"Isaac was super sweet thank you for your kind service. Veggie spring rolls were so tasty crunch wrap supreme. Who is Mr sushi and why did he?Thank you kisses"
"Fun fact: I'm not the biggest fan of the Ichiban in Mt. Lookout. Their service is slow and their food is only adequate. If I feel that way, why did I choose to visit their Mason location? It was a matter of convenience, really. I was in the area and wanted sushi, and decided to give their other restaurant a shot. This Ichiban is located in a strip mall on the corner of Snider & Tylersville. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it looks and can accommodate large parties. The first time I went, I was seated promptly with a friend and we dove into the menu. My friend recently moved to Cincinnati from San Diego, so one thing she's getting used to is our "half-price" sushi. Yes, the fact that it's always half priced makes no sense. But we enjoy the sense of a bargain in Ohio!We sampled the menu - gyoza, edamame, and karaage were our appetizers. They came out one at a time and we enjoyed every last bite of it.We each ordered 2 rolls, and I also added some salmon sashimi since that's my absolute favorite. All the sushi was delicious and delivered promptly. The food was so good and inexpensive that I came back for lunch the very next week! They offer a lunch special of 3 rolls plus soup & salad for $9.99. What a steal! The sushi is fresh, the prices are great, and it's never too busy in Ichiban Mason. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!"

"La Hiro is located right near the Sakura Japanese Grocery store over in Florence. It's quite a bit of a drive, but we stopped by when I came back to town from my flight into CVG.I assumed that this place specialized in sweets since it's in the name, and so I was determined to try something out. We came in around 2:30 PM and they still had the lunch menu available, so that was a relief since usually dinner is expensive, though I'm not super knowledgeable about their menu or the differences to say the least.Generally, their dishes aren't too terribly expensive. I ordered a Tonkatsu and the SO ordered sashimi. The tonkatsu was about the size of my palm, came with sauce and a mini salad. All of it came with miso and salad. The SO's sashimi came with 3 pieces of each fish and also came with miso and salad. Just the way that my dish was presented, you could tell there was something a little bit different. The owners take a lot of time 'designing' and plating their dishes. You could really see and taste the 'homemade' love with an inkling of elegance. While the portions aren't excessive, and the prices might not be completely on point (speaking specifically to non-main kind of entrees), you are eating a meal made with a lot of heart. This is really the first time I've experienced this. The whole place bleeds of heart and you can tell that it's a restaurant where the owners had dreamed of opening it, where the husband wants to serve fresh fish, and the wife wants to make delicious and beautiful desserts.I was bummed that they didn't have the green tea cake, and even though it was late by bakery standards, they had many cakes and sweets still available. It doesn't seem like all of them are on the menu, so you I'm assuming she's always experimenting with new techniques and flavors. I opted for a raw cheesecake with a jello top with cherry blossoms, or sakura, imbedded. The dessert was so delicate yet rich. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't heavy at all. I could have eaten the entire slice by myself! Overall, the bill came out to be about 26$ for 2 people, filling me up quite well, though leaving him a bit on the half full side, and with tip bumped that up to $30. It's not any more expensive than other legit Japanese restaurants, though I wish it were closer! I'll definitely be coming back to try some more cakes :)"
"Love this place!! Excellent food and service! The sushi is incredibly fresh. Even our toddlers love this place."
"Phenomenal food and service. They gave us free egg rolls like a steak house gives you bread. They were some of the best eggs rolls ever. Their thai tea is excellent and exactly what I expected. The chicken hibachi was reasonably priced, extremely fresh, and high quality. The noodles themselves were so good it makes me want to order a dish with just them and some chicken. This place may not look fancy from the outside but if you're in the area I highly recommend you stop in and try it!"
"I LOVE this place the sushi is soooo good and the prices are affordable.I eat here all of the time I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet.Multiple sushi options and the servers were nice. There is plenty of pretty art there.Overall a wonderful experience. The experience was full of wonder but my belly was full of sushi.5 STARS!!!(Deserts aren't that great but they aren't the main thing anyway.)"
