"I'm honestly surprised I've never tried this place before. It's a true Cincinnati staple, and you know that if a place has Jeff Ruby's name on it, it's gonna be epic. This place has been named "best splurge" in Cincinnati by Citybeat numerous times and for good reason. If you want incredible steaks, this place is a top pick.My boss invited my lady and I out to dinner here. The building to this place was built in 1901 as a police patrol house and is listed as a historic building. The inside still has that classic historic feel all around. It's definitely not a huge building but does have lots of seating. The bar upstairs is really cool and almost has a speakeasy feel to it but without the password to get in. Of course their menu is mainly about big steaks but there are other options as well. Their wine menu is HUGE and loaded with great choices in all price ranges. They also have a menu with beer, spirits, and specialty cocktails. Our server, Howie, was absolutely awesome. He took the time to explain all of the menu and made great recommendations. Here's everything my lady and I enjoyed:Wine:-La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2017 tempranillo (Bottle)Appetizer:-West coast Oysters Dinner: -Barrel Cut Filet Mignon with a side of garlic mashed potatoes & Freddie Salad-Herb Crusted Filet with a side of garlic mashed potatoes & Freddie SaladEverything from start to finish was incredible. The oysters were super fresh, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the wine we picked paired amazingly well with it all. We couldn't even finish it all so we had some to take home. And though we didn't think we had room for any dessert, Howie highly recommended we try their peppermint ice cream, so we decided to have a couple scoops, and it was excellent. The peppermint wasn't overpowering at all. In fact I'd say it was just right and a great finish to an amazing meal.I'd definitely come here again for a splurge dinner. I might opt to sit in the bar area next timr if there's a table available. No wonder this place is such a Cincinnati staple and has been around for so long."
"This is where you bring your out of town family so they'll complain about something other than your relationship status. Flavors are solid. Presentation is hit or miss. Prices have increased about 5 bucks an entree since 2021ish. This is all to be expected. Your folks from the sticks will bitch about the price. They'll complain about the fusion foods (though they'll call it something else). They'll fuss about the decor. They are wrong. It's lovely. But don't worry, the whole family is welcome!Your uncle that calls your same sex spouse your "roommate" will be able to order his bud light. The staff may not judge him for this. Don't worry, I will. I'll be the one with the whole Brie appetizer and a glass of wine appreciating the show. Don't worry, Tiger, you got this."

