Was checked on quoted often between the two bartenders and host since it was between service hours (3:45pm). The gal next to me from out of town ordered some sides of Mac n Cheese, Asparagus and French Fries for her meal and it did smell delicious."

Prices have increased about 5 bucks an entree since 2021ish. This is all to be expected. Your folks from the sticks will bitch about the price. They'll complain about the fusion foods (though they'll call it something else). They'll fuss about the decor. They are wrong. It's lovely. But don't worry, the whole family is welcome!Your uncle that calls your same sex spouse your "roommate" will be able to order his bud light. The staff may not judge him for this. Don't worry, I will. Got the mojo shrimp plate, it was good, not amazing. The bar didn't have that much choice for non-alcoholic drinks besides soda and jarritos. I asked if they had a chicha morada (peruvian purple corn drink) and the server has never heard of it. I've had better peruvian food in other cities, this is ok. This is an exceptionally delicious Cuban! My son had the Party of 3. He got to pick 3 burger styles to try. He selected: Anthony Munoz legendary burger: a mix of beef burger and chorizo, bacon, corn fritters, pepper Jack cheese, greens and tomato. Wow! Luncho burger: mozzarella cheese chimichurri sauce, lettuce and tomato. Ooo! Fire in the Hole burger. Not super hot but it was one great burger. The lobby and the restaurant are so darn comforting that I hate to leave. Mariemont, itself, is modeled after an old English village concept by Mary Emery. The Exemplar restaurant sits inside the Mariemont Inn - an old half-timbered and brick building. The food is some of the best in the area. I go often just for their omelettes and variations of eggs Benedict. I eat out almost every day and this warm, inviting, and comfortable place is on the top of my list. The quality is consistent. In addition, the wine list is varied - in a good way. I especially like the Chateau Montelena and the Super Tuscan. I strongly recommend that you give the National Exemplar a try."

We ended up sitting upstairs. Kyle was our waiter and greeted us for our drink order right away. My friend and I both ordered the Gingerbread Sidecar. This cocktail was gingerbread rum, pear-infused brandy, and lemon shrub. I loved this cocktail so much I had another! They have a tasting menu choice on their menu and for this selection you get a dish from the first course, second course, third course, and dessert. My friend and I both chose this option but made different selections. I chose the braised carrots, smoked tandoori salmon, Mahi Mahi, and coconut chai rice pudding. My friend ordered winter salad, wagyu meatballs, maple leaf farms duck, and dark chocolate mousse. My favorite dish was the tandoori salmon. My least favorite was the rice pudding. With dessert I had a sauterne and really liked it as well. Our service was impeccable and Kyle coursed it out for us and did not miss a beat. The portions were also very nicely sized. We would definitely go back. I highly recommend."

I asked on Facebook where I should take Lauren to celebrate her kicking butt in everything and @jamesmkarlson recommended @butcherandbarrel. So we booked a reservation and OMG. They made it such a special experience for Lauren. Jennifer (adore her) started out seating us with a note congratulating her, a little bracelet, and non alcoholic champagne she was ecstatic. Like, come on, how freaking adorable is that! Now the food....we went HAM. *Tuna tartare with fried avocado, hearts of Palms, jalapeño crema, and rice crisps. Lauren ate it all! I had one bite. *truffled deviled eggs. Lauren doesn't even like deviled eggs. These were for me. She said it was one of her favorite things. *Lobster bruschetta. Rich, buttery, and fresh. My favorite appetizer. Then the main drop. Australian A5 Wagyu cooked to mother freaking perfection. I died. Then they surprised us with a dessert trio. * hazelnut fig jam crème brûlée. Crème brûlée is our favorite dessert of all time and this was one of the best ones. I asked him if he got the recipe from Jimmy Gibson before he passed away because it tasted just like Jimmy Gs. And if you're in Cincy, you know what I'm talking about.* tiramisu. We were stuck, but we somehow managed to get this down also. Toffee and chocolate mousse and everything you want it to be.* Cream puff with a lemon sauce and berries. It was the perfect ending to such a phenomenal meal. It was light, but it was good and thank God we walked a mile and a half to from the red stadium because we were beyond full. I recommend! The food was outstanding. I love little tapas plates for the price and selection. I've never really had much Argentinian food, but this was next level. I can't wait to go back."

Many years later, I wanted to bring my lady here so she could try it too, and I knew she'd enjoy it. And yes, it's still great after all these years!Their menu isn't as huge as many other Mexican restaurants, but what they do, they do incredibly well. My lady and I came for lunch after a workout at the nearby Planet Fitness. I've always liked the laid back and relaxed vibe here. Plus they have your food ready SUPER fast and it's always delicious. My lady ordered a classic lime margarita which was very refreshing. As for our food, she ordered ground beef tacos a la carte, and I went with one of my all time favorites the burrito grande. Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes and every bite was just as good as I remembered. We were definitely satisfied and full after we finished. And though prices have gone up a little since my college years, it's still very affordable and worth it. Tasha H. "I've ordered delivery from Elephant Walk quite a few times but have yet to dine in person. The food varies depending on if the Ethiopian chef is working the kitchen. Their injera and shiro are ok as are the traditional sides such as gomen, atikilt wot and misir wot. The fish, although well-seasoned, lacks an umpff and would be greatly elevated if tossed with cooked tomatoes and sautéed onions. Lastly, their definition of upping the spice level is adding chopped jalapeños!I'd expect any Ethiopian restaurant to achieve this by increasing the amount of berbere. Major letdown in this area as Ethiopian food is usually prepared quite spicy. I'm not convinced I find them good enough to warrant an in-person dining experience but may decide to try after testing out the other Ethiopian restaurant in town. Overall, a solid 3 at this point."

Until later on when I decided to bring my lady because I knew she'd enjoy it for the ambiance alone. It looks so medieval and unlike anything else in or around Cincinnati. It certainly stands out on so many levels. My lady and I went on a Saturday for lunch. As soon as my lady saw the place, she was amazed, and this was before we even walked in the door. It was a little busy but nothing too bad. The place itself is like a beer garden pulled straight out of the German renaissance period. Their food menu is loaded with different German and American options, and of course, they have a very nice beer selection (especially draft). There's even a huge outdoor beer garden in the back that's right by the Great Miami River. I can imagine this area being very busy on weekend nights. The servers are all super friendly and willing to help if you need an opinion on what to get. After some menu perusal, my lady opted for the schnitzel with bier cheese broccoli, and I opted for a Reuben with bier cheese broccoli and a 16oz Warsteiner Pilsner (their beers come in 16oz, 24oz, and 36oz). We didn't wait long at all before everything was ready. My lady definitely enjoyed her schnitzel and commented on how the sauce and bacon went so well with it. My Reuben was unquestionably one of the best I'd had in a LONG time. The bier cheese broccoli was really good too. I could definitely see us coming back here, maybe later in the day when the outdoor beer garden is open.