"I have been going here for years for my Japanese food fix! You can go during lunch depending on the day and get more bang for your buck. The staff are always welcoming. You can sit in booths or have a table where they cook infront of you. I have celebrated birthdays here, got together with friends and never have had a bad experience here. The sushi selection is good here and fairly prices overall. Definitely go check them out!"
"I've walked by this place a lot, but had never been in until a friend suggested we give it a try. 5 stars on value. Dine in is at 50% of menu prices, so the tuna roll is only $3.75??? Are you kidding? For a sushi place, the food was brought out very fast, and the spicy lobster roll was maybe my favorite roll I've ever had! $5 cans of beer, some nightly specials, and a fun college campus vibe. This spot is on my list for a quick great value sushi meal."
"This is my favorite place. I love the Volcano roll. And you can't go wrong with anything else that you would order."
"Matsuya is absolutely worth a trek to Florence. I loved my first visit so much that I came back 3 times with friends in a span of 2 months! The decor was very cute and felt very rustic. I liked how they had a large tatami room with low tables for reservations. The food was very unique and the kaiseki set gives you a large quantity of food and is definitely enough to share with another person. The sushi was masterfully prepared by their chef and I could tell they took great care in the food they serve. Would say that overall the wait time was a little longer for the courses, which we didn't mind, but if you're in a hurry, probably not the best place to come to. We felt that the quantity of time between courses allowed time to properly digest!"
"Amazing food in a cool atmosphere and we had great service.I truly think this menu has something for everyone: salads, sushi, bowls, burgers...I love bringing family and friends here when they come to visit. Everyone is always pleased with the food.I had been to the Hyde Park location several times, but this was my first time at the newer Banks location. I really liked it and look forward to returning!"
"This is one of our favorite places to order sushi. Rolls are a little on the small side, but still great value and taste. We also always get the spicy ramen which is made in egg drop soup which is amazing. I do miss their old location which had a lot of character, but we still enjoy going to the new location often. Service is always good and we can usually be in and out relatively quick. Always recommend people try here when they say they like sushi."

I found this place on Yelp during a trip to Cincy which landed me at a hotel right across the street. After browsing through their menu I decided to go ahead and order some takeout. It was easy because I could order directly through their Yelp page. I placed an order for veggie spring rolls, a house salad, the Wild Summer roll, and rock salt shrimp. It was ready in about 30 minutes and goodness, it was a lot of food. I had enough left over for a snack later in my trip and it came out to about $35. The spring rolls came as an order of four. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The rock salt shrimp came with jalapenos, which made it a bit spicy, but the yum-yum sauce was the perfect condiment for it. The house salad was basic, like what you would expect, with a yummy ginger dressing. The sushi roll was enormous and I couldn't even come close to finishing it. Thankfully my hotel room had a fridge. I can totally recommend this spot. Word on the Yelp street is that 3.5 stars for sushi/Asian fusion restaurants is the sweet spot.

This is the only place I'll get sushi from! It is so fresh and they also have the best miso soup I've ever had. Service is excellent as well.

My sister's go-to place for sushi from Cincy, we order takeout and take the drive bringing everything back home. We ordered unagi/eel nigiri, two spicy tuna rolls, and a spider roll. The spicy tuna rolls were the best. It was my first time getting that roll and not having it be mushy, finely chopped tuna with spicy mayo holding it together. This roll was a strip of tuna with spicy mayo squirted down the line of it assembled like a subway sub. Cut into sushi-sized pieces, each bite was proportionate in fish-to-sauce ratio and felt incredibly fresh with the larger chunk instead of the usual paste-like filling. The only complaint I had about our order was the spider roll was incredibly salty. I didnt finish it because it was throwing off all the other goodness. I think it mightve been part of the batter potentially but wouldnt stop me from going back, maybe just not ordering that one.

