"Ordered take out using their website. A little cumbersome when checking out, but otherwise is easy to enter food selections. I ordered the sushi deluxe and a small miso soup. The menu did not appear to indicate that the entree already came with a small miso soup and a salad with traditional ginger dressing. The freshness and size of the sushi entree was phenomenal! In fact, to my disappointment, I couldn't finish it all!The food was ready when I expected it to be and the staff was quite pleasant and helpful. I had input a special request for low sodium soy sauce. Not only did I receive regular soy sauce, but only one measly packet. Certainly insufficient for the amount of sushi - 9 pieces of Nigirizushi and one tuna roll. The selection of fish was excellent. All in all, I would order from here again!"

"Isaac was super sweet thank you for your kind service. Veggie spring rolls were so tasty crunch wrap supreme. Who is Mr sushi and why did he?Thank you kisses"
"This is some of the best sushi in town. You would never guess based on the outside but this place is the real deal. Most sushi in Cincinnati is pretty bad but these guys deliver and have ridiculously low prices. I'm talking real sushi not deep fried trash. Fish is good. Rice is good. Rolls are good. Sashimi is perfect. Don't judge a book by its cover. Get here now."
"We were in town (Dayton) for a conference and had a hankering for sushi. This place seemed very popular, as I heard a regular chatting with the owner. If my hearing was correct, I overheard them say they were opening another restaurant. That would be nice, as there wasn't much parking and the restaurant was small.I got the Crab Rangoon (8 pieces) and it was skillfully prepared. They were very generous with the dipping sauce too. I also got Egg Drop Soup, and it was the largest serving of soup I have ever had! For $2.50!My husband got two different sushis. Unfortunately, the Sweet 16 Roll was unlike any type of sushi one could expect, being extremely sweet. I'll tell you why: spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, and fried BANANA, wrapped in soybean nori, with MANGO sauce on top. It was sweetness overload, and the pieces were too large. In fact, it appeared that there were a lot of items on the menu with mango sauce. The second sushi was some type of spicy tuna, and the pieces were too small. The disparity between the tastes and sizes made for a weird experience. But guess what? We returned the next night with six friends, and they enjoyed their meals. It was nice that OSU852 had an extensive menu to suit everyone's taste."
"This is almost always a stop for me when I'm in town!!! Wabi Sabi never disappoints!!I usually get the fan favorite... Sunday Morning (if you are new to sushi, definitely a good one to try!) Plus they have so many menu options, I wish I lived closer so I could try them all!!We always get seated so fast, and the workers are so nice! I have never waited for than 20 mins for my food to come out, even when it's packed so I know they are all hard workers!! It is a smaller sized restaurant, but they have even more seating in the back that you can't see from the front!!This is an awesome sushi place that I definitely recommend!! I will be back next time I'm in town!!! Till then... enjoy the sushi for me!!"
"Simply venue with good food options and affordable prices. We've liked the edamame, several sushi rolls and egg rolls so far. Quick service for pick up in a convenient location not far off the highway."
"Worth going out of your way! If you're not sure about Korean, and you like Japanese cuisine, this is a perfect place to try the Korean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love this place more and more over the years."
"everything was super yummy! the pot stickers were slightly crispy and the filling was really good. my dish was also delicious and well balanced. i "cooked" the rice a little longer to get crispy rice and it was so good! the server was really helpful. my favorite was the red bean dessert. out of my normal palette but wow, so good."
"Solid option for Hibachi in the NKY area. After we were seated the server took our drink order. Beer and waters came out pretty quickly. However a few of us ordered cocktails and it took a while to receive them. I was not super impressed with the cocktails. They had a very artificial sweet taste to them. Miyako does portion sizes well. I had three meals out of my one order, and it tasted delicious. I chose the chicken hibachi. If you are going with another person definitely go for the dinner for two option-it's the most bang for your buck!"
"Excellent service from everyone. Good is exceptional. The surprise was three tools when I ordered Spicy Combo Roll. All delicious. My husband had Rice with beef. We enjoyed our meal on a cold winter night."
"I ordered the hibachi steak and chicken with fried rice, plus broccoli and onion added on (for $1 each) and an order of crab Rangoon. Added a ginger sauce for $.50 too. The hibachi was good overall. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well. The rice, broccoli, onion and mushroom all seemed to be made from fresh produce too. The steak was quite chewy, so I wouldn't order it again. The yum yum sauce and ginger sauce were good but a little runny. Crab Rangoon was standard. Crispy and full of cream cheese. It comes with sweet and sour sauce as opposed too sweet chili. I only did carryout so my interaction with staff was limited - not super welcoming but they were dead so probably just bored. Overall I would order from there again."

