"Came for late dinner Friday night. There were a lot of people waiting for seats by the door but since I was by myself got a seat at the bar immediately. Got the mojo shrimp plate, it was good, not amazing. The bar didn't have that much choice for non-alcoholic drinks besides soda and jarritos. I asked if they had a chicha morada (peruvian purple corn drink) and the server has never heard of it. I've had better peruvian food in other cities, this is ok. Service was good and food arrived fast."
"Some places reach a level of perfection in their food and service unmatched by others. These places usually stay hidden, preserved for a special crowd to enjoy them in secret. Once in a while though, those places are smack in the middle of the city, not far from some of the major attractions, and all you have to do is enter their doors and sit down to enjoy some of the best food you'll ever have in a region. Such is the case with Agave & Rye in Covington. Our discovery of Agave & Rye was incredibly fortuitous. I had just landed from South Florida, here to celebrate my niece and nephew's birthday. Half of my family was set to arrive in a hour and a half and we needed something to eat. It was late at night, we looked for a highly recommended spot for food, and lo and behold, Yelp always comes in clutch! But when we arrived at the location suggested they had just closed their kitchen and were solely focused on drinks. Hungry and disappointed, we ventured the streets of Covington once more. And as we were passing by Agave & Rye we couldn't help but notice people still sitting outside enjoying their meals.Luckily for us, there was a waitress passing by at the moment who told us we'd just arrived in time. Her name was Taylor. When it comes to customer service, Taylor's is unmatched. Not only was she in charge of serving the customers in the outside sitting area, but also training a new employee. We asked her for recommendations, and she guided us brilliantly. And so, under her guidance, we proceeded to order. One of the orders was for an Epic Taco - The Bomb taco. I decided for the Grilled Birria Burrito. And Oh My God! What a great decision that was! The burrito was perfect. There was flavor and deliciousness in every bite. Next time I promise to try one of the Epic Tacos. And how can you not. Besides the aforementioned one, you also have on the menu, the Jedi Taco, the Alderman taco, the Bang Bang, the Rooster, the Green Goddess, and the Love Shack 2.In conclusion, we truly ran into a gem. I can't wait to go back and continue enjoying the wonderful food and the great service at Agave & Rye."

"Didn't know what to expect. I call it eclectic Mexican. Tacos galore along with burritos and quesadillas. They are not traditional. They have many twists in them. Lots of sauces and creams. You can even get a burger here. Great specials each night food and drinks. Free arcade games in the back, but didn't have time to play."
"Twice in one week-that's how good!! The mac n cheese doughnuts!! Dayum! The nacho chips are tremendously thick and crisp. Absolutely awesome twist on tacos and the flavors blend and work so good. We've never been disappointed with our meals and service here. Will always return."
"What an epic meal in every sense of the word!!!! The food, the service, the ambiance!!!Emily is a gem of a server, and the food was absolutely fantastic! So glad we were all in town for a conference to come here!"
"Just had lunch there this past Thursday with a client. The steak tacos and the mushrooms are absolutely amazing!!Highly recommend!"
"We love this place. Such unique dishes and everything we've tried has been amazing. Service is great and drinks at the bar even better. If you're in the area, definitely come check them out."
"One of my favorite all time local taco eateries! I've been coming here since pre-Covid and finally had an opportunity to slow down and dine in. 100% worth it! The tacos are authentic, savory, and mouth watering. I have not had a bad taco from here and I'm also obsessed with the cheese quesadilla. There are cheese quesadillas and there are CHEEEEEESSSEEE quesadillas! This is certainly one of the best quesadillas and is a meal in it self. The staff is always accommodating and aims to please. The restaurant is fun with plenty of vibrant colors. Again, just one of the best authentic taco spots, hands down. Highly recommended!"
"Order at the counter and find a seat- the place was hoping on Saturday at 6pm. Service was quick to the table and the condiments deserve a shout- out for being fresh, clean and tasty!Recommend the Al pastor tacos, the campechanos were a tad dry but brought back to life by the salsa and fixings.Give them a try!"
"Stopped here while in Franklin at the antique market. Split review - it was a large place and not very busy, but service took so long I had to get up to find the server. I really enjoyed my food, but my friend didn't like hers at all."
"I've heard lots of great things about Agave & Rye, so I was disappointed with my experience. The margarita was very sweet, and personally I don't like drinking juice. The tacos are pretty unique and sizable but for the price, I think they should taste better. I had the lobster one there wasn't much flavor and they were skimpy with the meat. The service was good and the decor is bright and fun but for the price and quality, I wouldn't recommend it."
"I went with a friend a few days ago on a coworker's recommendation and I am so glad I took it. This restaurant is so cute, the bar was gorgeous and I loved the "Ivy wall" decorations. We were there right around dinner time and our food came out so fast. It felt like we had just ordered and bam the food was there. I had the Beef Chimichangas with rice and beans it was so good. My friend got a chicken burrito, the chicken was seasoned very well. I also got a margarita so tasty. I will definitely be back to try more of their food."