Quite possibly the best sushi I've ever had! We love this place. It's nice for a date night with your spouse but not too nice to not take the kids. Service has always been quick and courteous.

Food was fair. About what you would expect in an Asian food restaurant. Food delivery was fast. Service was good. She was efficient and polite.Ambiance is similar to a Waffle house. The thing is that they had a television on, and the programming was of violence and the volume was very loud. Not appropriate for a dining experience. It is more like a sports bar. Not willing to experience this place again.

Simple Chinese buffet with less options than other buffets. Food was not steaming hot and I am sorry to say that I had stomach problems that day but cannot say for sure that it was from their food. Price was good value though.

Probably one of the best Hibachi restaurants in the tri state. Most are all the same, with the same menu, but Kabuto stands out above the rest in service, portions, and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I paired my steak and shrimp combo with an iced cold Kirian Light and I was a happy man.The show / performance was great for first timers, but I rather just skip all that and cook it up and serve.

I had a longer class Friday morning, so by the time I got out it was lunchtime. I decided since I parked so close to Drunken Bento I might as well stop in for a snack to go. This is only my second time here but I remembered a dish that dinner of my friends ordered before and I just had to try it...the Kani Salad. Shredded crab with cucumber, scallions, masago, and tempura flakes tossed in spicy mayo sauce. It is so good with a nice helping of crab, and just the right amount of crunch from the tempura flakes. This will now be my staple when I find my way here. The sushi was great too. I've had a few different rolls and have yet to be disappointed. I placed my to go order and was out the door in about 5 minutes. The service and staff are helpful and friendly, and always engaging with guests through out. It's a cute little spot, definitely worth a try. I also hear the college crowd loves this spot on the late night.

"We decided to give this place a try tonight. We were greeted at the door and offered inside or outside seating. Outside looked great but rain coming in we opted for inside in a nice room by the front windows. Extensive Thai offerings and sushi. We ordered Mai Tai's and the were a very solid drink refreshing and quite strong. For n appetizers we tried the kanisu which were very tasty and fun presentation. We ordered the drunken woman noodles and the garden delight stir fry with pork. The food was plated pretty with a carrot flower. I ordered spice level 4 out of 5, I was surprised it seemed very mild spiced. Overall a nice place with a great meal at a reasonable price. I look forward to eating there again soon"
"A new lifelong customer! I had always walked past this place while in Crestview and saw it is usually pretty busy and that is what led us to trying it out. Though it was busy, we were seated promptly. There is plenty of space for seating so not sure that a reservation is necessary. We went for the first time last week and have already been back since because of the service and the amazing food. The service is top notch. Everyone in there is engaged and helpful. Managers walk by to greet you and joke around with you which I loved. It felt like a community driven environment. The food was so good and there is still so much that I want to try. I highly recommend the Thai tea or Thai coffee to start as both were amazing. I got the crispy pad Thai and it was a huge portion made just right. I also got the mango curry here and it was equally as amazing. I will be coming here every time I have a craving for Thai food or sushi."
"Best sushi I have ever had. Fresh fresh fresh!! We got sushi boat and it did not disappoint. Service was awesome with a smile and a nice perk of banana sushi at end. Cozy place. Would not have guessed from outside would be this gooooood!"
