"Went here for a lunch special. Was quickly sat down and noticed many movies references . I ordered the most popular "how fun noodles" and a hot and sour soup.Soup came out first. Definitely not your tradition hot n sour soup. They added a bit of chili oil and made it a bit sweeter and it wasn't nearly as sour as I'd expect from other Chinese restaurants. The beef chow fun noodles were very oily and also drenched in chili oil. 3/10 spice is a good mild-medium level of spice. The beef came out as little strips and were a little chewy. The noodle textures were inconsistent, parts were hard and dry others were soft and stacked up in chunks. If you're looking for traditional Chinese dishes this is not the place for you. But if your looking for a fusion of American and Asian cooking then this place might be your groove. You also should be a huge fan of chili oil which I am not. Overall, I'm sure there are better Asian restaurants in Cincinnati, but kung food does deliver in taste it's just not taste that suits my palate."
"Wow I'm so happy I found Fortune Noodle House in Clifton I was looking for a Chinese restaurant for a work lunch called and spoke to Rachel the owner, so friendly and happy to help our group.I stopped by yesterday afternoon to check out the restaurant, which is very clean & welcoming inside. Rachel greeted me and was happy to explain how she loves making healthy, fresh food every day in the Clifton neighborhood.I enjoyed the hand made noodles with veggies & chicken, everything made fresh to order. They have spice level 1-3, so I went in the middle with level 2, my food came out of the kitchen a few minutes later. Delicious & what a generous portion, I ended up talking more than half home. I also enjoyed a delicious Passionfruit iced tea, which went well with the meal.Today I enjoyed my leftovers and even better. I also found out the noodles are made fresh daily such a cool place right across from UC & Hughes High School some of the best food I've enjoyed in Cincinnati!"

"While the service was good the food was fair at best. The portion was skimpy and contained more onions and scallions than anything else, cheap filler in my opinion. The shrimp were dime size and kind of off tasting, the dish was suppose to contain carrot but I really did not see any. The rest of the dish was noodles. Doubt I will return for noodles, onions, and a couple small shrimp for $16 including tip."
"Ordered take out using their website. A little cumbersome when checking out, but otherwise is easy to enter food selections. I ordered the sushi deluxe and a small miso soup. The menu did not appear to indicate that the entree already came with a small miso soup and a salad with traditional ginger dressing. The freshness and size of the sushi entree was phenomenal! In fact, to my disappointment, I couldn't finish it all!The food was ready when I expected it to be and the staff was quite pleasant and helpful. I had input a special request for low sodium soy sauce. Not only did I receive regular soy sauce, but only one measly packet. Certainly insufficient for the amount of sushi - 9 pieces of Nigirizushi and one tuna roll. The selection of fish was excellent. All in all, I would order from here again!"
"I got Dan Dan noodles to go, the hand pulled noodles.I doubt I'm imagining it, but eating this seems to have cured some digestive issues I've had. Weird and very welcome. It was delicious. I got my order to go and it was mere minutes and I was on my way home smelling this delicious aroma."
"Oriental Wok is always one of my favorites. I love their crab Rangoons and Hong Kong Chicken, which is basically a tempura fried chicken breast with gravy and vegetables. Their fried rice is some of the best around.Aside from the outstanding food, the service is always excellent and the decor is top notch. The vibes inside the restaurant are elegant and old school. My kids love to look at the koi ponds."
"This is my go-to Chinese Food spot. I love it here. Food, service and full bar: all high-quality, fresh, and lovely."
"We were in town (Dayton) for a conference and had a hankering for sushi. This place seemed very popular, as I heard a regular chatting with the owner. If my hearing was correct, I overheard them say they were opening another restaurant. That would be nice, as there wasn't much parking and the restaurant was small.I got the Crab Rangoon (8 pieces) and it was skillfully prepared. They were very generous with the dipping sauce too. I also got Egg Drop Soup, and it was the largest serving of soup I have ever had! For $2.50!My husband got two different sushis. Unfortunately, the Sweet 16 Roll was unlike any type of sushi one could expect, being extremely sweet. I'll tell you why: spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, and fried BANANA, wrapped in soybean nori, with MANGO sauce on top. It was sweetness overload, and the pieces were too large. In fact, it appeared that there were a lot of items on the menu with mango sauce. The second sushi was some type of spicy tuna, and the pieces were too small. The disparity between the tastes and sizes made for a weird experience. But guess what? We returned the next night with six friends, and they enjoyed their meals. It was nice that OSU852 had an extensive menu to suit everyone's taste."