"Food, ambience, and service are second to none! The 9 Oz filet is outstanding, seared with a proprietary blend of rub spices. The side dishes are also top notch!"
"We all got something different. I had the spinach salad and corn flake fish fingers, my husband and another had surf and turf, the redfish, redbeans and seafood. It was all fantastic but the service from Denise was outstanding. Best service I have had in a long time. Will definitely be back soon."
"Great food great service great view. Enjoyed my dinner here and to see all the memorabilia from rowing to football to boxing to car racing and baseball. A must go to when visiting Cincinnati . Don't miss out on the graters ice cream too. Nothing you have ever tasted. Parking is easy!! Make reservations. Trust!"
"This was our second visit to this restaurant. We were greeted immediately after entering. We had a reservation and was early, but still had to wait. We were a table of five. I love the antique feel of the property and its historical flair. We were greeted by several staff members while at our table. Our server, a Michael Douglas look alike was helpful and engaging. Our food was delicious overall. The bread was just okay, but I don't like rye. We chose a meatball appetizer that was pared with grits. It was flavorful. We chose a delmonico steak entree and a Duhon pork chop. Our sides were garlic mash and mac and cheese. Our food portions were substantial and we were able to finish our food for lunch the next day. Cookie and cream ice cream was a tasty treat to finish the night."
"We've had Tony's in various formats and it never fails to delight: dinning with reservation in the dining room, just popping in to sit in the bar and eat, late night for dessert and a drink at the bar, etc. The service and attention are top notch to match the high quality food and drink options."
"We've been here several times over the years, and it is one of our favorite places for a nice dinner.Today we each had their Baby Back Ribs and they were AWESOME!! They were fall-off-the-bone tender, juicy, great flavor, and just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Our server gave us damp towels for our fingers, but we were able to get every morsel of meat off the bones with only a fork and knife. I think they were perhaps the best ribs I have ever had anywhere - and that includes that famous inn in downtown Montgomery. The service was great as well - attentive without being intrusive."
"Ridiculous good. Amazing. This is the La Jabila Burrito. So tasty. We will definitely be back."
"I am not sure how to rate this place, as 5 stars does not seem like enough. From the hostess, to our waitress and then the food: all were top notch.I won't focus too much on service, as it was excellent. so lets do food.Food: We decided to do the 3 course meal for $65/pp. The Boursin berry salad was great, not just for a salad, but just plain delicious. My plate was cleaned.I had the 12oz strip which was cooked perfectly, coworker had the filet and crab cake, which he said were very good. Then choice two sides, it's just too much! I cant recall what I had besides the baked tater, but I focused on the meat! Did I mention the steak was magnificent?Desert was a toss up between the cheesecake and brûlée. The waitress said the brûlée was made daily in house, so that was it. Second best I have ever had, besides the now closed Chez Paul in Chicago.Overall: If I could eat here weekly, I would! Unfortunately, don't live in the area, but if I come back, this is a must visit!"
"My wife and I have been here twice now and have heard mixed reviews from just about everyone, some people raving and others so disappointed with the food, the price. The good: service is on point. Friendly servers, host, and staff. Manager/supervisor came by to ask how we were doing. I appreciate that touch. The appetizers (especially Blue Dog bread!) were delicious and well done. The bad: the entrees are not that good. This last time we went and got the Caribbean chicken - my wife said it was the most disappointing meal she'd had all month (it was a short month :)). The other meal was better but for what we paid ($100 for both) it was not worth the money. The ambience is great. It's a hopping place."
"This place is absolutely outstanding. First the motif is horse racing which totally fits in Lexington. It's just a classic old school steakhouse in many ways. The food is absolutely scrumptious. The crab cakes were some of the best I have ever had. Mostly crab and not filler. I also had the Bourbon Fillet for my main course. I am not usually a fillet fan but this came with shrimp and grits as well. Just an amazing piece of meet and the shrimp and grits were the bomb. Amazing. Service was pretty good but could have been better. Our meal was delayed somewhat and we had to ask the waitress about it. In a place this expensive where you pay $80 or more for a steak, you shouldn't have to ask. They should come to you. Still service was better than most places so it isn't affecting my stars. Finally - the Old Fashioned they serve is ridiculously sweet. They told me it was sweet. It was so sweet and strong I couldn't drink it. The server took it back and brought me a Manhattan instead which was much better. But this is a matter of taste. Just letting readers know in case they are interested."

A swing and a miss for what's supposed to be a tried and true Cincinnati favorite. Woof were we disappointed -- it was a combination of the little things that made the entire experience lack luster. The only thing that was decent were the wait staff and the drinks; both the waitress and bus boy were so sweet and very accommodating, and the drinks were actually pretty good, but at $18/per, I hope the next diners are cheap dates. The restaurant vibe was like a dive bar. We sat at a high top table with barely enough elbow room to accommodate our plates and silverware, felt very exposed and un-intimate. Not the vibe for a date night.I'll say that we don't eat at steakhouses often because we can cook a better steak at home and for far cheaper. Our meal was $285 for soup (fine), salad (store bought croutons, brown lettuce, decent portion), an 8oz medium and very dry filet, a 12oz medium rare overcooked filet, creamed corn (served cold), brussel sprouts (served room temp), chili spread (a random cup of whole roasted chili peppers??), and horseradish (this was as it should have been). We went because we had a $200 gift card from our wedding a few years ago-- but we will not be going back and I suggest you don't waste your money.

After hearing so many folks rave about the food here, and their versatility of making dishes gluten-free and dairy-free, I finally made it to this establishment.I ordered the Shanghai Stir-Fry with the tamari sauce on the side (this sauce is the gluten-free option they offer for this dish). The dish is very flavorful, even without the sauce, a tad spicy. The vegetables were very fresh and the rice cooked perfectly. This dish could feed 2-3 people, a very large portion for the price. My companion ordered the Moroccan Lamb Chops, a side of mashed potatoes, and a side of roasted potatoes. They enjoyed the lamb chops and mashed potatoes, but was not a fan of the roasted potatoes nor the quinoa that accompanied the lamb chops. All portions of food were very generous for the price point. After viewing the website pics, and their menu prices, I must admit I was expecting the restaurant to be a bit more upscale. My companion and I both dressed up, and were far over dressed for this establishment. We easily could have worn jeans or sweats and blended in just fine. The walkway to the door is uneven, not conducive for walking in heels. The exterior dining area has plastic around it, to close it in for the cooler weather I gather. The restaurant is older but seemed a bit under cared for, and could use some cleaning up.We made a reservation and while waiting to be seated, two people, who were staff, nearly pushed us out of the way to get through, without saying excuse me. At first I thought they were patrons, until I later saw them refilling water glasses for patrons. Theses staff members were wearing jeans and t shirts. All of the staff wore whatever they chose, it was difficult to decipher staff from patron. I suppose all the hype from others was just that, hype. I doubt I will return to this establishment.

