"Delicious, AUTHENTIC (mas o menos) choice for some delicious Mexican comfort food! Fast, friendly service, cozy location right in the heart of downtown Newport. Very reasonable prices, and definitely something for just about everyone!! Hope to be back next time I'm in the area!!Buen provecho!!"
"Generous portions. Basic atmosphere, but interesting. The owners and workers were super nice. It took a while to get the food and they were out of baklava but well worth the wait. The hummus has a great flavor and paired with especially the chicken shawarma it was awesome the pita bread is thick and well made."
"Stopped for a late lunch after touring Buffalo Trace distillery. Ordered two pizzas for the four of us. Both were excellent, especially the crust. Service was quick and very friendly. Good option near the distillery."
"You can't beat a well made sammich. You simply can't. Sammiches have existed for as long as bread and cheese has been around and I fully respect a place that takes that craft and just does it well.I had the smoked chicken salad on a croissant and some fresh fries. The portion sizes made me feel like I was getting away with how affordable it all was. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. And they have fresh cookies too!Best lunch spot in the area."
"After years of hearing about Las Pena's I finally went last month and have already returned a second time!We love all the tacos, my husband has even tried the less traditional (in the US) meats - head, tripe, tongue. I would recommend chicken, steak and al carbon. Be careful with the sauces they come with, both are great but the heat stays with you in a good way. The food is so authentic, this is a must visit. We did venture out from the tacos and were not impressed by the tamales, but that's ok we just won't get them again. Their guac and chips are delicious if you go with a group too!"
"Great selection of wines and food. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always find some hidden gems here."

What a gem of a restaurant in Newport! We were the first couple of a group of six. It didn't look promising when we walked in, but this restaurant is much bigger on the inside than expected. We walked all the way to the back and there were a couple big tables for groups. Perfect!Unlike what I'd consider a 'typical' Mexican restaurant, the menu was not massive. They offer a large variety of different Mexican dishes, but it's only two pages long!I ordered the Flag Burrito and thought I was finished. He asked what kind of meat I wanted; it was time to consult the menu again. The options for meat (or veg) were massive, which means you can customize most any item on the menu. Perfect!Everyone enjoyed their meals, but I can only speak to my Flag Burrito made with chicken. It was fantastic! I don't know why, but I was surprised the chicken was shredded. But the beauty of it was that everything inside the burrito, which was indeed massive, was mixed in such a way that the flavors all mixed together perfectly. Yes, I realize I'm over using the word 'perfect'. As I write I realize I have no complaints whatsoever and I've increased my rating from 4 stars to 5. They are well deserved. Our waiter was helpful, but busy. That said, he checked on us often enough for several folks to order seconds on their drinks. I have pictures, but I'm going to do what I really don't like about pictures posted on yelp. I have pictures of meals and I don't now what they are. My apologies.Anyway, if you are in the area... and even if you're not, if you are a fan of Mexican cuisine, definitely stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Consistent fresh food prepared to order, whether ordering online or in person. We are partial to the chicken shawarma, shish kabobs, baba ganoush, and eggplant. While their pita is complimentary and delicious, we have also discovered the zatar pita available in the grocery section. Very friendly place, great prices on spices in the grocery, and many specialty halal items.

The atmosphere was perfect, the picnic tables were great to play cards on. The pizza was very good and the beer was ice cold!

Today I officially found my favorite pastrami sandwich in the city. I randomly stumbled upon this small deli and so glad I did. Very reasonable prices and the staff is amazing.

So glad we found this little treasure! I especially love that they have dishes from several different countries. For instance pupusas from El Salvador. I couldn't decide on one thing so I tried several small items and everything was delicious. We visited in the afternoon and there was only one other couple there. Its very informal-like. A woman took our order and brought food out to us and we paid at the cash register when we were done (I didn't get a bill but the woman serving us was the same one at the cash register) If we wanted drinks there were coolers of bottled beverages or serve your own hortata (I assume) and something else (tea?) I also loved the Mexican grocery. Making note that I don't need to go all the way in to East Dayton anymore for a Mexican grocery! I bought some candy for the kids but will come back for premade frozen food.

Big selection of wine for how small the store is and everything I've tried from the deli is great. I also appreciated that they were out of local honey and they took my number down and called me when they got more in.

Not in the market hall at Findlay but part of the same stretch, this is a Mediterranean grocer that stuffs a fair amount of food into a small space. It's the sort of place where most things seem to be niche local brands or fancy imports, meaning there's very little redundancy with your big box grocer. They are limited on baked goods, but will happily recommend you to a suburban Greek bakery (which I took down and may review some other time). Here, I got some nice dips and pitas, and found plenty worth considering.

Be sure to check expiration/sell by dates if you shop here. I stopped in this evening for a snack. I noticed a weird taste and checked the sell by date. This item is expired by EIGHT months. So gross.

"This place is happening on a Saturday morning! At first I was a little overwhelmed by how crowded and tight it is in here but then I just soaked in how excited folks were to make their purchases. They were busy selling everything from tahini and baklava to imported olive oil and cheeses. I ended up going home with some fresh baba ganoush and pita. I fought the urge to pick up some date syrup and a few other items I had my eye on. Despite the space being small, they pack in a lot of inventory and keep it organized. Overall, a fabulous visit paired with your Findlay Market vendors across the walkway."
"I've only been in this store a coupe of times when they first opened, so I can't really speak on what they are like years later. I don't live in the area, so it isn't a regular place for me. When I did go in there years ago, I thought the prices were too high, for my liking. But the prices are likely average, maybe a little higher, for this particular area of Cincinnati, Ohio. It would be nice if their prices were lower for the community that isn't financially well-to-do."
"They handled a busy weekend really well! Food was great! Worth the wait! We will go back on our next visit!"
"May forever go to Cheers! I love the clerk ! I walk in and my order is waiting regardless of the wait. Ma'am! Thank you for making me feel welcomed! Definitely a Cheers Vibe, Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your order"
"They've since taken over the Chinese restaurant that was next store and turned it into a taqueria. The tacos have gotten better and the options are more abundant. Overall, a good improvement."
"I was definitely surprised to see the beer selection! My husband is a fan of Great Lakes and I was very happy to find out that they carried this beer. Super friendly guy runs the place, always greets you with a smile. Very convenient when you need something last minute."
"Cheese is my favorite food - so when I saw this little shop, located texted door to the brewery in Lockland, I had to check it out. The young man who was in the shop was very knowledgable about the cheeses and enthusiastic when describing the flavors of what they had available. They make most of the cheeses in the shop and he let us peak through the window where it's made to get a look at the equipment. I chose the Brie, Goat and Mozzarella cheeses. All of them are fantastic! They don't have regular hours, we just happened to see them open. But we were told to call to check when they are in the shop. They are also at Montgomery Farmer's Market on Saturdays."
"The Cinnamon Rolls are awesome, great selection and stellar service. Great folks serving and taking care of their customers. Thank you for all you do!!"