"I was really, really excited that Yummy Bowl has gluten-free options. Not only are they gluten-free, they do NOT taste gluten-free. The serving size could easily be two portions but I ate the whole thing. I fully expected to have terrible repercussions and dove in because it was so delicious. The chicken was crisp, and chewy. Just the right texture. Exactly what you would expect from Chinese food chicken. And my stomach was fine! I plan on eating here very regularly. From what I understand, the general tso and orange chicken can be made gluten free. I am unsure of other options, as they are not listed on the menu which is very inconvenient. Thanks to other Yelp reviewers for alerting me to this delicious restaurant. One negative was that we had an order of regular orange chicken along with my gluten-free general tso's delivered. They looked nearly identical. Yummy Bowl did not mark them. We figured it out, but I was nervous."
"Best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to! The food was all delicious and so fresh. This truly tastes like authentic Chinese cuisine."
"Very good Asian cuisine. The crab Rangoons were awesome. Both our cuisines were very good as well. They did a great job dialing i n the heat. I had a 6 on a 1-10 scale and it was right where I expected it to be. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was pretty clean and all the dishes can out well presented. The atmosphere is well appointed. Definitely a solid upscale Chinese food experience."
"The food here is a grade or two above the typical Chinese fare. The service has always been good and friendly and the restaurant is clean."

Kung Food Chu's has had a real glow up over the last few years- it may have been longer but living in California I don't get to visit as often as I'd like. It's still a super popular spot, but now it has a lot more seating than I remember. They also have a waitlist that you can get on that helps when you visit at their more busy times. You really can't go wrong with any of their food. The Big Bertha Egg Roll and really any of their dumplings and potstickers are a must. So tasty. The Generals Chicken and Chow Fun are also some of my favorite items to order.I would suggest going or getting takeout with friends and ordering a bunch of items to enjoy family style. It's the best way to find your favorites and get a little bit of everything.

I would say it's a little hard to find parking. Plus it look a little rundown on the outside to be honest. However I gave 5 stars because the food was actually really good. It's my first time order since I have to be at Good Sam's for the day and I was just expecting it to be mediocre since it around college kid area. I order N3 Beef Stew Noodles and V1 garlic Bok Choy. They both were very tasty. Plus the host was very sweet, she remembered to put in some extra chili cause since I want them more spicy. Def recommended!!!

Linh's will always be my #1 favorite Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant in the Dayton area. I travel to Dayton for work once a month and I always have to stop by or place a to-go order.Their food and portion sizes are phenomenal. Their pho and rice dishes are authentic and perfectly cooked/seasoned. Their Chinese dishes are delicious, and I can appreciate their menu having multiple languages so everyone can understand what they have to offer.I like how they always have free hot tea and the service is great. They truly treat you like family. I highly recommend the salted spicy squid- it's deep fried calamari with a little bit of spice. Their hot pots have huge portions and I can't wait to take home the leftovers each time!

"I have always liked this place. They have great food and it is very convenient to get to. You don't need to watch Learn Chinese Fast videos on Youtube to make your order. The staff speaks English better than many customers, to be honest. I like the ambiance because it is nice and dark - very cozy. I usually get a Happy Family or some sushi, depending on my mood. I'm craving sushi now."
"I've been coming here for about a year. Everything I've had has been wonderful. Typically get door dash and great take out. Egg roll is decent but not my fav. Egg drop and hit and sour are amazing. Portions are good and quality is amazing."
"This place has been here for many years. I used to come here a long time ago. I've moved away and been gone for many years so imagine my surprise when we came back to visit and it was still there. I have been talking about Empress Chicken forever, but it was no longer on the menu. Guess what? They still make it if you ask. Day officially made. The service is incredible. Fast and the prices are good. The food is better than you expect. The chicken is actually breaded and crispy, although it's covered in sauce. Now that's tricky! It's every bit as good as it's always been, if not better!!"
"I have missed this place so much. Every time we come here we are not disappointed. We also leave so full we are about to pop. They do have some plates and hibachi, but we come for the sushi. They make a variety of fancy rolls if that is your thing. We usually get the All You Can Eat special. ($24.95 lunch/ $29.95 dinner) There is a specific menu for this and you have to sit at the bar. The options are nigiri or some simple rolls and hand rolls. The only rules are you must eat what you order and eat the rice. Oh and of course no sharing! Not that you will want to. You can order multiple times- so pace yourself. All the sushi is fresh made to order. My absolute fav thing here is the vegetable roll. I know weird for a sushi restaurant but I have never had anything like it. It is colorful and filled with a variety of veg that add pickle/ salty/slightly sweet/crunchy combo that is yum. The sashimi and nigiri are also very goodMy son got some gyoza today and it was very flavorful and the sauce was good too. Very large portion."
