"I came to Taste of Jerusalem for their lunch, and upon entering the building, all of the seats were taken! After trying the food, I see why, lolI ordered the Mixed Grill Kabbab which come with one skewer of chicken kabbab, one skewer of kufftah kabbab, one skewer of beef fillet, hummus, rice, pickle, and red cabbage, and a side of falafels. I thought since this was my first time here, the mixed grilled kebabs would give me a sample of the main ingredients on their menu. Everything tasted so good! The meat was seasoned and cooked well, the rice was delicious, and the hummus and pita bread tasted so well together. I started dipping my kabbabs into the hummus and couldn't stop until all of the kabbabs were gone. The three gentlemen in the kitchen were very nice and helpful with giving recommendations on their menu. I really enjoyed my lunch here and can't wait to try Taste of Jerusalem again! Highly recommend them!"
"This is a hidden gem right in my neighborhood and I had no idea! We had the cold appetizer sampler, comes with six dips and a giant loaf of balloon bread. I loved all of the dips. For my entree, I had the shrimp sauté, it was out of this world. I would have licked the bowl if I thought I could. The owner stopped by our table several times and was super friendly. The only thing that docked them a star, the server was a little rough delivering the food and drink. She would just kind of slam it down on the table, not a huge deal but a little more polish would be good. I am already planning my next trip back."

