I always love these; amazing food with fun nostalgia. And Jolly's is a legit old school drive in with an 80 year history. I got a Chili Cheese Footlong without Onions. It was very good, a little heavy on the mustard to the point it over powered the chili so I will get it without mustard next time. The French Fries are out of this world. Cooked and salted perfectly. The onion rings are just as amazing. Perfectly crunchy outside a delicious sweet onion on the inside. The Root Beer like all Root Beer stands was absolutely delicious. It was hard to drink it slowly. Also if you make a trip to Jolly's you MUST get a bag of their popcorn! It's better than movie theater popcorn!! It's super buttery and the perfect amount of salt. My friend calls it " contraband" if she goes without her kids."

Gloria Z. "Charming little diner! Actually much bigger inside than I thought. Lots of booths, plus tables- including two that could hold a group of eight. Plus a tiny counter. I wanted to sit there but there were no open seats. They've got a real honest to goodness jukebox. I was sorely tempted to drop some money into it, but since I was solo on my first visit, obviously not a regular, plus it was Sunday morning, I opted against it. Next time with courage.Service was prompt and food came quickly. Eggs over easy were closer to over medium, alas. But everything was fresh and tasty. Coffee was hot and strong. Refill was offered.I brought my husband back a fried bologna sandwich on Texas toast. He devoured it quickly and said it was excellent. Lots of kitschy decor with a dual theme: Coffee mugs, and the UK Wildcats.Restaurant is attached to (but independent of) a convenience store so there's a good amount of parking. Cash only. I'll return!"

Great service, fresh bread brought to the table with butter, the dark bread was very good, soft and tasty. Hubby had the clam chowder and absolutely loved it. My feiend had the gumbo and said she would come back just for that. She also had the lunch special, a grilled chicken sandwich served with chips and ate the entire sandwich so obviously it was good. I had the chicken pastry puff, that was a puff with chicken in a cream sauce, brocolli, tomatoes and mushrooms layered between the puff. I requested no mushroom, but when it came the mushrooms were in the dish, but the server took it back and had the kitchen make another one. That was my only complaint, that my food came out much later than the others. Nice atmosphere, easy to access on Bardstown road with street parking. They also have outdoor seating. It is a loyisville staple, i would recommend. Nice bar and several dinning areas"

We were seated quickly and had a cute server with pretty blue eyes named Adam. He checked with us several times but we hadn't seen each other in years so we needed more time to make our choices. We started with the fried pickles. They were yummy! It tasted like they made their own dipping sauce....bonus!I tried three samples of beer, pear, strawberry and guava. They offered 48 beer choices....wow, I was impressed. But I was more impressed that Adam listened to what I liked and brought me three very viable choices. It was between the pear and guava. The strawberry was a little too tart for me. I went with a guava which was a light IPA. I highly recommend you try it! My friend who doesn't like IPA ordered it as her second drink.I ordered the Po' Boy Kingfish blackened shrimp sandwich, minus the bread, with onion rings. The shrimp were deliscious and I really loved the bourbon sriracha sauce, spicy yet sweet. And the onion rings were lightly breaded, hot and crispy!I would highly recommend you try Patties & Pints now because once the word gets out this place is going to be packed all the time!"

Mack's Tavern

Samantha F. "Mack's is a local bar with a divey-feel. It is clean and the bartenders are always nice. I personally love the be-dazzled women's room with rhinestones glued on the walls, toilets, and stalls. There's a good selection of beer on tap - your traditional stuff, and a full bar for cocktails. If you're looking for your glass of wine ladies, be prepared for the dive-bar selections. They have a popcorn machine which levels them up in my opinion. Mack's Pizza is supposed to be great, but it reminds me of typical Dayton bar pizza: thin, cardboard-esque, and greasy. It does the trick though if you're snacky. Darts in the front and pool in the back. There's a few other games as well.In the summer you'll note a larger biker crowd which has reserved parking near the front. Mack's boasts a small patio, but usually I find this is for the smokers.I will forewarn you, while I've had several great nights at Mack's with friends. I've also encountered a "rougher" crowd looking to start something with my friends for no reason. They crowded us out of the back pool table where we'd been all evening, and one of the drunk guys threatened violence against my sister. It didn't come down to fists, but was close. While these people are no reflection of Mack's as an establishment, it does bear warning that you might encounter problem people.Overall, I like Mack's and would likely go back. I will however, quickly leave if I get the slightest feeling that an unsavory group is around."