"Great Happy Hour deals, service, sushi, and sake. More people need to come here! They were nearly empty when I came in for Happy Hour on a Friday. Happy Hour had some apps and drinks about half off. I sat at the bar and had Rae as my server/bartender. Rae was phenomenal! Great suggestions for sushi and sake. Rae even had me try some of the mushroom shoyu, which was great with my nigiri. Drinks: Happy Hour Old Fashioned - made with Bulleit Bourbon. A classic. The Celebrity Sake - dangerous! Very smooth almost light like water. Has a soft smell. This was a great recommendation from Rae!Food: Crispy Brussels - Rae said "I don't usually like brussel sprouts but these I like." Sounds good to me. The sprouts did not disappoint. I loved the flavor. They were cooked through and crispy. Lots there too--definitely for sharing. I took most of this to go with me. Lobster and Yellowtail Maki - really loved this roll! The slices themselves are huge and not because of the rice amount. The lobster was cooked perfectly (coming from a Mainer). The Serrano pepper on top was a great bit of heat to each bite. The spicy mayo was great too. Quail egg nigiri - my plate had 2 pieces and they came with both salmon roe and flying fish roe. The pieces themselves were humongous, like I barely could eat it whole. The flavor was great: salty, mellow. It went really well with the mushroom shoyu Rae brought me to try. 3-piece mochi - for dessert I went with my fallback of mochi. It was not on the menu, but Rae said I could mix and match the 3 flavors they had: mango, green tea, and espresso. I went with the first two. The mochi was just OK. I should have just ended on the high of the dinner options! Next time: I'll try another Sake and more sushi. and bring some people!"
"I will preface this by saying that I get take out from this place for lunch on about a weekly basis, but have not yet dined in. I have tried about half a dozen menu items, mainly noodle, rice and stir fry dishes. I have several favorites and will continue to explore other options. That said, I'm a big fan. The food is absolutely top notch -- fresh, hot and delicious. The staff are always friendly and the prices are reasonable for the quality. I plan to keep coming back regularly."
"This place is a hole in the wall. In need of many repairs. If you can get past that, I would recommend it 100%. Good sushi and kind staff."
"Decent sushi. The meal off the hibachi grill was pretty average as Japanese Steak House fare goes. Not disappointed not wowed. The presentation/personality of the cook was way low key. I kinda expect that cook to be totally entertaining and high energy. Again the food was fine. We felt a little crowded at the table too. Would have waited for the next table to be sat and be less crowded."
"Absolutely delicious food! The establishment was clean, including restrooms and the aesthetic was super nice. It wasn't what I'd call "upscale" but casual and cozy. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and she made me and my husband feel welcomed and at home. This is a 3hr drive but we will be back!"
"Gosh, with all these 5-star reviews, did we pick literally the worst day to come here? Don't know, as we have no interest in returning.I tried ordering what I thought would be a fresh and healthy poke bowl on lettuce. Wish I could have better seen the ingredients behind the glass, because I would have aborted that idea. The lettuce was iceberg and ironically swimming in water...I watched in dismay as the worker had to shake off the water, but not hard enough because plenty made it into my to-go box. Next up, some of the most disgusting avocado I have ever been served - more brown/gray than green (thankfully was not an extra charge). And then finished with weirdly cut sticks of onion and topped with "spicy" mayo that was somehow less spicy or flavorful than just pure mayo. At least the salmon wasn't as terrible as everything else and didn't give me any digestive issues like I feared it would, but did not warrant a return visit either. The salmon ended up being the only thing I ate from this "bowl".Service was ok, but a little slow. We received a free $10 gift card for our next visit, but even that won't have us returning (my wife's teriyaki chicken was underwhelming too). I have no idea what world we entered versus the other reviews here, but we won't chance it again."
"I have missed this place so much. Every time we come here we are not disappointed. We also leave so full we are about to pop. They do have some plates and hibachi, but we come for the sushi. They make a variety of fancy rolls if that is your thing. We usually get the All You Can Eat special. ($24.95 lunch/ $29.95 dinner) There is a specific menu for this and you have to sit at the bar. The options are nigiri or some simple rolls and hand rolls. The only rules are you must eat what you order and eat the rice. Oh and of course no sharing! Not that you will want to. You can order multiple times- so pace yourself. All the sushi is fresh made to order. My absolute fav thing here is the vegetable roll. I know weird for a sushi restaurant but I have never had anything like it. It is colorful and filled with a variety of veg that add pickle/ salty/slightly sweet/crunchy combo that is yum. The sashimi and nigiri are also very goodMy son got some gyoza today and it was very flavorful and the sauce was good too. Very large portion."