"I seen Turkish food and really just wanted a Turkish coffee, this is more of a Mediterranean grill. Let me say this though, this was one of the best Gyros I have ever had. I mean this was huge and tasty. My friend that I was with got chicken shawarma and it was also huge and he said it was super yummy. We also each got baklava, it was good but not amazing. I will say this if in the area again I would be very happy to come here and get a gyro, I would also be more than happy to recommend this location for some good Mediterranean food. Stop it."
"100% a weekly meal for me!!! I've been better taking care of my health so a weekly Greek salad with gyro meat and a side of tzatziki sauce has become a go to favorite! Don't get me wrong, there are so many great dishes here! Absolutely recommend one of there all beef hotdogs in almost any form. Really like the one wrapped in bacon with beer cheese...so mouth watering! Regardless, I door dash from here every week to be a bit more on the healthy side and will argue that the house made greek dressing is a must try on any salad you do. They always give plenty of portions, the staff is always accommodating, and it's a classic Chicago meets Cincinnati themed restaurant. Plenty of places to seat or good enough to order out!"
"We stopped here for dinner on a long, long, long drive north to the Detroit area. I really wanted to get a small taste of local flavor instead of just eating fast food, and Olive was more or less on our way, so we hopped off the interstate to grab a bite. Now, from some of the pictures of the outside on Yelp, it looks like this is a standalone business with a private parking lot. That might have been the case at one time, but either the business moved or it has a second location that's freestanding and the pics are in the wrong spot, as that's not the case now. This Olive is very much in the downtown-ish area, carved into the ground floor of a much larger building. As such, parking may be a bit more challenging since there doesn't appear to be a private lot. That said, we had no trouble finding a spot on the street within a block or two. Parking was paid for with the Passport app, and it was reasonable. Of course, it might be harder during nicer weather -- not a lot of people out on a rainy evening! We walked in to find the restaurant fairly spacious but almost deserted -- only two other people waiting for to-go orders. Kind of odd for a Friday night, but again...weather. The decorations are kind of sparse but the place, including the bathroom, was clean. We ordered our meal at the counter and sat down to wait. Husband got a gyro and fries, and I got the Shish tawook platter, which came with grilled chicken, a salad, rice, and pita. We also got an order of the Greek potatoes to try out as an appetizer. Service was a little gruff at checkout but gave us a genuine, kind-hearted thank you as we left, so I guess they just had to warm up to us, lol. The potatoes came out first and were my favorite part of the meal! They were clearly cooked fresh. I'm honestly not sure what's Greek about them as they kinda reminded me of hash browns (the cubed, hash kind) with a little squeeze of lemon and maybe some herbs on top...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! They were piping hot and very crispy. Husband and I enjoyed our meals, too. His gyro was very large and almost over-stuffed with gyro meat. The fries were medium-cut but tasted like McDonald's fries somehow...not complaining. My Shish tawook was very juicy and flavorful. I've had better rice and pita but these were both quite serviceable and I enjoyed a fairly healthy-feeling meal.Honestly, my true rating is maybe more in-line with a 3.5...but I don't have any super severe criticisms and we had a quite pleasant time overall, so I'll just round up to a 4.Seems like they do a lot of carryout / delivery business. I'd recommend this spot for a decently healthy, very fresh Mediterranean bite if you're in the area."
"I've driven past this little spot several times, and finally looked them up on Yelp to see if they were any good. Most reviews were positive, so I made the choice to check it out, and I'm glad I did!I was hoping to order some Falafel to keep it vegan/vegetarian for Earth Day, but upon further examination of their menu, they don't serve Falafel! So I went with their Aegean Chicken Gyro, which was packed full of traditional Greek ingredients like feta, tomato, and cucumber. The chicken was seasoned nicely, and had a great texture. The pita was probably my favorite part. It was soft without being too thick, and had a nice crust on the outside. Plus, when I went to pick up my food, I noticed them cooking these fresh on the grill. I added an extra side of tzatziki because I like a lot of sauce, but I don't think my Gyro really needed it.I also ordered the Greek Fries and the small Greek salad. The fries were cold by the time I got home, but I tossed them up in my air fryer for a few minutes and they were as good as new. They had a light, lemon pepper seasoning on them, which I honestly would have liked a little more of, to really make the flavor pop. The salad was OK - nothing about it really stuck out to me, although the dressing was nice and creamy.I did call ahead to place my order, which was a smart decision since they were busy around lunchtime. If you're a fan of Gyros, I'd definitely give this place a try if you're ever in the area."
"I haven't had this west side staple in a long while. I was craving a good old gyro loaded with a bunch of tzatziki sauce. Sebastian's serves up the freshest made to order gyro around. Still owned and operated by the original owner quality is still there.I sided it with their delicious fries. Great little lunch spot.Inside is no frills as there are only 5-6 small tables. I always get it to go.Sebastian's is a must try for those who haven't been here. You won't be disappointed."
"Excellent food excellent price and excellent service and staff is very friendly If you like Grecian food I guarantee you you will not be sorry"
"We decided to visit the restaurant based on a recipe I read. My husband loves biscuits and gravy. George's Family Restaurant did not disappoint! He said it was the best biscuits and gravy he has ever eaten! The biscuit was fresh and the gravy had perfect consistency and taste. Looking forward to our next visit."
"Again, this place continues to be excellent and we love it! Our service was great and attentive and the food is always amazing. Lamb shanks, labneh, grape leaves. It was all so good! If you want a group table or 6 or more people, it's good to call ahead.Prices have really gone up. That's normal these days and I understand. But probably not good for everybody considering wages don't always go up with them. Hopefully Andy's can continue to do well in this environment of increased costs. We get it! Food is still just so wonderful and we continue to return but probably only a couple times a year. But we know when we come we're going to spend a lot of money.Staff here is always been very friendly and treated us like family. We've had a couple of birthdays here and we tell them ahead of time and they always make sure we have a good space. Looking forward to coming back!"

Had the best date night at Café Mediterranean! We made a reservation on Open Table for Friday night at 7 PM, although I do not think one was necessary as the space was always busy but never every table full. When we arrived we explained we had never been in before and received many great recommendations from our waitress. We both started with drinks - I had the Cosmo and my partner an IPA. The drinks came out fast which was great. Later in our meal I ordered a glass of their Lebanese red wine (they were out of Turkish wine) which I was a little nervous for as I had never had Lebanese wine but this was a great little surprise and was full of flavor that evolved as you drank it. For food we started with the Cold Sampler Platter which had Hummus, Eggplant Marinara, Babaganoush, Tabouli, Labne and Stuffed Grape Leaves (the first 6 items on the Small Plates part of the menu). The Eggplant Marinara, Hummus and Tabouli were our favorite - they were bursting with flavor and we could not get enough! This came with some house-made bread which was also tasty. For our main courses we had the Chicken Shish Kebab and the Moussaka - and WOW both were so good! The chicken was SO flavorful and perfectly juicy and you could really taste all the different flavors in the Moussaka. Each entrée came with roasted vegetables (zucchini/carrots and tomato/bell pepper) and a side of rice. The rice deserves it own call out as it was perfectly cooked and also FULL of flavor! We were very pleasantly surprised by the rice and appreciated it had its own rightful spot on the plate and was not just a space filler. Overall the portions were HUGE and we did not finish either meal and took leftovers home. We ordered the pistachio baklava for dessert which came with vanilla ice cream and strawberries on the side. The piece was also surprisingly HUGE and cut like a pie slice. It was bursting with pistachios and perfectly flaky on top. The ice cream was also so tasty with a ton of vanilla flavor - it was so good we questioned if it was also house made?? With dessert we also received little glasses of tea - a cute little surprise and perfect ending to the meal! We will DEFINITELY be back here for more!!

