First let me share that everything is homemade at this establishment and that makes it extra special for me. Knowing that they take that extra step means a lot. As a teacher it's his second job to help support his family, I appreciated how he made us feel welcomed and how he provided us with insight about the restaurant and their food. "This restaurant was just off the expressway and was recommended to our group as we were driving back from a weekend away. There are menus available as you come in, and you put your order in at the register as you enter. We came during brunch, and they had a wide variety of breakfast and lunch food available. And everyone was able to get something they enjoyed. I got the Vegetable Breakfast Wrap and a 1/2 order of Biscuit and Gravy. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and could be split with a friend. The vegetable breakfast buritto was also good. I really liked the sauce in the buritto and found it not to be too overwhelming. There were some side options that did come with the buritto. There was a lot of parking available which made getting in easy. You also get to enjoy some farm lands with horses as you make your way to the restaurant, which makes for a great drive."

"It's crazy to see that my last review was over ten years ago! While the price of the cheeseburger special has gone up (only by $2.50) and they've moved their location (just slightly) the food and experience is still the same no frills deliciousness.They have indoor and outdoor dining now and they let you order lettuce and tomato on your burger, but you still get your food on paper plate and the burger special still comes with fries and a drink of choice (including a beer if you want). The burger with onions and pickles is the way to go and it's delicious every time. I have never tried anything else here and I don't know if I ever will. It's exactly what I want and while I know people love the other items on the menu it's hard not to order the cheeseburger when I know it's perfection.If you've never been, they do have a parking lot along with street parking. The servers are friendly and helpful too. You'll see a lot of regulars here as well as families.This one of those old school, welcoming spots that feels like dining at a family member's place for a get together- especially now that they have the outdoor seating. It is no frills, but what they do they do well and at a great price.We stop by at least once every time we're in town."

Good service, great menu, and the best spot in the region to go if you're "homesick" for good, old fashioned NY deli food!!In a misguided effort to avoid SHOCKING my Ohioooooo friends, I stuck to the more "traditional," slightly less "ethnic" options, just ordered half a corned beef sandwich, which came with the world's tiniest Israeli salad, both of which were very good. NEXT time, I'm going all OUT and sampling their chopped liver (REALLY, if it's made right, it can be GOOD!!) herring (yum!!) knishes (Mmmmmmmm, gotta' give 'em a try...) tongue (yep!!) and/or a big bowl of matzo ball soup. Missing some of the even more "classic" deli items, but this was a great sampling, down to the tempting dessert options, including babka, cheesecake, rugelach, and even black and white cookies!!No, it's NOT a Kosher deli, but here you'll find a sampling of ALL (most, anyway...) of the BEST that a good NY deli will offer. It's tiny inside with a few tables that will likely be occupied by Miami University students. None of the tables were being wiped down and all of the napkins were depleted. They had ample supply statue register.Order at the counter after reviewing the menu board.on the wall. It's a smallish menu that works well for them. They also open for breakfast which is newer post COVID. I got a hot pastrami on white and my daughter grilled cheese on white. Sandwiches come with a bag of chips. They offer fountain Coke product drinks and bottled. The joint has a NY Deli vibe which I like. With only three total staff, likely all students it was a bit slow on pulling the orders together. However I was not in a hurry either. The orders popped up 15 min or so and I paid at that time. Tip is off the machine. My daughter really liked her sandwich with fresh bread and gooey American cheese. The plating was no frills. Mine was very good as well with only complaint a section of fatty meat that should not have been used. In my opinion the sandwich should be served cut in half. The chips were good too!I can see myself being back on future visits. 3.5 rounding up."

The chili and dogs are great (Tiki usually gets an Allie-gator dog with pickles). Not unusual for us to also get a gyro platter or soup bowl. We both enjoy their own brand of hot sauce, and when available, buy some for home. History says this will likely outlast everything on Monmouth."

Their burritos are also good, and if you're feeling adventurous (and don't mind bad breath) you can get the menudo which I'm told is delicious.The price-point is good, and it's authentic, but inside the restaurant is not exactly the cleanest or prettiest. I come here for a quick lunch, but I would steer clear if you're looking for a nicer experience.Overall, very authentic, tasty Mexican food in a small local business. Although I am closer to the Hyde Park location, I prefer to go to this one because they offer a larger variety of hot sandwiches. In addition to this, the service is fantastic - I was greeted when I came in the door and all the employees were very friendly when they made my sandwich. For me what sets Jersey Mike's ahead of Subway or Jimmy Johns is that everything is so fresh - they cut the meat and cheese right in front of you for every sub!