Great restaurant in downtown Lexington. The food is fresh and flavorful. A standout entree was the special of the night "Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas with an elote topping". The Smoked Pork tacos were a bit too spicy for me but loved the queso, guacamole, and mojitos. The crab empanadas were spicy and messy. Our last visit the hostess took her job very seriously and had us wait outside to not crowd the bar with our friends

Great tacos paired with a Little Red Corvette. I tried the "Just swipe right, the rooster and the filthy fajita" all were excellent tacos. My wife had the pick 3 chips and dip so the salsa, guacamole and queso were amazing. Portion sizes are very generous. Biggest downfall is the mixed drink prices, $14-15 each is a bit much. Only other strange part is the light fixtures, they don't really fit the vibe and are very dirty. All in all the wait staff was great and would definitely go back.

The place just screams "fun". From the one of a kind ambiance to the food variations and twists on tacos...it's amazing that a taco experience can even be that, an experience. We love Agave and Rye and always enjoy our food. Prompt service and friendly staff.

McKenna gave amazing service!! I love the out of the box taco concepts at agave and rye. Today was my first time trying the crown jewel. A taco with Mac and cheese, lobster, mushroom and truffle oil definitely chefs kiss. This restaurant is super colorful, fun atmosphere. Music was great!

Back for a second time. I just wanted something simple so I got the plain Jane taco... perfect. Double shelled too. That crisp crunch without the exploding taco filling all over the plate is awesome. And let me tell you...if you love Brussels sprouts, you will LOVE the sprouts here. I've been to places that claim they have grilled sprouts, but they come out a soggy mess. Not here. You get a perfectly proportioned, cheesy, grilled bowl of spouts with a generous topping of shaved, toasted almonds. Even if you don't like sprouts, I'd be willing to bet you'd like these. Wanna know why? I am pretty sure your childhood memory of sprouts has them boiled to death and coated with vinegar so that you can somehow choke them down. These are so not that. To be fair, I love sprouts. But the way Agave and Rye makes them...omg. It's a party in the mouth. I'm telling you, I could eat whole plate of these, or likely die trying, they are that good.Give them a shot. It's on the starter menu, and yes $13 might seem steep but it's soooooo worth it. If you're out on a date here and you are in the fence about them but your date orders them...try one. If you don't like it, no loss, but I'd put money on you liking them.Good job guys!!

My sister has been raving about this place for quite some time and once I got into town and visited it, I understood why. From the moment you step into this location, you can tell that it's run by a very well intentioned family. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and friendly. There's a mix of construction workers and lawyers, all having random conversations with what appears to be the owner. I was immediately intrigued. Once we placed our order and received the food, I went from intrigued to addicted. These are quite possibly some of the best street tacos I have ever had bar none! Living in Chicago and spending plenty of time in Mexico, this is a huge statement I'm not sure what they're doing here but the food is absolutely amazing! The cowboy tacos, the chicken tacos, the street corn, even the chips and salsa were all prepared, seasoned, and served PERFECTLY. Very rarely do I go to a place two days in a row, but this place was so good that I demanded we have two consecutive meals here! Dinner and then we were there the moment they reopened the next day. It's THAT GOOD! If you are anywhere near this place, stop in and give it a try. I would be very surprised if you were anything but blown away. I know I was!