This is one of our favorite gyro places. Small, family run with great baklava and gyros. It is counter service, they have drinks in a cooler and a small seating area. Years ago when we returned from Greece someone recommended this as authentic, all of the adults who traveled together agreed it was close to the street food we had in Greece. This is very casual but very good.We have been eating lunch here for years, I am glad that they made it through the last two years of struggle for restaurants. They also offer takeout but as is always true, it tastes better freshly made versus 20 minutes later when you get home,

I used to go here 3 or 4 times a week for lunch. However they stopped with their slaw dog and that's what I ordered when I was there. So I haven't been back. They used to have a friendly staff and always had great service.

Olive Mediterranean Grill is a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Dayton. I usually go there for dinner and takeout. It has a very quiet vibe - definitely not busy, but I am guessing they have a lot of lunch customers. I got the schwarma platter. This came with very large portions at $13. Basically it was two meals.Rice: fragrant with hint of spices (cloves), long grain, perfectly steamed texture and not soggySchwarma chicken: the grill flavor tastes really great. It is not dry at all and has a lot of spices and salt. This was very satisfyingSide salad: very fresh leaves, kalamata olive, though vinegar dressing is very sharp. Crispy falafel which was good. Normal otherwise. Comes with tzitzaki sauce and pita if you like that. Pita could have been softer but still good.I definitely would come back when I am in the mood for mediterranean.

I love a good gyro and they did not disappoint. The food is weighed so it should be consistent with each visit. I could've used a little more tomato onion and sauce. They have some different options available here that aren't at most gyro places. Variety is nice. The service was fast and friendly. The dining room will hold a good amount of people, it didn't seem like they would have a problem with seating no matter how many in your group. They after a lot of takeout too.

Another diamond in the rough! All I've ever heard since moving here was how wonderful this place was. Bring cash! The gyro was different than what I had had before but it was delicious none the less. One of the reviews I read was "watery cucumber juice" as a way to describe the sauce and after trying it, we realized that was an accurate description.! The gyro comes with tomato and onion and a side of the sauce. Tasty enough we had two!Unfortunately my allergy will not allow me to come back but I would if I could!

This restaurant has been in business for a long time. This is their second location that I'm aware of in my adult years. They were downtown and my wife would order their Greek salad. It's family owned and the food is good. I usually order the lentil soup on a regular basis. I feel the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and service is good. I feel this is the only place I can get homemade soup and not something out of a bag. The fish sandwich is good too