My favorite cheap sushi restaurant in Cincinnati. Very basic restaurant and not somewhere you go for the ambiance. The quality is good for the price. Lots of options for sushi rolls.

I found this place on Yelp during a trip to Cincy which landed me at a hotel right across the street. After browsing through their menu I decided to go ahead and order some takeout. It was easy because I could order directly through their Yelp page. I placed an order for veggie spring rolls, a house salad, the Wild Summer roll, and rock salt shrimp. It was ready in about 30 minutes and goodness, it was a lot of food. I had enough left over for a snack later in my trip and it came out to about $35. The spring rolls came as an order of four. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The rock salt shrimp came with jalapenos, which made it a bit spicy, but the yum-yum sauce was the perfect condiment for it. The house salad was basic, like what you would expect, with a yummy ginger dressing. The sushi roll was enormous and I couldn't even come close to finishing it. Thankfully my hotel room had a fridge. I can totally recommend this spot. Word on the Yelp street is that 3.5 stars for sushi/Asian fusion restaurants is the sweet spot.

Had an excellent meal here tonight!! Started with seaweed salad, edamame and crab rangoon. We both got different rolls. I'm vegetarian so I got the avocado & cucumber rolls...dipped in soy sauce...delicious! I got hot tea which was a nice mild tea, perfect for our meal. The presentation for our meal was 10 out of 10!!!!! There was dry ice floating out of a small vase, lights, and the food was partly on a bamboo boat and partly on a thick dark green leaf. They have cut their menu down; no more General Taos for example. But their focus now is sushi. We love this local gem.

Always amazing sushi, cocktails, and service in a casual setting! I usually only order the sushi, so I'm not sure about the rest of the menu, but I can't imagine it's not all excellent.

Well let's start by saying I have been here in the past and I remember a nice well taken care of place. Today I walk in and it looks like an explosion. At the door is the register, boxes, plates, stacks of register paper rolls, etc. Food, I started with the miso soup which was a half bowl full and was ok. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, tuna and octopus. So I would have given it a 4 if not for that. Food is good but atmosphere does not make it great. Would come back though if I'm area and craved sushi. However, they do offer military discounts which is a plus and brings me back from a 3 star to a 4.