There are more tables than there used to be under the previous ownership that focused more on carryout. My wife and I stopped in for a date night and sampled various dishes on the menu.We started with a wonderful cheese board ($14 for 3 kinds of cheese and accoutrements). The selection of cheeses was a great mix and we really enjoyed this delicious start to the meal.My wife spotted others snacking on the truffle popcorn ($6) and had to give it a try. The flavor was definitely unmistakable, and while it's not my favorite thing, it was at least worth a try.We split the smoke chicken sandwich ($14 with a choice of side dish). This adds pickled jalapeno, white bbq sauce, shredded lettuce, and Dutch's unique "American" cheese crumbles. This was a big sandwich and was very good. The potato salad on the side was a nice mixture of local red potato, mustard seed, and mayo.My wife also had to try their butternut squash bisque ($6) which she declared the best she's had. Overall we had a nice meal and we should be back in the future!"

Richard Walton C. "I never knew this place existed until I ate at Greeks last week in the next block. When I searched for Greeks to check in, lo and behold I found out about this place. So naturally I just had to check it out. The storefront is nothing special but once you pass through the doorway, you find an upscale decorated establishment ready to serve your fine dining needs. 21 North has two large dining rooms, a full bar area, and a hostess lectern. Parking is strictly on the street with angled parking across the street facing the courthouse. Once the courthouse closes, probably around five, I would imagine a lot of those spaces will open up. I arrived at 4:30 pm and got a parallel spot right in front of the restaurant. There were two more available on my side of the street as well.I ordered the Beer Battered Fish, Shrimp & Chips with coleslaw. FYI: The menu prices list on their Yelp listing are out of date. My bad for not posting a new one. This entree is now $36 as well as the Beef Filet but they are the most expensive items, everything else is scaled down from there. I'll post an updated menu the next time I stop in which will most likely be very soon.I didn't go with the Spicy Horseradish Cocktail Sauce and substituted ketchup instead. The coleslaw was okay, a little milky for my taste but still good. The tartar sauce was very good. The shrimp were big. It took 2-3 bites to finish one. Two large filets of their fish which was light on batter around thickly cut portions of fish. All extremely good. I managed to finish all of it and still have room for dessert. Then there was a dump truck load of french fries covering the entire large plate, lol. Two or three people could share those fries easily. These were their plain fries, NOT the Truffle Parmesan Fries. If I wasn't watching my weight I would have tried to devour all those fries because they were excellent, cooked perfectly, exactly the way I like them. For dessert, I chose the Italian Lemon Cake. It was the bomb! Not a huge portion (YAY) to help you avoid feeling over stuffed. I'll be ordering that dessert again for sure. It tasted so good. It wasn't too heavy on the lemon flavor which I loved. Looks like I have found a new regular restaurant for my dining needs. I want to try the filet steak for dinner next and one of their sandwiches for lunch."

My parents and I were not in a rush, so overall we had a pleasant time, but service was slow, and it seemed like they were either understaffed or still trying to figure things out. I will be happy to return in a month or two to see where things have changed because this place does have a lot of potential. The interior is super cute and the drinks were amazing. I tried the rose margarita, my mom had the Italian margarita and the drinks alone or worth it to come back. Chips and salsa, pretty basic, but can't go wrong. Other food was pleasant, not life-changing, but a solid tex-mex place to come back to. I hope that they iron out a few more details, get the space to move a little bit more smoothly, and I will be happy to bring more people in!"

The bartenders were adequate. They were not crazy busy. Ordered an Irish Green Tea which was okay. Watched him make it. Didn't put any sweet/sour mix in it, so it was lacking. I got it as a drink instead of a shot, so I had time to taste it. Other than that, we just shared a dessert. Something chocolate, don't even remember what it was, but it was fine. Not too memorable.Watched numerous employees get off work here and begin drinking. We also watched the bartenders do shot after shot. While we were there maybe 1 - 1.5 hours. We saw both bartenders do at least six shots. One was doing Vegas bombs and the other was doing vodka shots with OJ chasers. At least I think it was vodka. I couldn't see the bottle. At one point, a few servers got off shift and walked up to the side of the bar. One of them did a shot, but not just a shot. It was an entire rocks glass filled with Jameson. It was impressive. This bar was okay. No idea how the food was. Staff was fine but not overly friendly. The entertainment was watching the staff drink.