"Just posted a review about a regional chain that seems to be perfecting the "slow casual" concept. Meanwhile, Birmingham-based Taziki's has the much more common "fast casual" concept well figured out. (This native Southerner knows that Birmingham's got a bigger Middle Eastern community than you'd probably imagine.)There's no getting around it: Cincinnati has a serious shortage of relatively nutritious, reasonably priced, decent dining options. On those scores, Taziki's rings it up pretty good. The wife and I love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, and Taziki does a nice job with a generic Americanized version of it. Fresh salads, nice thick lemony hummus, pretty okay grilled meats, solid pita sandwiches. Not only tasty, but mostly pretty healthy eating as well. If you're familiar with these cuisines, it's not nearly the best you've had (and the limited sides are quite disappointing) but it's not at all bad, either.Service when we do go (usually lunch on weekends) has always been very fast. The staff is efficient and pleasant. Atmosphere and music are kinda bland, but it's agreeable enough, and the dining area seems spic-and-span. And the prices are reasonable (and when you find the Clipp Magazine coupons, like a pre-inflationary-era steal)."
"One of my family's go-to spots. Everything I've gotten has been yummy, and the Zorba's salad and pork souvlaki are my favorites (and the warm pita). Great portions and very affordable. Tip: call ahead by 10-15 minutes and then pick your food up at the drive thru!"
"What an experience! I will say I was nervous about their cancelation policy that includes a $20 charge per person if reservations are canceled less than 24 hours before the reservation. We had reservations for six, with one canceling due to illness the day of. I called ahead to change the reservation, but was still worried there could be a charge. There wasn't.My reason for including all that information is this... after having dinner on a Saturday (we were there at 4:30 when they opened), it was clear they do a massive business and need every seat available. We had a plan to check in during the week with a reminder and confirmation everyone was still on for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortably upscale. Our server Brynn, was outstanding. She was very cordial and friendly, as well as being well versed with the menu. She also split our bill five ways, spreading the food across all five bills and divvying up the drinks appropriately. The food... where do I start? I'll start by saying there are things on the menu we did not order that I still want to try. Guess we'll have to go back. Darn! What we did order was well.. a lot! Everything was fantastic.I'd say we started with the Trio of Spreads, but that's only because it came out first. My favorite was the Taramasalata (cured cod roe), which had just a slight fish flavor (it's not off-putting in any way). When we go again I will just order this. The Tzatziki was lovely and the Tirokafteri (spicy feta) was indeed spicy. It was tasty, but I focused on it the least. The grilled pitas that come with the spreads are a bit like Olive Garden's endless breadsticks. This is a huge plus and was greatly appreciated.Next was the Ntakos. Brynn told us to let it sit and allow the rusk to absorb the liquid and flavors. It was beautiful and delicious. That said, I won't order this next time.Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower - Roasted cauliflower seasoned with spices and turmeric w/ creamy tahini sauce. It was not spicy and the sauce was delightfully light and wonderful. I recommend it!The Manitaria Confit, aka mushrooms, were out of this world. So freakin' tasty! Yep, you should get these. We will get them again. The Pantzaria (roasted beets served with garlic dip) was outstanding! I'd order it again and you should too.The Bouyiourdi (spicy baked feta with peppers, tomatoes and onions) was spicy. It was good, but not my favorite. If you like things on the spicy side, go for it! Best bite - Char Grilled Xtapodi - grilled octopus. I get grilled octopus whenever I can. Fillo's grilled octopus is about the best I've had. So tender, and the EVOO, vinegar, oregano and capers are the perfect accompaniment. If I was only getting one thing, this would be it.The Kotopoulo Souvlaki was amazing. The chicken was tender and flavorful. With tomatoes, onions, fries, pita and dipping sauce, this is easily a full meal. The Moussaka was perfect. It looked beautiful and it was full of flavor. They had two desserts - Baklava and Ravani. The baklava was amazing! Just half of one of the three small pieces would have been enough. Wonderfully sweet and bursting with baklava syrup. The Ravani, topped with quince, was good but probably the least favorite of all the bites that evening.I also had a Baklava Negroni. That said, I asked if they could make it a Negroski, which is a Negroni made with vodka rather than gin. They accommodated my request with aplomb and it was delicious. Oh... the thing that makes it special is baklava syrup. It's not that I could taste it specifically, but Negronis can be a bit bitter. The Baklava "Negroski" was beautifully smooth. It wasn't bitter. It also wasn't sweet. It was perfection.I can't wait to go back."
"Nice change of pace here as I am not a fan of bars or alcohol. Expecting bar food, I was surprised with the offering here. My sister had a steak with diced potatoes that she thoroughly enjoyed. On recommendation, I had the Philly Cheesesteak that was served in a pita with waffle fries on the side. It all tasted great and the service was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning to try other entrees as they have a lot to offer."
"Don't make the mistake of thinking you can eat the giro in your car: overloaded and delicious!Great lunch place!"