"The food and tea was delicious. The Onigiri and Karaage combo was filling, the chicken was perfectly cooked with a light crisp. Their Genmaicha tea was flavorful. I was given a complementary chocolate coffee dessert that was rich but not overly sweet. Their yuzu dessert was so fluffy and light with a perfect zest. Everyone is very friendly and kind. I definitely loved the ambience of the café as it was very soft and cozy. They are dog friendly. When I walked in they approached the dogs and started praising my pups which I appreciated."
"The food here is a grade or two above the typical Chinese fare. The service has always been good and friendly and the restaurant is clean."
"Great service from the minute we walked in. The food was amazing and the bluefin was to die for! Very cozy atmosphere. If you're in the mood for Sushi this is where you want to eat it!"
"My sister and I were around the corner at Top Golf and were craving sushi! I checked out Yelp recs and stumbled upon Sushi Samurais and I'm so glad I did! It was delicious! We shared the ocean crab roll, Hawaiian roll & tuna lava roll. Great added touch of real chopsticks instead of disposables. Delicious!"
"Honestly this place was where my husband and I had our first lunch togather. We stopped to have dinner there tonite. The place looks very different! They have all the tables spaced out, and even got rid of the ugly carpet. The population was pretty sparce. The waitress was attentive and prompt. I did a sunshinrle rol, tuna roll and a green roll. It was pretty all right. My husband did a pick 2 (chicken and steak). We enjoyed our meal and our waitress kept our drinks topped off.General population, I would recommend this place. If you have seafood allergy (like my husband) i would not recommend it right off the bat. We informed them he has allergies, but half way through his meal he had triggered reaction typically associsted with indirect contact (so maybe a tool that sliced shrimp was used to cut veggies). They may not be as familiar with allergen cross contamination.Overall good place unless you have allergies"
"Great food and staff. Parties are always fun! If it's a weekend make sure to call ahead."
"The food here is very good and the service is great. The ambiance is okay. Employees here are very friendly, snd hrlpful. One if my favorite places to eat."
"I have missed this place so much. Every time we come here we are not disappointed. We also leave so full we are about to pop. They do have some plates and hibachi, but we come for the sushi. They make a variety of fancy rolls if that is your thing. We usually get the All You Can Eat special. ($24.95 lunch/ $29.95 dinner) There is a specific menu for this and you have to sit at the bar. The options are nigiri or some simple rolls and hand rolls. The only rules are you must eat what you order and eat the rice. Oh and of course no sharing! Not that you will want to. You can order multiple times- so pace yourself. All the sushi is fresh made to order. My absolute fav thing here is the vegetable roll. I know weird for a sushi restaurant but I have never had anything like it. It is colorful and filled with a variety of veg that add pickle/ salty/slightly sweet/crunchy combo that is yum. The sashimi and nigiri are also very goodMy son got some gyoza today and it was very flavorful and the sauce was good too. Very large portion."
"Can not hate on this place at all. Was staying at a hotel near the campus and while out exploring I found this place that has happy hour pricing and it was happy hour! Half price rolls were the order of the day and they were good size and tasty. The service was spot on and it wasn't too crowded. Not too far from campus, this would make a good spot for reasonably priced food for students. The inside was done up nice, so this is no fly by night dump setup to fleece folks out of their hardearned money. If you are around the UC campus then head on over for a good lunch or dinner!"
"The food was very good and the service was great. It could use a little bit more decoration inside but everything else more than makes up for that"
"Excellent hibachi, always fresh to order and tons of options to select from. Take out is always hot and ready. Hibachi was fun and perfectly cooked. Chefs interact with guests and serve perfect portions."
"I have been going here for years for my Japanese food fix! You can go during lunch depending on the day and get more bang for your buck. The staff are always welcoming. You can sit in booths or have a table where they cook infront of you. I have celebrated birthdays here, got together with friends and never have had a bad experience here. The sushi selection is good here and fairly prices overall. Definitely go check them out!"
"La Hiro is located right near the Sakura Japanese Grocery store over in Florence. It's quite a bit of a drive, but we stopped by when I came back to town from my flight into CVG.I assumed that this place specialized in sweets since it's in the name, and so I was determined to try something out. We came in around 2:30 PM and they still had the lunch menu available, so that was a relief since usually dinner is expensive, though I'm not super knowledgeable about their menu or the differences to say the least.Generally, their dishes aren't too terribly expensive. I ordered a Tonkatsu and the SO ordered sashimi. The tonkatsu was about the size of my palm, came with sauce and a mini salad. All of it came with miso and salad. The SO's sashimi came with 3 pieces of each fish and also came with miso and salad. Just the way that my dish was presented, you could tell there was something a little bit different. The owners take a lot of time 'designing' and plating their dishes. You could really see and taste the 'homemade' love with an inkling of elegance. While the portions aren't excessive, and the prices might not be completely on point (speaking specifically to non-main kind of entrees), you are eating a meal made with a lot of heart. This is really the first time I've experienced this. The whole place bleeds of heart and you can tell that it's a restaurant where the owners had dreamed of opening it, where the husband wants to serve fresh fish, and the wife wants to make delicious and beautiful desserts.I was bummed that they didn't have the green tea cake, and even though it was late by bakery standards, they had many cakes and sweets still available. It doesn't seem like all of them are on the menu, so you I'm assuming she's always experimenting with new techniques and flavors. I opted for a raw cheesecake with a jello top with cherry blossoms, or sakura, imbedded. The dessert was so delicate yet rich. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't heavy at all. I could have eaten the entire slice by myself! Overall, the bill came out to be about 26$ for 2 people, filling me up quite well, though leaving him a bit on the half full side, and with tip bumped that up to $30. It's not any more expensive than other legit Japanese restaurants, though I wish it were closer! I'll definitely be coming back to try some more cakes :)"
