the price was great for what they provided. The second time I went was for a speaking engagement. Again it was nice and the food was fantastic, but the owner is going through a transitional period and I believe is selling this place. When I heard the name originally I thought it was some type of bar, but it's actually an events center. I tried to click on the website and it's down right now, so I don't know what the future holds for this little place, but if you're looking for an affordable and pretty location for a wedding reception, don't pass this place by without checking into it."
"A beautiful venue for a small wedding (or a good spot for a party or meeting). My sister got married here at the end of the summer and this was the perfect spot for around 75 people (it can hold more). The ceremony was outdoors on the lawn and the space is great for that. There's a dance floor area inside and plenty of space for any food or catering. The building has a nice sound system and televisions you can project slide shows or whatever you'd need onto. Victoria is the contact person and she is great, she will go the extra mile in service."
"Very cool place. You can't miss it driving up- signs all along the side of the building. You can park by them, on the street, but there is a mid-size lot by the main entrance. A few spaces in it on a Sunday near the holidays. Hours are 10-4 Weds-Sun.Inside, friendly staff, a small gift shop, and signs. Everywhere. Many neon, but also metal, porcelain coated, gold leaf, and more. Small placards for each with a bit of history, but mainly you just walk around mouth agape. They are cool, and nostalgic, and sometimes huge.A little expensive, sure, but where else are you going to see big neon signs lit up? They used to be everywhere. Kids are free. Senior discounts. It's worth a detour. Maybe not a special trip- it's not huge- but as part of a family get-together in our case, or a Cinci trip for the aquarium or Childrens' museum etc., a fun hour."
"We had my son's wedding reception here. A couple of things were disappointing for me. When all the guests arrived, they were supposed to have two bartenders and there was only one which meant out guests had to wait in a long while just to get their first drink. Their sound system is only good if you want to have a dance party there. Many of my friends said that they could not hear my speech as well as some of the other ones. I ended up having to send them a written copy of my speech later. While the speeches were given, they did not turn the music completely off. Then when the music played it was so loud that many our guests couldn't have a decent conversation. The final blow was that they ran out of the buffet food for a table of three very very dear couples. Very embarrassing. They hobbled something together but that is inexcusable especially since they said that they usually have so much food left over that they donate it. You can't do receptions over again."
"Small place with great gin selections . They die other cocktails Having a Subtropical - if you're into cucumber this is your cocktail. A quaint atmosphere and just a few steps off Vine. St down 13th street . Unique spirits here.... Marigold infused bourbon...."
"We had our daughters 10th bday party here and picked a package with full service. It was such a wonderful hands free experience! We told them we wanted a winter wonderland theme and when I say they delivered- I MEAN IT! Every detail was perfect from the lights, table settings, backdrops, linens and all. They were very punctual and kept us informed every step of the way. The food was delicious too- all of my guests kept complimenting the food. My daughter loves to cook so they planned a special pizza making part of the party for the kids and they had all the ingredients and personalized boxes for the kids to take the pizza home. This experience was a 10/10! I highly recommend."
"I've gazed on the building many times from the outside, and it is quite spectacular. However, I still underestimated what I might find inside. Having found an excuse to come, I actually went into the box office, and was not the only one there, amazingly enough in this online era. Coming in person got me an education on the seat I was buying and the setup for a student discount. The building is historic, but quite magnicifently updated. I was glad to see an in-person concert again. While there were some bad seats in the house, notably behind support beams, these were discounted and most of the seats even high up did offer a good view.Concessions included local Hen of the Woods chips (the buttermilk chive flavor is hard to resist), but they do recommend that you spend a night out on the town nearby, and the view from the upper floors gives a sense that this is the center of a very nice area."
"We rented this place for our son's wedding. It is such a cool older building. Since his fiancé is a big book person, having the wedding in the library was a great thing. Jeff handled everything and was so organized and had so many suggestions and options for place settings and decorations. They have a caterer which was some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding. With two rooms, we were able to have the ceremony and then a cocktail hour while they set up for dinner and then dinner and dancing for the rest of the night. With such a beautiful backdrop, it made for an incredible evening. The wedding planner, included kept things moving. The servers and bartenders were so friendly and did their jobs well. It made an incredible night even that much better."