"Amazing food! Ok, just skip the corporate owned Mexican restaurants and give this place a try. You will have to come early to get some tamales, we missed out. We came for a later lunch on a Saturday and this place was still busy. The table service was prompt and attentive and she allowed us to have a rolling order to sample a variety of foods. The food is amazing! Everything tastes fresh and we sampled some unique menu items that I don't usually see on other menus. Try the Gorditas and, if you are here on Saturday, the Birra tacos...Amazing! The other tacos are also worth a try."
"We used to go here frequently before our office moved, so we decided to make the jaunt for lunch this week. It was worth the drive! The food and service were a great as we remembered (try anything that strikes your fancy, it's all good). The decor is lovely, dark wood and cozy. And to top it off, our wonderful waiter brought us each a rose since it was Valentine's Day. It made all of our days!!"
"We knew were in a good restaurant when our friendly server, Jamie, greeted us. I chose the restaurant because of its extensive and varied menu at Jamie was helpful in making suggestions and answering questions. The food was delicious."
"I'm not joking when I say this is the best burger in the city. They are always SO juicy but not sloppy. They season them very well and the toppings/bun are premium and fresh. Cooked to medium every time. Highly recommend the All American and the Grippos burger! They have sweet potato waffle fries and "crunchy coating" type fries that are always fresh and very crispy. They also season these very well with salt. There is an extensive liquor and beer selection and their cocktail menu is pretty good! On top of it all, the service is fantastic and I like the atmosphere! A little bit of an interesting choice with the slight country theme mixed with upscale, but it oddly works. Overall give this restaurant a 9.5/10 and it's a must try if you're downtown for a show or game!"
"I came in here on a Sunday afternoon. It was empty. The interior is pretty. My server was wonderful and attentive. The bourbon drink was good. I ordered a Turkey club sandwich. It was a large portion and delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend others to dine here."
"I eat these tacos every Friday. I get American style shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. I love them. It's delicious and very filling. They are speedy and offer delivery and pick up options."
"A 35 minute drive from home, but we decided to make it here based on some good buzz on Chowdown Cincinnati. It did not disappoint. I had 4 tacos (steak, pork, el pastor and chorizo) and got a burrito to take home. The tacos were double-walled and very meaty--I'm still surprised that I was able to eat all four. They were all excellent. They have 4 sauces--these all came with lime slices and tomatillo green sauce which is the mildest. There is somewhat of a wait for the food, but it was well worth it, Two picnic tables to eat on. They don't sell drinks, but the adjacent Exxon station does. I like patronizing small independent businesses like this. Service was friendly and efficient."
"Nice interior with music contributing to the ambiance. Salsa is smooth, tastes great. If you are a cheese lover order the Enchaladas El Morral. Good cheese in the Enchilada (flour shell instead of corn) as well as on top with the Verde sauce. Being a Verde sauce lover I would have preferred more Verde and less cheese but I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one! I took some from my companions carnitas, mmm, so it's all good! The carnitas were delicious!"
"I've driven by many times but never stopped in until today. The first issue I had was that the parking is behind the building, and then you have to walk back around to the front door. It's not a big deal but inconvenient if it's a rainy day or when it's dark, so something to keep in mind.It was empty when I walked in except for the staff/owners. I ordered a steak burrito, no beans for my daughter, and 3 tacos (chicken, steak, and carnitas) for myself. I asked for a second green sauce, and they also gave me a red sauce, and I also got a side of rice. The food overall was good, and the tacos were loaded with meat, onion, and cilantro. My daughter enjoyed her burrito, though she said the meat was very chewy. The carnitas taco was good, and I was surprised that they included the skin, which gave the taco some juiciness. The rice was good, though I felt it could have used some seasoning. I would eat here again, and it's close to where I live so very convenient."
"I am obsessed with this place. I have never had lengua near as good. Every single thing I have eaten is amazing. Highly recommend going to try and one of each taco"
"I LOVE this spot. I wanted a homestyle fried meal but didn't feel like cooking. I found this spot on google and decided to give it a try. I called ahead to confirm their hours and was greeted by Angel, who was super friendly. Not knowing what to expect, I wanted to check out the environment (as I do with all of my first-time experiences) before I placed my order. When I arrived, the place was spotless, and I was immediately greeted by Basil, who took my order. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the whiting with fried potatoes and cabbage. OMGoodnesss, YUM. Everything was piping hot and flavorfulI highly recommend the fried fish. It was fresh and cooked to order. Next time I visit (and there will be a next time), I would like to try other sides and dessert. Get here!"
