Stopped by here after visiting veals Ice tree and so glad I did!! They have 6 tasting for $10. The lady at the counter was very nice and the pours were generous. I came on a full stomach but the wines had me feeling good. The pinot noir, yee yee (bourbon barreled), and raising were my fav. Yes all diff but I prefer my wine dry and red. If I go for a white it's usually a resting that's a little sweet. But the yee yee was different and since I like bourbon this was nice. They have a few tables to sit at. Pretty small in here. In the sumer they have concerns outside. Nice stop if you're in the area here or the ice tree!

Buck Creek is near and dear to me. I grew up across the field in the neighboring county, so I have been able to proudly support this family owned and operated business for many years. I've been seeing some comments about rude service, and I have to say I can't speak to that. My family and I have always been treated with the utmost respect and hospitality when we visit. I would still highly encourage a visit. They offer a large variety of wines. During the summer, pretty much every Saturday, they host a concert and then in the Fall usually have a wine run on the local county roads. Nice parking lot and areas to sit inside or out to enjoy a glass or bottle. They also serve wine slushies which are perfect for a hot summer day. At times they can be a little too sweet for me so I do limit how often I splurge on them. But still nice to have as an option. Cheers!

I had such an amazing time at Buck Creek with my sister-in-law. They had a variety of cheese, crackers, and meats available to create your own charcuterie board. They also had bottles that were cold and ready to drink on site. The owner was so fun and easy to speak to. They made sure we had everything we need to enjoy our wine and snacks. Outside of their delicious wine that they offer. They also have wine wine slushy. It was $10 to do a Tasting, but we went ahead and purchased a bottle that we had tried from their visit to the Indianapolis home show. They have seating both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating outlook towards the vines. We decided to sit indoors. There's also a parking lot for easy access to the building. You can also order items online for carry out. We will be back!

We made a quick stop after seeing the billboard along 74 while driving through Indiana. It was a small family owned winery with quite a few bottles and varieties made in house. They do small batch barrels. If you want a tasting flight (very affordable at $10 for six) you have to stand at the bar. Very odd. We felt very hurried and didn't really get to savor the experience. The owner was there but frankly a little rude and acted like we were stupid and he was the "expert"...as we do actually know a lot about wine this was insulting and I got the feeling if my husband had been with us it would have been different...We left without buying anything and a bad taste in our mouths from the rude service and hurried experience. I wouldn't recommend.

Great tasting experience at Buck Creek Winery. I'm a Hoosier now living in Sonoma, California, and I work part time in the wine industry and I am a former wine writer for various Northern California and nation wine publications. Suffice to say, growing up in Indiana I despised the sweet wines we are known for making and I was a bit nervous about what I'd expect - especially given that the label looks like something you'd find at a hunting cabin wall versus a hip winery and they make a lot of fruit wine. But, we aren't in California anymore Dorothy. I came into this tasting with an open mind and a goal to only taste wines using Indiana grown grapes (no fruit wine or wine using imported grapes from CA, OR, WA, etc). Our tasting associate was down to earth, informative and friendly. He answered all my geeky questions. I was very pleased with his knowledge about the wines and winemakng process, as past experiences with Indiana wine tastings have often been less than informative. I felt very overwhelmed looking at the two page wine list - 37 wines! I selected six (it's $10 for 6 tastings) and I chose estate and Indiana grown wines and one cider:-William Loyd Reserve (red blend)-Seyval Blanc (white semi-dry)-Forget Me Not (Traminette)-Grady's Hard Cider (heirloom apples from a few blocks away)-Pink Ribbon Rose -Autumn Blush (Catawba)I was tasted the William Lloyd first, which was very confusing, as I would generally taste a guest on a dry white wine first, but, whatever. It was the only wine I chose on the official "dry" list, so that's what my first wine was. Overall, I enjoyed the William Loyd, Forget Me Not and the Hard Cider. Those are the three I left with. The Seyval Blanc was really interesting (acidic with a strange bite to it like a Granny Smith apple) and I look forward to trying more of those at other wineries. The Pink Ribbon Rose was bearable and the Autumn Blush smelled like it was corked upon opening and pouring, but, I was told that was "just how it always smelled." I could not get past the scent of that wine when I tasted it. The rose-orange tinted wine is their most popular, which I cannot comprehend. The wines I took home are dry. The red reminded me of a slightly tannic, but comforting and warm full-bodied Merlot or Syrah-based red blend I'd find back home. A good easy drinking, week night red. The Traminette is Indiana's state grape and this was my first taste of it since I left the state. I really enjoyed it. Its parent grape is Gewürz and it's got delicate floral and fruity notes, but nothing over the top. Really nice wine. The cider was semi-dry and just plain tasty. I noticed glasses of wine were being served in plastic cups, so I opted out of that. They were also selling wine slushies to go in big stryofoam containers, which was hilarious and very Hoosier. Overall, I was pleased to find some wines I enjoyed and look forward to returning to the future to try Buck Creek's other wines. Cheers.

Unfriendly staff. I gave them a pass the last time I visited their winery. I was returning a bottle with a leaky cork. If wine is leaking out, that means oxygen is leaking in, compromising the quality of the wine. The guy (owner, I believe) gave me a hard time about it, saying it's no big deal and that it happens with 10% of their bottles. I buy A LOT of wine, and I can count on one hand the number of leaky corks I've encountered. If this happens to 10% of your bottles, you have a serious problem. Fast forward to today at the Art of Wine event in Carmel. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, we were given the smallest pours of any of the 12 wineries here, then told after a few pours that we needed to make a decision on what we want to buy or leave the table. All of the other tables poured as many tastes as you wanted with no cutoff, but we were told, "You already had 5-6 pours, and there's a long line." First of all, we had only had 3-4 pours, and secondly, we were waiting in that long line expecting to sample whatever we wanted when we got to the front -- like we did at every other table. If you're participating in a wine sampling event that people have paid for, you should let people sample your wines without basically saying, "Buy something or leave." I did buy several bottles of wine at this event from places with friendlier staff and better wines (Mallow Run & Winzerwald for the win!). But I will never give another dime to the stingy, rude people at Buck Creek.

Finally made it out to Buck creek! Before the pandemic, concerts at this cool winery were on our radar and we wanted to check out the outdoor festivities. It never happened and Concerts were put on hold. As we were sampling wine here on Sunday, our server informed us of all the exciting concerts coming this summer. It seems the focus of this winery is giving fans lots of reasons to come back. They have wine slushies to help cool you down and great deals on wine. On this day we sampled 4 white wines and 2 reds. I believe it was $8 for 6 tastings, with each "taste" big enough to share. They also offer quantity discounts for those wanting to buy more than one bottle. We'll be back to this fun location this summer!

Got the opportunity to go taste the wines here on the last day of my trip. They were very kind and welcoming. There are cheese and crackers and local chocolate to purchase for your pairing and wine. It isn't big but when weather is permitting there is patio seating. They also opened up an area in the back where they places more tables and chairs to accommodate more patrons. My favorite was the big buck red. It was a nice experience and they have a lot of awards on their wines. And they are more than happy to share information to any questions that you have.