"2 of my friends got married here - and it was AWESOME. they lucked out with a spectacular day, which didn't hurt.the grounds were extremely well maintained, and the staff was great. very helpful, very courteous. the bar was making drinks from scratch instead of mixes.the appetizers and salads were great, but the dinner was actually not very good. the opportunities for photography were great - the staircases and the moat were beautiful backdrops. i was not their photographer but i couldn't help but take some shots."
"Good food but the service was subpar.Went to pick up food around 1hr to close but they couldn't get their heads together to get my order straight. It was also not like the place was packed. Maybe about 7-8 patrons max."
"I went to a party that was held at Western Hills Live on 10/06. I drive past this facility every single day and didn't know you could have events inside. The staff was great and interacted with the guests which I thought was nice.Upstairs is where you'd set up your tables/chairs for food and games. There's also a tv located upstairs.Downstairs was the refreshment area and a little play area for the kiddos. I think that's perfect because that gives the kids something to do besides give people other than their parents headaches lol. There was a bouncy house! The kids loved it. I'd definitely have an event there...if I was a party thrower. Not sure of the price but worth checking out."
"It was pretty mid in every way Good thing was the free bread. Was awesome and the food quality itself seemed pretty good. Not great or anything and prices are high"
"Great place! Great central location in the heart of Cheviot. Perfect venue for weddings, showers, get togethers, company parties, class reunions, reveal parties, birthday parties, family reunions, the list goes on. Would highly recommend. Very accommodating and great service. Mary the owner is awesome!! Cannot say enough good things about this place and the owner."
"My best friend and I attended the Candlelight Concert featuring music by Adele here. Neither of us had been to the Transept before, and it was a beautiful venue for a string quartet. Fever puts on these concerts and lights the venue with flameless candles. The acoustics were wonderful. Would come back in a heartbeat!"
"I was greeted and seated fairly quickly. Lisa was my server/waitress. She was friendly and paid attention to details. When she served my breakfast, she said, "something's missing." It was the hash browns. She brought that to me shortly after that. Kept coffee refilled as i dined. Good food- eggs over hard, ham slice, hash browns, sourdough toast( i can't find that often!). Choice of creamers for my coffee, and she brought a small bowl filled with them. She brought ketchup for the hash browns when she served them without having to ask. Orange marmalade was great on the sourdough toast. She also brought me an extra spoon when i asked, as the one I had I was using for marmalade, needed one for coffee. I dined on a Saturday morning after a busy work week, felt like treating myself."
"Really enjoyable experience!! Great to hear about the history of the building, area and to learn about bourbon. Griffin was knowledgeable and explained all the details and process and made the experience fun! I can't wait to come back in a year to see the new distillery!! The experience includes a taste of 4 bourbons well aged and 2 of them were their whiskeys. Then you get to be the mixologists and make your own blend and buy it if you choose. I couldn't resist (or was it the good bourbon influencing me)... I purchased Lorean's KY Moonshine curated by me!! It's your own mix and label!! So fun!!"
"A great little place we drive to in Ft. Thomas to listen to Jill and Bobbie. It was a great date night with great tunes with Jill and Bobbie. We were able to get seats next to the window and able to talk and hear the music. The service was great and very attentive. Food was also great and even Barb the owner stopped by and checked on us.We started off with a Mediterranean platter as a shareable made of garlic roasted hummus, olives, pickles, veggies, warm pita. The hummus was delectable as it was handmade. Pickles and olives were not too vinegary. Warm pita was perfect. We also split a Roasted Beet SaladRoasted beets, artisan green mix, goat cheese, candied walnuts, house vinaigrette. The salad was delicious with yummy beets and a very mellow goat cheese. The candied walnuts completed the ensemble. Farmhouse Flatbreads with House garlic sauce, fired roasted tomatoes, roasted portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers, red onion, mozzarella, goat cheese, balsamic drizzle, fresh basil. Great presentation and excellent combination of flavors.Highly recommend this to looking for a pub / restaurant with a nice atmosphere."
"We've been trying to get here forever, finally made it for brunch today. Fantastic! Can't wait to come back for lunch and dinner and probably some tastings!!"