"I called ahead and placed a takeout order for a burrito with extra refried beans no rice and a single drumstick because I wanted to check out their fried chicken, not really expecting too much because I honestly I've never seen a combination Mexican fried Chicken joint. When I got there they were pretty busy and the smell was incredibly powerful, appetizing to say the least! the gentleman who took my order told me it would have been like 10 minutes and I definitely waited longer than that, but it wasn't a terrible wait. Got home and dove in...the burrito was okay, refried black beans which is one of my favorites and a decent amount of filling but nothing really great in the flavor department, the steak was some of the chewier fattier cuts which is always annoying for me. the fried chicken though is actually great! Had a super light fry like almost to the point that I couldn't tell if it was roasted or fried, it was barely just a bit of coating and super crispy skin. I'll definitely go back for more of that!"
"Super cute Mexican Market as well as pick up for Mazunte. This was my first time at this location. I came to pick up some Horchata. I love their Horchata! It's the best! While I was in there I realized you could actually get their tacos and other foods. I also grabbed one Jamaica juice as well as some Gauc and chips. Their Gauc and chips are really good. Probably my fav. I love their chips as well. I didn't really care for the Jamaica drink. It was my first time having it. As always the Horchata, Gauc and Chips were delicious!"
"This is real Mexican stuff here. Enon people, listen up, we are all very very lucky!I have had I think everything on the menu now, and it's all authentic and delish. I also can say that Luis and his mamma are lovely additions to the community. Do spring for dessert, the colorful layered gelatines are very good. They are located right next to the Dollar General in the parking lot for the gardening place next door. They have a couple picnic tables out for dining next to the pretty pond."
"Highly recommended for a fast casual meal in Winchester. Huge improvement over the prior occupants of this building. Prompt service, clean atmosphere, good food."
"Jefe has literally found the best possible ingredients to make an incredible Cuban sandwich! The perfect mustard (not the yellow stuff), pickles, bread flown in from Miami, pork- perfectly moist, and a ham I can't explain how different and good. It's so good to hang at Covington yard, drink a brew and wait for your buzzer to go off to get your sandwich."
"While the service was good, the food was not so much. The pineapple salsa really just looked like shredded pineapples with the juice squeezed out of them. The queso wasn't much better, lacking flavor. The same could be said for the K-BBQ Taco which tasted faintly of soy sauce. The only taco that was ok was the Raspberry Chipotle Chicken Taco. I wish I had just gotten two of these instead of spending so much on all the other bland things on the menu. The Tofu Taco was very off-putting with its mushy texture and the Tequila Shrimp tasted like it was marinated in cocktail sauce. The food here is definitely for those nights where you are under the influence of something and don't care what it tastes like or when you're like us and need food at 11pm at night."
"Milford as the locals know has many Mexican restaurants to choose from. That means competition is high! El Taco Veloz won't have to worry though, they will be here to stay!!!"
"Good local Mexican Food chain.Great drinks and atmosphere. Typically busy but worth the wait.If you've been to others, you can expect more of the same.Would I go back? Yes. A great go-to for what it is."
"I had wanted to grab a quesadilla from another local truck... when I got there and placed an order the wait said 30 minutes, I was way too hungry for that. Frantically I pulled out my phone and found El Gordis right down the road in the parking lot of a BP gas station at the intersection of Tennessee and Reading. I pulled up way too damn hungry, distraught, trying to figure out if I wanted a torta or a burrito or just like 16 different things. I ordered in a panic, and ended up with a steak torta. Payment via cash or cash app, no cards accepted. It was a delicious decision. What I got from the owner was probably one of the best Mexican meals I've had in this city, and that torta was a solid meal in and of itself. Piled HIGH with meat, two different types of cheeses, damn near a whole avocado, fresh jalapenos, home made salsa, lettuce, pico, and a grilled jalapeno and onion on the side for good measure. It was probably one of the most ridiculously large things I've eaten, and at $12 it was worth every single penny. While he was cooking I chatted with the owner, they're open until 9pm every night except Sunday but he's talking about opening until late on the weekends (like 1 am), because he apparently does good business in the evening. He marinates and makes all of his meat (including chorizo), bakes his own bread, dices his own tomatoes, it's all his handy work making this little truck work. And the results are well worth it."
"First of all don't pull in the front and think they are closed like we did. The entrance is on the left side of the building. As we walked in we were seated right away and we had a really good server who was very polite and checked on us frequently. We all ordered diet cokes which came out in cans and he did bring cup with ice. We ordered a couple appetizers one being chips and queso. The other being their sampler, both of which were very good. Don't compare this to a Mexican restaurant because it is much different and don't expect chips and salsa to be dropped off at the table because they don't appear to have salsa. We each ordered and our meals came out fairly quick. Two of us ordered the chicken, one a quesadilla, and I got the carne asada. All of our meals were very good and my wife and I tried each others and agreed how good they were. Price wise for four of us it was around $100 including the 15% they already added as a tip. We added an additional $10 because our service was really good. The restaurant itself was very clean and there was music playing but not overly loud where you couldn't hear each other talk. This was our first time here and we would go again. I never thought to take any photos or I would have posted them."