Tony's is one of the best restaurants in Lexington. It's located on Main Street right across from Rupp Arena. You can have a romantic date, a group dinner, or solid conversation with strangers at the bar. This was only my third trip to Tony's even though I lived in Lexington for six years. The prices always intimidated me, but every time I've gone, it's worth every penny. I had two Old Fashioneds, one with Basil Hayden and the other with Woodford. Both were fantastic. The bread is a perfect way to soak in the alcohol and prepare for a delicious meal. I didn't order any appetizers myself, but tried a few PEI mussels, which were pretty darn good. The biggest surprise of the night for me was the Seared Ahi Tuna Tartare. One of my friends ordered it and when I tried it, I was blown away! I'm getting that next time. The Sir Barton steak was the perfect size and a nice medium rare. The Mac and cheese was great as always. The truffle wedges were solid too, but I was too full by the time I reached that plate. For the prices, you get very generous portions. If you go with somebody, I highly recommend splitting dishes. That will go a long way. Final shoutout to our server. He had a lot of orders and checks to keep track of, and he got to us before glasses were empty and was pretty attentive for a busy night.

This was a lovely little Cajun restaurant just outside of Louisville! Service was good, but the food was even better. I had the shrimp manale, and the chef came and told us the sauce was his grandmothers old recipe. Overall, delicious!

Hands down the best ribs I have ever eaten. I usually avoid ribs because they are high fat and high calorie and whatnot, but these were so famous I had to try.WOW - so soft and actually falling off the bone. They didn't even seem very fatty at all. My husband absolutely loves! That has had quite a lot of them and he said these were the best he has ever had as well. That barbecue sauce was also so unique and flavorful so I totally see why this place is known for its barbecue ribs! He ordered the 2-items combo item where we got the grilled chicken, ribs, side of broccoli, sweet potato.I absolutely love how the broccoli was steamed and not fried or roasted with oil or anything like that. It was so perfectly soft and tender and yummy. Sweet potato side dish was also delicious. Perfectly soft and creamy and it gave it that delicious honey butter on the side which was unbelievable. I thought the dessert husband really wanted to try that Chocolate Volcano Cake and WOW. It was hard to pick one item on the dessert menu because everything seems so delicious but really glad we went with this. The chocolate cake was half and warm and gooey and to yummy and went perfectly well the ice cream on the side. They actually served ice cream from Graeter's which we were very grateful for. Apparently they usually only give the vanilla, but the server knew we were visiting and celebrating our anniversary so he added an extra scoop of the special Midnight Snack. What a beautiful dessert!

We came here for our 10th Valentine's Day together this year. The service we had at the bar was phenomenal. I definitely recommend they were great. The drinks was great. The meals were out of this world. The dessert was incredible. Obviously an upscale steakhouse with a wonderful ambience. We even picked up a signature cigar for my husband. The quality of the cigar was out of this world. The ice cream cigar mousse dessert we had was also one of the best presentations I've ever seen in my life. Jeff Rubys completely out of their selves with this one. To top it off, we had reservations at 10 PM and normally when you have reservations late at a restaurant, you're not expecting to have quite quality service by that point in the evening, but man they were just on point. Amazing staff highly recommend taking your loved ones here.

We always have such a great experience here. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and there's nothing on the menu that isn't good! The seasonal cocktails are fun and imaginative, and every dish we've tried is delicious. I definitely recommend a reservation for the busier nights of the week, because it can get packed quickly.