"Whether dining in or taking out I always grab lunch at Blue Gibbon when in Cincinnati! Their lunch specials are incredibly priced not to mention delicious. Their sweet and sour soup is the best I've ever had. Fast and very friendly service in a nice indoor setting. Give Blue Gibbon a try! Long time, family owned."
"Can't say enough about this place. If you go for Chinese well you'll get that, it's good but nothing that will have you racing back. However the specials they gave on Chinese dishes and Thai dishes are some of the most delicious foods I've tried. Family owned and never disappointed when I eat it. Please try a few dishes your first time, like I said they are some of the best I've had but they are different takes on some dishes."
"Forgot to take pictures. Food was as good as always. Service and attention to detail has improved tremendously. The employees were extremely welcoming and engaging. An old favorite has become new again. If you are a fan of how they used to be, give them another try."
"My family and I checked out this place tonight and we were so happy to find this gem. It's food was amazing and it is very vegetarian friendly. We decided to get the paneer appetizer, and the kids ate it so quickly that I only got a couple of bites! Dan, our waiter, and possibly the owner, was so kind to bring my youngest some naan as we waited for our meal. The naan is made in house and Omigosh it's so soft and delicious. We got two main dishes, and we were so pleased with our choices. My husband teased Dan that his dish was spicy (he's a wimp) and Dan offered to make another dish for him. The service is top notch and the food matches. We live on the west side but we will definitely be back and we recommend it to anyone who cares for amazing service and great food. Dan also sent us home with some pistachio ice cream. My kids loved it!"
"This is one of my favorite places period. I have been going since a child and I was introduced to Chinese food by this awesome family owned restaurant. I usually get my food to go but sometimes I sit in. They know my order which is awesomeI love, love, love the egg rolls. I get the peppered chicken when I go and sometimes get chicken friend rice. The food is delicious and I appreciate the care that goes into it. This is a regular spot for me. I have a love and appreciation for this family and their commitment to the community after all these years. I love the taste of the food and they always get my order right."
"Great place to grab lunch on the run. Good value, delicious food. Fast, friendly and delicious. We go at least once a week."
"Forget a picture of J's sample platter, has two of egg rolls, chicken pot sticker, steak pot sticker, crab Rangoon and two fried shrimp. Was very goodI had the Mongolian trio and the wife had the orange peel chicken. I had the jasmine ice tea and enjoyed the pleasant taste. Bathrooms were very clean and so was dinning area. Staff friendly and helpful. I agree the outside of the restaurant will fool you a bit but a very nice environment inside, a hidden gem. We would return."
"I ordered carry out from North china restaurant a few weeks ago on Friday night.North China has been in business for years on Far Hills in Centerville next to the library. We were having a craving for Chinese on a Friday night and haven't had it in a while my Mom had sweet and sour chicken. You can see what a huge portion it is there's definitely enough for 2 to 3 people to eat definitely had leftovers.I went with Hunan beef which was okay, when I got the order home it seemed like it was just broccoli and beef no other veggies. Hunan dishes normally has lots of vegetables and is spicy. It was nothing special. The food was ready in 15 minutes and pickup was quick."
"Large portions for the amount you pay. Turned my meal into two. I got the chicken low mein and egg drop soup and they were better than expected.Definitely recommend if looking for a chill, casual place to eat."
"The service was so friendly and the food was ready in a timely manner. Based on what I heard others ordering there are loads more options than what I saw on the menu. The food was pretty clean tasting - it didn't taste overly sugary and it left me feeling full, but not gross (too sugary, too fatty, too... You know what I mean?!). A couple of large orders fed 5 people. It was a very pleasant experience. I wasn't completely woo'd by the food, but also ordered crowd favorites, not my personal favourites. Would return and try more definitely!!"