"Lunch with my colleague, we got gyros and a salad. The gyros were delicious. Plenty of meat, some fresh sweet onion and sliced tomato on a warm pita (no pita for me, thanks). Salad was large and loaded with dressing, olives, cheese, cucumber and tomato. Delicious.Service was great too. A delightful and inexpensive quick lunch.[Review 11306 overall, 1083 of 2019.]"
"Oh my goodness ! When I came to this place while visiting Shelbyville I loved it. It's cute and cozy inside and feels like home despite me visiting from way out of state. The service was so nice and quick and made me feel so welcomed. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. When I come back to Shelbyville I'll be sure to come again!"
"Had a lamb pita - best I've had since moving from Chicago area. The lamb was nicely seasoned and the fries were tasty."
"Great food! Fun options and a unique Mediterranean menu. The basmati rice is our favorite side."
"When I walked into the place, the cook and the woman at the counter (the manager) were having what sounded like a family argument (in Greek?), which just enhances the charm of the place. The cook was friendly and greeted me, in between words with the manager. After a bit, the waitress arrived and asked me what I wanted to drink. It's a small place with a few indoor and a few outdoor tables, plus 3 stools at the counter. Obviously, they can't handle large crowds in colder weather. They have a drive-thru.One difference I noticed when I entered was the lack of the smell of grease, compared to their location on Brookwood and Washington on the west side of Hamilton. Everything seemed clean at both stores, although it took them a bit of time to clean tables after people left.On the back of the menu, they have some combos, including the #1 combo with the gyros, fries, and drink I ordered for $8.99. Does that seem a scary price? The last place where I got such a combo was $5.99 and yes, the gyros was smaller with the price. Feta cheese is an additional $1.00. Adding a tip takes a bite out of that $15.00 you kept for a fancy meal. The food was good, and I was treated well. I can't say enough how that feels. I've been too many places where no one cares, so thanks to them, I felt better, even though they were otherwise occupied with restaurant business. I was kind of surprised to see the waitress carrying several heads of lettuce which were apparently delivered through the drive-thru window. In any case, it was a good experience, even if the price was a bit scary. It seems a little dangerous trying to get into the parking lot. It may be easier to go to where Dixie Highway goes north and use the back way to get into the parking lot, rather than risk a rear end collision."
"We stopped by The Loaded Gyro to grab a quick dinner on our way to a nearby event. Although not a fancy place, the dining room was very clean and service was excellent. Our gyros were delicious and hot, with soft pita bread and tender, moist meat. Employees were helpful and eager to please us The owner spoke to us about his restaurant and the food he prepares for the community. He clearly is hard working and takes pride in his food."
"The owner is a fantastic human being. He was so gracious and walked through the whole menu with us and made suggestions....even throwing in freebies since you can tell that he's really proud of his food, and rightly so. It seems that Cincinnati tends to be at the higher price point for Mediterranean food, generally speaking. This is exactly where this place finds its niche: fighting that elevated price tag. Finally there is a place that is slinging good food without elevating the cost. The platters come with a side of nicely warmed pita that isn't the type of cardboard that comes out of the package that other places sell as an afterthought. The interior looks like it definitely caters to the take out aspect; however, there are a few tables inside and they will bring your food out to you after you place your order at the counter. Overall, no complaints, and happy to have a place like this around the area."
"We are so excited to have found a great restaurant close to our home! The food is absolutely delicious!! The service ( ask for Kay) was fabulous!! Everything came out quickly and perfectly!!I love the decor, we felt like we were in an old gangster movie If you want great authentic food, this is a must stop!!We will be regulars"
"Found my go to for gyros! The tzatziki sauce was so good and the gyro meat was cooked just right. A little crisp on the ends but not burned. I also had the pleasure of tasting the half gyro half burger and it was really tasty too. And the service was really good too. Can't beat that!"
"Consistently good food and service for 20+ years. The history of old Newport and one of the surviving businesses that outlasted the "Sin City" era. Great nostalgia, and we like it better than the two more popular chili chains. I often get the DIXIE DELIGHT a mixed salad plate with a mix of choices of egg, ham, chicken, or tuna salad with fresh fruit. The chili and dogs are great (Tiki usually gets an Allie-gator dog with pickles). Not unusual for us to also get a gyro platter or soup bowl. We both enjoy their own brand of hot sauce, and when available, buy some for home. History says this will likely outlast everything on Monmouth."
"I tried Greek Burrito for the first time tonight and loved it! (For shame I didn't get any photos.) The man who waited on me was very helpful. I got the falafel sandwich with hummus, feta cheese and at his suggestion, relish, (like a pickle relish) and just loved it. The fries were good too and everything was hot and fresh. Great service and great food, can't go wrong! Located in the mall food court."