"This is quickly becoming my favorite Italian restaurant in the Cincinnati area. Located right across the river in Covington, you can find this legit Italian restaurant tucked away among the historic East row Victorian homes. Not to mention, this is the Italian restaurant where the movie Rain Man was filmed. If you make your way into the bar area, you can see some old posters and paraphernalia. The food is great! If you're looking for a non-commercialized version of Italian food that feels like it has its roots literally in Italy, this is it. Bread is provided, but if you are hungry, upgrade to the garlic bread. Get a side of meatballs to chomp down on while you wait for your food--it's worth it!! Make sure you ask for a box, because you will definitely leave with leftovers!"
"Last night two of my friends and I went to Palmer's to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. It wasn't stifling hot outside so we opted to sit outside so that we could enjoy the view of the lane. I definitely recommend sitting outside if it's possible. I had the peach sangria to drink and it was light and refreshing--perfect for a summer evening. We split the calamari for an appetizer and it was good--not huge portions but the peanut sauce was a tasty change from the typical marinara sauce that you get at most places. I had the Caribbean chicken salad as my entree and it was okay. It wasn't served with very much dressing but I was able to get more from our server. I had a taste of my friend's shrimp and grits and it was outstanding. I would definitely recommend that next time!"
"Great local spot that serves fresh made, seasonal, locally produced food. Every time I visit I'm happy with the food and service. I decided on the biscuits and gravy this morning. The gravy was velvety smooth and the sage was a nice addition. The biscuit was fluffy, buttery and filling but not a lead brick in my stomach. I added an egg on top. The next time you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal. A+!"
"Loved the holiday decor, seemed so festive and warm. The staff was outstanding. Especially working on Christmas Eve. Our meals were tasty and well prepared. I'd recommend Prime to others."
"Food for lunch buffet is n ever disappointing.Several different dishes and meat to choose from. The price has gone up,so we go 2 or 3 times a year for birthdays and special occasions! The servers are polite.I still say it is Lexington #1 in Indian food."
"We arrived early, an hour before our 5:30pm reservation, just to walk around and enjoy the riverfront views. We stopped at the inside bar to order drinks, and found outside seats under an umbrella that was perfect for enjoying our friends! At 5:30, we checked in for dinner and were told that our table was ours for only one and half hours, because today is a holiday. Knowing that we normally take about two hours to dine, we hurriedly ordered pizza for our appetizer and tea; both arrived quickly. We proceeded to order a small meal, only a salad, because we felt too rushed to enjoy more within the hour and half allotted for this holiday dinner reservation. Our pizza and salad was delicious, and our tea refreshing. Sadly, we didn't have time to order a main course or dessert, so I can offer little more to this review. Our server was efficient, attentive, and checked on us serval times to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. He did bring the check just before 7:00pm. We paid at the table and departed.Overall, I wish we had been able to stay longer during dinner, I would have enjoyed tasting the Hot Brown or maybe the Shrimp and Grits, but it wasn't meant to be I guess."
"Great food and service! And, they have the best tator tots!I made a reservation for dinner while traveling in the area and made my way to the restaurant. Plenty of parking in the shopping center, and the inside is warm and inviting.Beau was my server and was awesome. One of the best servers I have encountered in a while. I was dining alone and he exceeded all expectations. Often when I dine alone, I kind of feel like I am placed as a lower priority with service, or they forget about me. Beau provided the best service and guided through menu and suggestions and recommendations. For food, I went with the Durango Burger, Medium well, and low heat ($16.50). The beef is high quality and the burger is chile spiced, with pepper jack cheese, fried onions, and a roasted garlic ranch dressing. I went with tator tots as the side and they were perfect. Crunchy, delicious, not to greasy, and not overcooked. Took a piece of carrot cake to go (for later) and it was delicious and was nice to have dessert in the hotel.Great location! Top quality across the board and will definitley eat at Firebirds again!"
"Amazing birthday meal! We love Merrick. Best steak in Lexington. And we always get the wedge salad. The blue cheese dressing is absolute perfection. Our waiter was prompt and accurate. I love their updated patio area and new inside bar area - it's more casual and modern, but still charming!"
"Love love love this place. The space is super fun, the FoodChain partnership makes me so happy, and the possibility of pairing things with beer is so good. There's almost always a delicious special (think apple cake, or maybe even pulled pork), but the menu options are always a hit for me. Black eye and kale salads are such good sides, but the fries are pretty salad.Bonus is that you can scan your QR code on the table to get it delivered to you, which makes it super easy!"