"Such a delicious find!Run, don't walk (brisk carry out business too). Everything was delish. Started with crab Rangoon, followed by hibatchi shrimp and steak, sweet and sour chicken and a dancing crab roll. We loved it all and we were thrilled with this find!!"
"We lived in New Orleans from 1995 to 2007. When I moved there, I was well aware of the city's illustrious dining reputation and that fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood was a big part of that legacy. What never occurred to me was that the bounty of fresh fish would also make New Orleans a great sushi town. We took plenty of advantage of that during the decade-plus we lived there. (Back in those days, the NOLA sushi joints weren't exactly adventurous, but there were a number of places where everything would always be super-fresh and well-executed--and very reasonably priced.)When we moved to Cincinnati, I knew our sushi habits were going to take a hit, but holy crap, I had no idea how big of one. For the most part, sushi was absolutely atrocious here in 2007. An embarrassment. We did eventually discover Ando, which was terrific, and Mei, which is very solid, too; there were also a couple of excellent Japanese options over on the Kentucky side, but they're like 30-40-minute drives for us. But damn, the ones closest to us, Ando and Mei (especially Ando), can break the bank if you don't watch it.But we basically gave up on trying to find a worthwhile mid-priced sushi place in or around the city. Not long ago, though, a little birdie told my wife about Mint Bistro, and although I was skeptical, the wife had some reason to trust this source. Our source was largely correct, thank Christ: Mint Bistro gives you a solid sushi experience without burning up your wallet. It's an Asian fusion place, which I probably reduces the sushi selection you get here, but there's plenty to put together a satisfying sushi meal. We've had some good nigiri (salmon, yellowtail, and fatty tuna have been pretty great, all with some of that melt-in-your-mouth butteriness), and we've really liked the Sunkissed Roll (pretty simple, just a spicy tuna roll topped with salmon and avocado) the couple of times we've had it.The couple of apps we've tried haven't been quite as good: seaweed salad is pretty basic and okay, but gyoza were quite bland. The proprietors have done a tasteful job with the place--it's a sharp-looking and comfortable little restaurant, and nicely lit. The staff has been welcoming, pleasant, and helpful, too.We have to drive at least 20 minutes to get to Mint, but so far it's easily worth the extra time compared to some of the Asian fusion/sushi places five minutes or less from our house (almost all of which we don't even go to). That ought to tell you a lot right there."
"I've come here many times mostly sitting on the habachi grill side. However this time we sat on the normal seating side. Honestly this was way more convenient because you can order the same food that's on the habachi side without the clanking. We were sat quickly and served in a timely manner. We started with the crab Rangoon and you get 6 and they were fabulous! Most of the table got the typical hibachi meal and it was also great as always but my mom got the chicken/shrimp teriyaki and she thought it was great but said if she did it again she'd just do the shrimp. Like usual we had leftovers so a nice portion!"
"So this little place is Magical to say the least. Thai food is an all time favorite of mine and this place hit the spot. The sushi and Nigiri was so fresh and delicious. They also have some exotic fish options for Nigiri that you don't usually see like the Clam that is pictured. If you've never had Vietnamese coffee, this is your sign it is the best coffee in the world in my opinion. For entrees, if you don't want sushi I 100% recommend the Mango Curry. I asked the waiter and this was his choice and it was a great one. For spice level I got a 2/3 and it was just spicy enough without being unbearable. If you're in Oakley (or not it's honestly worth the drive) stop in!"
"Overall , the meal was average and I feel like I am rounding up.The sushi rolls were standard and I enjoyed them as well as the chicken wings. Both entrees left much to be desired. The chicken katsu was dry, the breading was detached and it needed seasoning and a more substantial sauce. The bulgogi beef also lacked flavor and sauce."
"Delicious shrimp lo mein, salmon sushi, and miso soup for lunch today! Then we walked down the street and got some boba from their sister shop!"