"The sashimi was fresh and so was the salad. I enjoyed the light dressing that accompanied the salad. It had a ginger citrus note that was not too sweet. I also tried the hot stone bibambop and really enjoyed my meal. The flavors were spot on and the sauce was killer! This is a really cute restaurant with friendly customer service. The waitress checked on me multiple times and made sure my water was always at least half full. The ambiance was warn and reflective of Japanese culture. Parking is plentiful as the restaurant is pretty much on its own lot."
"Fun fact: I'm not the biggest fan of the Ichiban in Mt. Lookout. Their service is slow and their food is only adequate. If I feel that way, why did I choose to visit their Mason location? It was a matter of convenience, really. I was in the area and wanted sushi, and decided to give their other restaurant a shot. This Ichiban is located in a strip mall on the corner of Snider & Tylersville. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it looks and can accommodate large parties. The first time I went, I was seated promptly with a friend and we dove into the menu. My friend recently moved to Cincinnati from San Diego, so one thing she's getting used to is our "half-price" sushi. Yes, the fact that it's always half priced makes no sense. But we enjoy the sense of a bargain in Ohio!We sampled the menu - gyoza, edamame, and karaage were our appetizers. They came out one at a time and we enjoyed every last bite of it.We each ordered 2 rolls, and I also added some salmon sashimi since that's my absolute favorite. All the sushi was delicious and delivered promptly. The food was so good and inexpensive that I came back for lunch the very next week! They offer a lunch special of 3 rolls plus soup & salad for $9.99. What a steal! The sushi is fresh, the prices are great, and it's never too busy in Ichiban Mason. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!"
"Here I was thinking I would be the first one to review but I forgot to submit the draft so let's just take that part away. We came shortly after their grand opening and we had high hopes as we have enjoyed the Kura place in Columbus that has a similar vibe. This place is different of course but they are definitely trying to keep that certain vibe going! You can either pick up stuff off the conveyor belt or you can order on the tablets at the table and it will come out in these varying designs of trains. Really cool! One time we came between lunch and dinner and the sushi did not taste great. Probably because we were between the rush and some of the stuff had been out for a while. But we came during dinner another time and everything tasted great. I feel like the price is good for what you get. I used to go to a revolving sushi place back on the West Coast a lot 10 years ago and even though prices are higher, so is everything else. Definitely a good meal and a lot of fun! All the maid to order stuff is pretty good as well including the desserts. Service is always top-notch as everyone wants to refill your water and make sure you are well taken care of."
"Portion seem to be getting smaller, while price continues to spike. I don't mind the price increase if they continue to give you the same portion as before. I always get hibachi chicken. It's delicious. The service is always great. It's hot and fresh. I always get it to go. I rarely dine inside."
"My coworkers and me stopped in for lunch today. We had never eaten here before. The restaurant was clean and neat.COVID-19 protocols are in place, but masks arent required, it's the honor system, no mask means you are vaccinated. The staff was not wearing masks. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as we were guided through our choices.Japanese style bowls and sushi are the backbone of this restaurants menu.Everything is made to order, you pick your own protein, vegetables and toppings. I opted to create a custom bowl. I had roasted salmon and crab meat over brown rice, with scallions. I had the sweet and sour sauce to top it off. As far as I could tell, all of the choices are chilled, nothing is cooked or fried here. You can order takeout, pickup or dine in. Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here."
"Food is amazing and you will have enough for the next day. Chefs are great and fun! Please pay attention to the bill they have started adding gratuity in no matter the size of group. When i asked about it. They was like oh our mistake! Understandable, but it was their mistake the last couple times i went. I didn't catch the first time till i got home and realized i double tipped!"
"Okay place. The waiter said there was problem with water so they recommend not to get water or green tea. I figure that would be a warning sign. We were hungry and many things were closed in the area. Not sure why. So we stayed. Got yaki soba and katu don. Both cane out alright. They also gave us one miso soup, I was sure which dish. Unlikely I would return again. Service was the best part. Food was okay, at least it did not make me sick."
"Love this place!! Excellent food and service! The sushi is incredibly fresh. Even our toddlers love this place."
"This is a really excellent place. They offer a $24 all you can eat sushi menu. The selection is great, the service is good and the sushi quality is excellent. The environment is also nice with a slightly cluttered Japanese decor. I would have given this place five stars if it were not for the vulgar and profane hip-hop music they were playing at 2 p.m. on a Wednesday."
"Since moving here from California we've been looking for good or even great sushi. We came here to check out their sushi bar. I noticed right away that it was quite warm inside, even a little uncomfortable. If you're headed here, I'd suggest you dress accordingly. As for the sushi, it was good! Jason, the sushi chef, is very personable and makes the best sushi we've had since we've been in Cincinnati. The beer was cold & the margarita was prepared quickly, which stands out to me, as many times there's a considerable wait when I order mixed drinks at restaurants. Our server kept up on our drinks, sides, and had a sweet demeanor. I'd recommend Sakura for sure!"