"I hate to be basic like this, but some friends and I went out to have what ended up being a "girl dinner" recently. Ya know what, scratch that, I will proudly admit that "girl dinner" -- a dinner mostly composed of several appetizers -- may be my new favorite thing. And Martini Italian Bistro was a great place for this. We ordered several: baked goat cheese, spinach al forno and bruschetta plus the caprese salad (definitely shareable) and a margherita pizza. These came out quick, and our waiter was a help recommending what we should order. My favorite was the spinach al forno and caprese. I could eat those any day. We also got cocktails (of course). I got a cocktail with berries and bourbon in it. Would definitely recommend. It also helped that we were easily able to get a table.Martini Italian Bistro is a solid dining option in the Paddock Shops."
"Service is always excellent, warm inviting atmosphere cozy bar area perfect for a date night dinner!"
"Lots to choose from in menu items. Great gumbo and oysters. Good service and friendly staff."
"Adam was phenomenal. Great service and our meal was terrific! Will come back again. Thank you."
"Great experience for our first time for their weekend brunch! I enjoyed the gnocchi breakfast meal with coffee! I would highly suggest their brunch for something different. They have great prices for mimosas although I did not try."
"Fantastic experience and food. My girlfriend and I went in for a happy hour appetizer and beer. We let the server know this and he was soo kind and engaging (I think his name is Ryland). We sat at his table for several hours, as we were catching up on each others lives. I reminded us, several times, to hang out as long as we wanted and just stop him if we need anything. The bruschetta was delightful and all ingredients tasted very fresh. My girlfriend got the French onion soup and said it was amazing. She ended up getting the basil pasta to-go and later messaged me that "that basil pasta was legitttt."Beautiful building inside that looks like an old historic home, with lovely live music."
"Disclaimer: My phone didn't eat first this time--I was too eager and devoured my meal right away!I started with the fried green tomatoes, which were fantastic. For the main course, I ordered the filet, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything came out exactly as ordered, including the side of mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The filet was served with asparagus, all perfectly prepared. The portion sizes of the sides were generous, so I'd recommend sharing them; I couldn't finish them on my own.The atmosphere was inviting and fun, with the option to hang out outside in comfy seating, perfect for enjoying an appetizer or meal while taking in the view. While the prices were definitely on the higher side, I felt they were fair given the quality of the food and the overall experience."
"Good vibes and flavors. Visited on a Friday night and placed a dine in order. The food was at the table in about 10 minutes and the mains were both wonderful. The Mauna Kea Chicken Katsu was perfectly described on the menu: sweet, spicy and buttery. Loved it!My wife's Kalua Pig Plate looked so good that I had to try it, and darn it if it wasn't tender and soaked in a savory sauce that almost made me second guess getting the chicken. On the side of each dish were two scoops of white rice and the option to choose another side. Flip a coin between the Mac salad and the potato salad as neither stood out other than in comparison to the rice. But the mains are where it's at!"
"Great Food ! Service was great and good price for the food. Its very convenient for pickup"
"I usually come to Jay's for restaurant week and it is always an amazing meal. The spiced bourbon salmon is probably one of my favorite items on the menu. The sides that come with it are mashed sweet potatoes and the horseradish mashed potatoes. I don't even like horseradish but the mashed potatoes are delicious! All the flavors and the bourbon sauce meld perfectly together. I also had the seafood linguine and it had the perfect amount of sauce and was loaded with seafood. This was a great portion size and I was able to get multiple meals out of this place. The lobster bisque had amazing flavor to it and I would definitely get it again. I didnt have the clam chowder this time but that is also a favorite of mine. The only thing I did not like as much was the chocolate mousse. The presentation caught me off guard because it looked like ice cream. It also was very thick, dense, and starchy (like eating chalk) and Im used to a lighter, smoother consistency. It wasn't bad and I did eat it all but it just wasn't what I was expecting. I have tried their key lime pie and flourless chocolate cake and those were phenomenal. They get 5 stars because of that. Next time I will just stick to what I know. I will definitely be coming back!"
"I went to this place for lunch. It's hidden behind some other restaurants on Richmond Road. They had wall to wall televisions for sports. The service was super fast. Salsa was amazing. I ordered the spicy burrito and it did not disappoint. Check this place out."
"The food is great very large portions. The service is great. Lots of people working. Take care of your drinks. Homemade bread is awesome. Too easy to get into wheelchair accessible. Lots of people when we are there."
"Delicious as always!! We don't get out to El Coyote very often any more because it's far from us. But it is so worth the drive!! All of our meals were perfect. Service was great! And I had the best margarita ever! Yum!!"
"Great Mexican food at affordable prices. The dining area isn't fancy, but the staff is friendly and the food is really delicious. Don't forget to try their great margaritas!"