"I visited this place for the first time for Cincinnati Taco Week. I must admit I was a little squeamish about trying Asian sushi tacos, even if they were only $2. I'm so glad I did because the 3 different ones I tried were all delicious! The wonton chicken tacos were small & you got 2 on a plate. Deep fried wonton shells filled with teriyaki chicken, Asian slaw, spicy mayo & green onions - divine. I also ordered 2 Nori tacos which are deep fried seaweed shells with sticky rice & vegetables - one with shrimp & one with steak. The shrimp taco was my favorite of the three but they were all wonderful. I can hardly wait to return to try their burritos!"
"I'm a fan!I'd heard of Fusabowl as one had opened up near me when I lived in Clifton. I had almost forgotten about it until we learned a new one had opened in Mason. This new location is small and I imagine people do mostly carry out. Everyone was very friendly and helpful since it was most of our first times there. I went for a bowl since I wasn't in much of a sushi mood. I got the Yum Yum bowl with half chicken, half tempura shrimp, and all of the standard veggies that came with it. I wanted to crab rangoon and was happy to see you could order 2, 4, or 6 pieces which let me get just the right amount. They have complimentary soy sauce and 1 bottle of sriracha if that's your thing. My food took less than 5 minutes to come out and was brought to my table by the cashier. I was very impressed with the size and amount of food you get. And everything was very good. I'm adding this to my lunch rotation!"
"Visited this location at lunch while traveling on business. I was shocked at how good it was! Sushi in a smaller midwest city could easily have been basic but this was an excellent surprise. Service was very quick, and the place nearly empty on a Wednesday afternoon. Sushi selection was decent, with all the usual rolls, sashimi, and apps. We shared several rolls as a group and all of them were top notch - perfect mix of savory and spicy. Miso soup was on point too. I'd definitely recommend it. It may not look like much from the outside in the middle of a little strip mall of shops, but you'll be pleasantly surprised."
"This is some of the best sushi in town. You would never guess based on the outside but this place is the real deal. Most sushi in Cincinnati is pretty bad but these guys deliver and have ridiculously low prices. I'm talking real sushi not deep fried trash. Fish is good. Rice is good. Rolls are good. Sashimi is perfect. Don't judge a book by its cover. Get here now."
"I love the atmosphere and all the notices along the wall of their community service. It makes you feel good about spending your money here. My favorite times were from the Korean side of the menu, especially the oreo shaved ice"
"Tried this place for the first time through Doordash and I have to say it did not disappoint, everything came out great, pretty tasty, warm, looked fresh and not as if it was cooked 3 hours ago, cant complaint. Really liked the egg roll and the BBQ boneless ribs, Although sometimes its really good to have more protein that rice, this time was a little too much protein, so much that at some point I had to eat a mouthful of the ribs with a little bite of rice to complement it, so the ratios where a little off. My wife liked her food, wasn't a big fan though, but to be fair she is not a fan of Chinese food. (Side note: It was my turn to pick what we would eat that weekend LOL). The donuts where delicious, and the chicken sticks where really good but was missing something, cant pin point it though, maybe it had too much Chinese five spice or something, but they where good. Dumplings where great and PACKED, seemed as if they where hand made. Lastly the prices compared to other places around here where really good, we where between this place and Fuji steakhouse, we ordered all this (See pictures) for the same cost of what one Sushi roll, an order of beef fried rice and 4 wings would've cost us on Fuji, so thats a big win for me... Definitely will give them a try again."
"Love this place! The Thai fried rice is my fave dish and loaded with meat and veggies (I usually get chicken). The chicken teriyaki is also great as well as the crispy pad Thai. If you're thirsty, get the Thai Iced Tea, it will not disappoint. The mango sticky rice dessert is great when mangos are in season. The owner is really nice and they offer curbside service for To Go orders which is super helpful with a newborn and kids in tow."