"Kung Pao ShrimpGiven several choices, my wife suggests a visit to China Cottage.China Cottage in Centerville is arguably the most interesting and romantic Chinese restaurant of 70+ Greater Dayton Metropolitan area restaurants. China Cottage in Centerville is located in a former steak house property. China Cottage has been transformed into a Chinese restaurant which resembled a restaurant during our recent visit to Shanghai, China.Predictably, my wife requires some time to review the very extensive menu, and this is always a neat indicator. In the meantime, we order China Cottage's version of Golden Calamari.China Cottage original's restaurant is in Kettering, and this small local chain has restaurants in Trotwood, Kettering, Springboro, and Centerville. We do not like that China Cottage has NO lunch menu ( since covid.)My Kung Pao Shrimp plate includes Large shrimp, napa, carrots, onions and celery sautéed in spicy Kung Pao sauce with peanuts. My wife selected Triple Delight: Shrimp, scallops, chicken breast, broccoli, napa, carrots, celery, snow peas and mushrooms sautéed in brown sauce. Our son decided on Hunan Chicken: Sliced chicken breast, broccoli, mushrooms, baby corn and carrots sautéed in spicy Hunan sauce. The ambience of China Cottage is enhanced with window seating. The service, Christina, at China Cottage is excellent."
"I came here to pick up lunch for a work meeting and was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. When you order lunch items they come with chicken on a stick as well (does anyone else start singing Zac Brown Band's Sic Em On a Chicken when you see that phrase?). The staff was very kind and speedy, easily adapting food to be gluten free when needed. While waiting they brought a complimentary coke. I would recommend Chan's Asian Wok if you're in the area!"
"Anyone who loves Chinese knows Pecking. Even if they refer to tot a that yummy little place in Amelia. Everything is fast hot and fresh. They have a multitude of dishes to choose from and they are all great. So, here we are again. Every single day I get a text from my kids, asking, cane go to pecking today? I couldn't eat the stuff everyday but I guess my family could. There are three long dining tables but they seem pretty tight. They mostly do pick up."
"Wow! I'm so glad we found this gem of a place! Dana greeted us promptly and sat us even though we walked in 30 minutes before they closed. We ordered crab rangoons to start and they were delicious!! Probably the best that my wife has had so she says. We also ordered a round of wonton soup. So hot, fresh and delicious! Broth was super flavorful and had a perfect amount of green onion garnish in it! Dana also brought out some homemade chili oil. Super good and spicy! I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken EXTRA SPICY with fried rice, wifey had the orange chicken, and the other two in our party ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp. All came out piping hot, and seasoned to perfection. My KPC was extra hot like I like it and had small chopped red Thai peppers in it. Awesome bonus as I love Thai chilis. I will definitely be back when I'm in town again! I hope to see this awesome family again and again."
"Great, friendly customer service. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The food lived up to its best reviews. Fresh spring rolls. Sauce was tasty without relying on being spicy like so many places do these days. Best crab Rangoon I've had. Lunch portion plate was more than generous and excellent quality ingredients. Even if I'm not back to the same hotel, I'll walk to come back."
"Decided to bring 26 people for a Birthday party. I gave them a week's notice and they said they had a room that was separate from main dining. It worked out perfectly. Food was constantly refreshed, they had plenty of friendly and efficient staff. Staff also didn't seem to mind us getting up, walking around and visiting each other ( some places are annoyed by this behavior). We would definitely do another party here. Thank you to the hard working employees cooking, cleaning and refreshing the food."
"First time visiting and was blown away by how authentic the foods are. To be honest, we heard about Chinese Imperial Inn for a while but didn't stop by because we afraid it is just another Chinese basic fast food restaurant. But no, despite the run down look, the foods were great. The service was great too. Our server greet us with a warming smile and quickly seat us down and take our order. The food came out fast too. I was impressed. After talking to the waitress, we found out the restaurant is over 30 yrs old, family run. No wonder why it has such great ambiance. I would recommend dinning in instead of order take out. Lot of food need to be eaten right away. Sitting in the box makes the food soggy and overcooked. Deff will come back for more. Just thinking about it s me hungry."
"I've been ordering here for about six years and they're consistently wonderful. Some of my family's go-to's are: Chicken on a Stick, Crab Rangoon, Fried Pork Dumplings, Szechuan Garlic Wontons, General Tso's Chicken, and Szechuan Noodle Soup with rice noodles (perfect, spicy soup for winter)! Their Mongolian Chicken (photos added) is super good too, but you better love onions! I usually order delivery but went in recently for a lunch order and the service was fast and friendly."
"The appearance of the place is pretty standard Chinese Restaurant look. Spacious but not too.The service was very quick and the food came out hot and pretty fast.I went outside of my normal Beef Lo Mein and went the Beef Mei Fun (it has rice noodles instead of wheat). I would have preferred a brown sauce (and if I would have thought about ,I would have asked), but it was quite good. For a little hole in the wall, it was VERY good."
